  • Hi, all of you whom do not know the true circumstances of this event withessed, here is the background. For years some "photographers" have put carrion in a certain location in an open swap in Kuhmo, Finland to groom apex predators like bear, lynx, wolverine and wolf* to frequent the spot. Ravens and eagles have also seen the opportunity for a free meal To maximise camera exposure of these apex ptedatores, the carrion is attached with steel wires to the adjecent conifer tree, so not to allow it to be carried away and hidden by any of the bears, wolves* and wolverines. What in fact has been filmed is an human influenced animal interaction which would not reproduce in the wild. The animals whom you see, bears, wolves* and all are conditioned to be fed in the same exact spot for years, and their behaviour is direct response of adaptation of these forced artificial conditions. The animals have learned to u8nderstand that there will always be carrion on this location. Only downside is that there are many animals whom will seek put this location for a free meal, and that the carrion is fixed on site with metal wires so that all the action will remain in one spot. Note also that there is a commercial business delivering tours to this location for amateur nature photographers to get prime photos of "wildlife" interacting. Why the * for everytime that wolf is mentioned, is that the wolves you see in the film are not pure gray wolves but the offspring mix of old USSR border patrol wolfhybrids whom managed to mix with the true graywolf poulation and thereby contaminating the wolf population genome in this area neighbouring russia and finland. Smithsonian ! What is the nature conservatist value to broadcast this perversion?!

    @rlepola@rlepola5 жыл бұрын
    • The benefit of making wildlife documentaries featuring large carnivores is it gets the general public interested in them and hopefully empathetic to their preservation, so I for one am ok with staging of an event like this if indeed that is what is happening. And what is preferable, filming them unfettered in a wilderness, or slapping them in an enclosure for people to gawk at?

    • @@rsoul7282 Hi. I can understand your perspective in the matter.. But as we are talking nature consetvatisim I do not approuve of grooming bears to behave and interact in such an artificial way, also presenting this dog wolves to the public as real wolves is also an unforgiven act that goes against preserving the pure dna of wild wolves..
