SCP 352 is a Keter Class anomaly also known as Baba Yaga.
SCP-352 appears to be a very old, emaciated woman of indeterminate age and race. SCP-352 speaks Old Russian, but with an accent and dialect that makes translation very difficult.
SCP352 possesses a level of strength and speed much higher than what should be possible for a person of her perceived age and physical dimensions.
SCP-352 appears to subsist on a carnivorous diet, with a strong preference for human flesh. SCP-352 will create a “web” of hair, and wait for prey to become exposed to the enzyme and become more docile. SCP-352 will often remove and eat the limbs of a prey item to prevent it from wandering away.

Oh yeah that catchphrase didnt know he expect that baba yaga would be an scp
This SCP here feels....lacking....like the writer only written the stuff as a carnivorous witch and webs that could manipulate the minds of her victims. There's a lot of tales regarding the infamous witch such as being intelligent and magically powerful. Like her house that have 2 chicken legs and flying in the sky using a mortar. Baba Yaga also noted to be spiritually associated with nature. Embodying the seasons and death itself. As a witch, she is highly skilled in witchcraft and sorcery. Overall if she is labeled as an SCP, she would be put in classes as a Reality Warper. The SCP here just feels lacking.
Lmao I remember that part
It's funny how in the SCP universe, there are no myths or legends because all of them are actually true 😅
Every myth, legend, and story will have its roots in some grain of truth!
One of their mottos is: *"Gods have abandoned us? Bitch, We WISH."*

Hi fellow Brawlhalla player
@@rogueascendant6611 I mean, a fair argument could be made that all that is just exaggeration on the truth of the matter. Someone survived the immortal cannibal witch that makes you hallucinate, and over time the tales evolved to the nature witch of death with a chicken house and a flying mortar. Maybe the chicken house was a result of the hallucinations.

Me a fan of Slavic folklore and mythology in general: ahhhh yes glad the foundation is on this one 🤣
Lol
Any tips on how to get into Slavic folklore and myth? Don’t know where to start as a fan of myths and folklore.
Honestly I don't like this re telling if baba yaga. It's kind of dry compared to the original story
I like the world of darkness interpretation of baba yaga
@@stinshles6929 nice
So I’m not russian and don’t know everything about this but here is what I know. Baba yaga lives in a small hut with chicken legs at the bottom. The hut is surrounded by a fence topped with skulls and other bones. The chicken legs can move on their own. She flys around in a bucket and does eat people especially children BUT she is known for letting them go if she likes them even giving them magical gifts on occasion.
Yeah, the folkloric version of Baba Yaga is more of a crazy old hag occasionally indulging in children eating. Not the boogeyman like she’s portrayed in most popular cultures, which is another entity called Babaika.
There is at least one story of a young lady she helped _after_ the girl met her excessive demands for cleaning and food preparation (the witch didn't know about the girl's magical doll helping her). The young lady ended up marrying the Tsar, so it was a happy ending.
@@ZeoViolet yes I’ve heard of that too
Did you play shadows of darkness too???
@@Kroggnagch never heard of it sorry :(
Imagine going through rigorous training and escaping death every single day only for your unit to be called "The village idiots"
Or catching dangerous SCPs via mail and get called "Pony Express"
There is one thing I noticed that was missing: Baba Yaga sometimes, in some tales, has a leg that has been described as “bony.” Also, there is one tale where there isn’t one, but three: the Younger (the kind one), the middle-aged (the clumsy) and the old (the wise and cruel). They also live in a hut, either on two or four chicken legs.
Excuse me, what? There are sometimes three of them?!
@@emanimatthews12 my parents told me the story of baba yaga alot. (They are russian) and they usually described her as a old lady that Flys in a wine barrel :/ but I never heard of her having 3 legs 🤣

While I can't remember their designation, there IS an SCP made of three powerful reality warpers that fit the description a bit
The pronunciations are murder, good to see an interest in Slavic folklore tho. Fun fact, "Obrecheny" means doomed in several Slavic languages.
Worth mentioning that "Yaga" pronounced as "Yaaga" and not "Yega"

