Whatever we did to deserve twice a week uploads, I'm all here for it. You the man, Alex!
Thanks for watching Charles!
Who wants to see more of Craig and Rusty doing cool builds with Alex? Without such a time crunch haha
Yes please
You mean Kreg? American pronunciations 🙄🤣
@@ManKidRideshahaha yes lol
I love when Alex drops a midweek video. Thank you brother appreciate everything you do.
Right? I expect Saturday vids, but a mid week gets me pumped.
This is by far the best automotive channel on KZhead. I love the fact that I'm not having to watch 90% time laps footage. Keep up the great work!!
I see V8 AMG, I immediately click like with out even watching a minute because I already know it's going to be Fuego content.
Thanks Anabel!
It's such a treat to see a Mercedes master tech tuning up an engine. So many tips and tricks.
Definitely guys if you're reading this and watching Alex, man this guy has put in the WORK and the TIME to build this channel. I remember when he was working for the City of Chicago (or something like that) fixing all the broke down Chevys they run out there, and man.. he's come SO DARN FAR with his passion for automotive madness!! I don't think you all realize how IMPORTANT that subscribe button is to hit, and it's just a click of the mouse.. it's NOTHING to you.. seriously, dude quit his day job to focus on US 100% of the time and honestly doesn't ask us for anything! He's also got some awesome products in his shop, the foam cannon is amazing!
I never was really into Mercedes until I started watching this channel.
Ok.... I've never been a big Mercedes fan (mostly bc I'm poor) but doing a build like this would be absolutely epic! This video is going in a playlist in case I ever find an AMG C63 (or similar) I could revive and upgrade! Great job and love all the info throughout the process like always!
"It always helps to have studs install these"...the way Rusty looked at the camera....made me moist!
The amount of engine tear down and reassembly knowledge you guys possess is amazing. It’s simply way too daunting for me. 👏
The C63 AMG Edition 507 is my favourite car of all time. My dream car. Watching these videos just brings joy to my heart. Alex you're the man. Greeting from South Africa 🇿🇦
"Clickenhausen" I spit all my coffee, thank you Alex :D
You probably saved 20 minutes not having to fart around with the cherry picker to hoist the engine onto the stand.. Nice work on that one!! Ingenious I say, Ingenious.
The Black Series SLS lifters are coated in DLC (Diamond Like Coating). Good Stuff. You could have used the original chain, it was polished and broken in.
Really liking that you're back on the two upload per week schedule, thank you! Side note - that Delorean would be amazing with an NA M156 with a T56 or Porsche manual gearbox (depending on fitment and available adaptors).
I don't think a T56 would work because since the DMC is a rear engine, you would need a transaxle and not a transmission. So a Porsche 5 or 6 speed would probably be the best setup.
@@chesspiece81 I was originally going to say transaxle, but I have seen LS1 swaps with the T56 so I wasn't sure. But yea the easiest would be the Porsche G50 or I think 915 from what I've read.
He should put an ls4 in there, the transverse ls in the impala ss and the grand prix gxp
@Moecean And a pretty shitty auto. A built, boosted, K series, with a 6 speed and LSD would be cool. I'm a LS/LT fan boy
Truly a man after my own heart... I love W204 mercedes coupes and boosted Trans AMs.
Did not want the video to end. Checked time 5 times while watching 😅. More stuff like this Alex. You have best stuff here, always happy to see your video notification 🎉. Greetings from Georgia 🇬🇪
I'm just really happy to see you go from 50k to over 1M subscribers. @19:52... Yes. I've probably disassembled/re-assembled as many Nissan VQ35/40 engines as you have Mercedes engines. I used to do one head gasket or re-bearing job a day. There's a certain satisfaction when you restart an engine after you had it all torn down on your bench.
Love watching these performance engine builds
I’m a 12 year W204 C63 owner. Very gratifying to see this motor in such good condition as mine also has 85,000 miles. I also have installed a blower (ESS) 8psi kit. Prior to install we did a compression test, ARP head studs and cam phaser plates. Killer chiller rounds out the build.
That's great! Must be a monster!
Also did a Southern Hotrod War Viking build on the transmission. Raybestos GPZ friction discs are a great upgrade from stock. Weistec high capacity trans pan good for cooling.
Gotta love when you get to a video so quickly you know nobody has fully watched it yet
The ending is a real plot twist! I'm from the future.
Yes🔥🔥
Almost everytime. 🤙🏻
The video had 1200 views when I started and it had 15000 views when I finished
Yep that's generally how it works
That final 180 degree torque pull is ridiculous!! I’m sure you’d strip the threads at 181 degrees…sheeeezzz
Man Do I Ever Appreciate The Excellent Content, All The Informative, Hard Work You Do Getting These European/Domestic Vehicles Improved & Going, Hearing Internal Combustion Engines Going Is Where It’s At, Thank You So Much Alex, I Can Not Wait To See What’s Next Sir..
