    • @@gmic56ify To be fair, embarrassing and shaming guests for laughs is common practice for talk shows. Over the years people have become bored with the idle chitchat that talk shows do and want something more. I've heard things about how her crew complains about her, but for all I know it could just be employees nitpicking things because they just want something to complain about. • @@gmic56ify Exactly. The only reason her treating her crew so terribly has stayed under wraps for so long is because no one talked and this is the same way with her guests; Had they dared to talk back the way Celine did here, then it would have been for more clear to people that what Ellen did was too far and we'd probably all realised sooner that her crew got the same lack of respect. I remember Nicky from Nicky tutorials talking about being on Ellen after her coming out as a trans woman, she talked to Mathijs van Nieuwkerken, a tv host in my and Nicky her home country. And Nicky said she felt pretty much unwelcome, she didn't get to talk to Ellen before the show at all and there was no talk on what Ellen was going to ask so Nicky had no idea what to expect and couldn't tell what she preferred wouldn't be mentioned for example. She gave an example; "Coming here (on the show of Mathijs) you said 'hi' to me before the show, and Ellen didn't do that, at all." No hello or small talk at all. Ellen even now claims she had no idea that her crew treated other people of her crew poorly (as if she had nothing to do with it).