Everything about the SCP foundation is great. I didn't know there was an SCP for this.
you'll be happy to know that there's an scp for most things you can think of
@@SomeGuy-xd5fn I know. There's like even a SCP for something that's incomprehensible. That's one thing that's to be appreciated about this is the fact that everything and anything's possible. And there's so much variety and possibility with the SCP foundation.
By their standards, anything strange and super natural is most likely in the care of the SCP Foundation. If we know about something chances are they knew about it first and have already contained it
There’s many Scp’s that was in many folklores mythology’s which make them look real (They’re not real the scp’s are only fiction)
There's a Pizza Box SCP... :)
it's sad that babushka Yaga is just a killing monster that demands flesh, instead of a supernatural potion-brewing granny that can fly in a big barrel or whatever it is called in english and a broom, while helping some main characters in slaying Koschei the Immortal or some other beast to save a beautiful lady, which too has supernatural abilities. Sounds way more interesting, amiright?
I remember two specific stories I read about Baba Yaga as a kid, one where a little girl who was in the woods found various objects and was kind to them, like using the butter from her bread on rusty gates to quiet the hinges. She encountered Baba Yaga and was ordered to take a bath before the old lady ate her. But her kindness to the objects around her let her flee the witch, who chased her while the child would toss those things and they became barriers like a lake or trees. The girl got away. The other one was the classic nasty stepmother/two stepsisters story, and the other girl was the poor stepsister they were trying to get rid of. This girl's only gift from her mother was a small doll that was really alive. This story involved the witch actually _helping_ this young woman, but not before making excessive demands on her that would have been impossible to keep without the magical help of the doll. Buuuut impress the witch enough, and she'll help you, for sure.
@@ZeoViolet I remember a baba yaga tale kinda like a mix between both of yours but with the cruel stepmother and stepsisters being burned to death.
IIRC, she flies in a giant Mortar and Pestle (A tool set for grinding herbs) and if you're polite to her, she can be downright helpful. Just don't cross her or you'll regret it. Her house has a pair of giant chicken legs, allowing it to move to a different part of the forest at her whim as well, so you never know where she might be.
We should bring Baba Yaga and the Old Man together. It would be love at first sight
But his wife was Anna But as she is dead so he can fall in love with Baba yaga
Lol
@@deadinside8719 you do know that's a theory origin right
You gotta love children who are stupid enough to walk into the woods at night.
One of the nicer ways to go in the SCP universe I suppose. You’re happy and seemingly don’t feel the pain when she kills you.
You’re still eaten alive tho, and she takes her sweet time doing it too
@@omegazin But it doesnt look like you feel anything while you are dying tho. Considering how some of the "violent" scps normally try to keep people alive as long as possible while watching them suffer, id say that using hallucinogens to eat people alive is "pretty good".

A nice detail in the name of the village.Obrechenny, translated from slavic languages , means doomed or demised, which in of itself, is foreshadowing, but in the tales, she was more interested in children, and almost never even got close to mature,at least humans and that change is well accepted.Good job of simplifying the whole scp, and explaining it for the people who don't know the myth.

She´s probably the reason why Transsexuals are doing surgeries that often since the last decades. Baba Yaga give the victims a satisfing feeling they are belonging to the opposite gender and to make a sex reassignment surgery. Then she makes a deal with a sex rassignment surgeon to get the gender part cutted of to get human meat. Transsexuals and other members of LGBTQ* aren´t welcomed in many Slavic Countries (Poland, Russia . . . ), because they know how Baba Yaga works, because it´s their folklore! I bet that´s the truth behind sex rassignment surgeries!

I am endlessly amused by the fact the a small town named "Doomed" is quite a believable toponym for all Slavic countries and suites the 352 beautifully. Also, the day when non-slavs will learn to put stress in "Yagá" correctly will be the day she breaks containment for good so maybe we should just learn to accept the Hollywood pronounciation...
