HP sent me the 2019 HP Omen X 2S 15t to review. I compare it against the 2019 Omen 15t.
Tyhe X2S adds a 6" second screen to help with multitasking as well as liquid metal on the CPU.
Compared to the 15t it also has larger heatsinks for the GPU and one more m.2 slot.

Never used this one myself, but I can't imagine getting it for the 2nd screen when the ASUS Duo series has a much wider option with less wasted space 🤔 I guess better than nothing, but yeah. Maybe this is why HP don't send me anything 😅 looking forward to the review!
ASUS dual is also 40% more expensive
@@borischan5252 There's always the non pro version of the Duo which is around ~$1050 USD in my country. Sure it's only MX250, but my point is there are options if a second screen is the priority.
Yes, I would rather use an external monitor, even a portable one like the Lepow one I reviewed.
Exactly what i thought! Asus Zenbook delivers a much more valueable solution with the wide screen. Yet i have to say, both the Zenbook and the X 2S are way too expensive. A second screen is a nice to have (on the HP it's more of a gimmick though), but it drives prices to a non affordable level. Another detail i like on the zenbook more is cooling: Thicker chassis and the hinge which lifts up the baseunit! I really like the style and design aestetics of the new HP notebooks, starting at the packing and the flat-tube shaped power brick and of course the device itself! I would like HP to focus more on better cooling than on such gimmicky two screen solutions... Looking forward to your full review!
asus isnt nearly as powerful tho. gaming laptops are about performance

This device really intrigues me, if I had the secondary screen I would probably use it mostly for Discord and mayne game recording, gameguides or the control panel. Anyways nice quick overview of the laptop!
Hi Steve.What do you think about toasty components directly underneath the second screen. I don’t think it is going to hold up with that much heat on it .

Which one to choose sir msi gp75 leopard 9se with rtx 2060 or Helios predator 300 with 1660ti And how does the gp75 fare? Is it worth considering
Very interesting laptop, especially the second screen. Personally I wish they add a hinge to the second screen so it can be tilted forward towards the user, for better viewing angle. Perhaps also expose the top side of the fans for additional air intake (think predator helios 700)... Anyway, look forward to the full review. I really want to know what you think of the ergonomics of this design the practicality of the second screen. Cheers!

Yes, I still prefer the 17t. I'm not overly fussed about the second screen. Its just something else to go wrong. I already had a situation where the display adapters disappeared and the smaller screen would not work. I did a system restore and its fine now. Thanks for the heads up on the Illigear systems. I will keep my eyes open at CES if I see them I will definitely cover them

Hi, one question: did you connect your computer to the power supply when the temperatures in default mode were around 50° or not? I recently purchased an HP OMEN 15 and when I connect it to the power supply, even if I set it to comfort mode, the temperatures still reach 90°

Wow 75 degree CPU on default mode..thats impressive. I always prefer to sacrifice fps for better cooling. But my complaint is that, the second screen is small.
Yeah, me too. I'm sure I can get high performance running cooler though. My biggest beef with the screen is that screen capturing feature is terrible!
75 degree CPU is pretty sick on a laptop this thin
I think it's good laptop looks beautiful second screen is going to be useful and it has alot of power sure need to undervolte
I've got it working great. I managed to get max fan working but limiting the PL1 and Pl2 watts and undervolting works a treat .

Any tips for livestreaming without terrible fps on a laptop?
I recommend using a capture card and a second PC to handle the stream, but this has it's own issues. If you just want to show gameplay it's fine but if you want accurate frame rates you need to be running off the dedicated GPU only - in other words no optimis laptop as you will be limited to 60 fps. In this case you might as well stream directly off the laptop you are using. You can try and reduce overhead by changing the windows visual effects to max performance, stop unnecessary background tasks from loading at start up etc. You can undervolt the CPU using Throttlestop, set Speedshift EPP to 1 and disable BDPROCHOT, this will help keep the CPU boosting higher.

No, it's not undervolted yet. I did manage to get max fans working and that does help.

I sent the 17" Omen back already. My live streams were about as popular as a chocolate fireguard so I will only do them on laptops that hold a lot of interest...

Been watching your reviews sir. If i may ask on what to get, an msi gl65 with i7 9th gen and gtx 1650 or legion y545 wit 1660 ti ( but wth problems on thermal ) or the alpha 15. For rendering uses like sketchup and lumion.
Lumion 10 is pretty hard on the GPU , its recommend card is the 1660Ti or above really so I would go with the Y545. If you run with the quiet mode you should be fine or follow my undervolt settings in my Y540 video. Here is the link to the specs for lumion 10 lumion.com//requirements.html

I bought an hp omen 17 2019 an since day one a blue screens appears every time i turn the laptop on, tried every posible solution with hp support but looks like i need to send the laptop to the us to get a diagnosis. Very disappointed with hp
Did the bluescreen code point to anything in particular? Bad RAM perhaps - was it able to go in the BIOS OK? How about a clean install of windows to rule out software issues?
@@OWNORDISOWN yes i did that, with the help of hp support, didnt work i took the laptop to the hp support center here in Perú to get a diagnosis they also tried to reinstall the windows and the problem is the ssd m. 2 wich is not working well, i need to buy a new one ssd. Very disappointed with hp because its a brand new laptop an all previus laptops and deskstops were hp
@@thereaper.6666 I have a similiar problem with my 2018 Omen 15. Laptop crashes multiple times daily, went to get it repaired at HP (Replaced SSD & GPU) and the problem still persists. My disappointment is immeasurable and my day is ruined.

To be honest I get told I look like a lot of things, lol. Usually it is mean things people say. I have been told I look like Sean Lock or Jurgen Klopp, they are probably the nicest ones. Mostly I get called Grandpa , once I got told they wish I was dead. Nice !
