  • I always love those little touches of awkwardness in Vincent's performance as Fisk; something about his body language, like when he's thinking of what to say for his monologue at the beginning and right down to his fighting style, makes him almost seem like a little kid trying to present himself as an adult. It's a constant reminder of the character's own childhood trauma and Vincent's performance is elevated even further as a result.

    • I read people saying his acting is bad here but u just said what I wanted to say. A lot of times Fisk character is pretending, throughout all the series there are scenes were he is not completely him and he is just saying the words he needs to say. Because when he is him itself, he is just a very traumatized child who grew up getting so much power and influence.

Instead Fisk merely set him loose, so that Castle’s rampage over his enemies would create a power vacuum for Fisk to fill after he eventually gets out of prison. On the other hand, Poindexter was a mentally ill murderer who legitimately enjoyed killing people, not just because he believed in harsh justice. Also, the North Star dependence that Poindexter had made him much easier to manipulate, which Fisk did.