The chamber attached to the idler gear is actually a spinning centrifuge for crankcase breathing. It's a really good idea to inspect inside the breather hose port on the front of the timing cover with a borescope camera before bolting the cover on. That will ensure the reverse mounted seal on the inside of the cover isn't pinch rolled on the centrifuge. Ask me how I know.
Come on guys hit the subscribe button Alex is a very nice genuine dude down to earth and produces really good content and never has scummy clickbait thumbnail or titles
Nothing better than your Benz videos
Thanks for the Amsoil link!!! I love it when you help us little guys out haha.
Wow, Awesome work from Alex and the Modern Masters team!
Instead of pulling up against the prybar trying to hold down against the floor, flip the torque wrench over to above the pry bar and push it down which will assist to hold the pry bar into the ground. You will also be able to add more weight or add a hollow extension pole for more leverage.
Was gonna type this...
Thanks Alex love this build! Amazing how quickly you tear into this . Rusty and team also experts.
It was soothing watching you rebuild that brother ❤️🙏🏾
If you ever feel unlucky or down. Go sit in that benz and listen to a song. You living a dream life.
This is a "Classic LSC" masterclass. Love it.
A great follow up to the first video, and excellent to see people who really know what they are doing working on engines. Looking forward to the next in this series. You have also convinced me to subscribe!
These viseos/ the work is LEGIT. Very fun to watch!!!
Great one bro ,keep them coming!
great to see you working on the Mercedes again. AMAZING
Max, thanks for helping Alex crank out two vids a week!
Congratulations Alex!
Wow 13:13 that engine looks amazing. I wish I could be like you when it comes to cleaning. I think one thing that makes your channel different is that you care about your cars so much everything has to be perfect. Most mechanics are like the the interior of that miter is what matters and they don't give a damn about what the outside looks like. You strive to make all your vehicles show quality and almost factory perfect (maybe with some additions). Vroom vroom
Love this series! Great work!
Underrated channel. Love your work alex!
Dam,.you guys are flying through this engine. Another amazing LSC project with an amazing team.
Another awesome video, Alex, Craig and Rusty!!!!!!
Man this is awesome! Can't wait to hear that Supercharger whine! Great work Alex! 🔥🔥🔥🔥
Midweek video= AWESOMENESS!!!
Great stuff thanks. I love the fact that you put more power to everything you own. I cannot wait to see what it puts down on The dino. Merry Christmas and happy New Year from me and mine to you and yours.
I'm enjoying this video. Great job guys.
Missed opportunity for a “roll that beautiful bead footage”
That timing chain idler oil slinger is for the crankcase ventilation. It uses the centrifugal force to sling out the Oil, to keep it from being pulled out with the air. The dodge 3.6l base one on the end of the camshaft.
Great video Alex
Thanks for making another mid week video Alex! Now I have something to watch during lunch time!! 😁
Love ALL your videos! So down to earth and humble. LOVE everything you do. Great job
Awesome videos! Thank you!
Appreciate a master technician building an engine. You learn what to look out for and best practices & tricks of the trade. Best of luck with the dyno run!
The Merc is amazing craftsmanship..thanks for sharing
The content is top notch as always my good sir!
Great build, will follow.
Dude I'm so glad I found your channel. Keep up the awesome work brother

Alex, as a Mercedes Benz driver and shade tree mechanic on it and other brands, I appreciate the car life ( or back to life, back to reality) vids you make .....I would use your group as my personal garage cause you dont just just fix the problem but you bring them back to life and a much faster reality!! THANKS ALEX!
Keep doing what you’re doing Alex you’re the man !!!
This makes my morning so much better!
Awsome video man!!! This really made my wendeday seeing this video!

This is classic LSC content, entertaining whilst being informative. Crazy amount of bolts in this too! Merry Christmas LSC Team. Shout out to Max for the rapid bolt edits 👏
Absolutely amazing project
I want to see Alex's wife reaction when he wheels the engine block into the dining room and uses it instead of plates. Nice to see you tear down an engine that doesn't have pieces falling out.
I'm an old mechanic and I'm glad I came across your channel a couple of years ago. Love your stuff.
You guys are a great team wow great job
Love this! Such good entertainment and film craft
I subscribe to several car channels, LegitStreetCars is the only channel that doesn't trigger my OCD from things being done half ass. Love the channel man. Keep the videos coming!
I've never built a full engine...I've thought about doing it just as a hobby. Pick a common "project engine". Something like an 5.3 LS. Or I thought about buying an 4.3L LV3/LV1 that I could mod and eventually swap into my truck as a plug n play since that's what's in it. But maybe mild cam and some lifters and such. Just better than factory and something easy to do while bored.
I'm not sure they use "Clickenhousens" in Germany, I think they use "Goodentites" over there....LOL
Wow! Another video, Alex? Let's go💪
A midweek video? What a fun surprise. 👍
Man I love the amg content 🔥🔥 w204 c63 is my dream car right now
I can watch Mercedes engine construction ALL day! Sounds crazy, but, I've grown fond of my '06 C230 Sport sedan's M272 engine. I've had it apart and back together. No codes and the scary cam gear issue was solved before I got it. Looking forward to getting the upgraded intake kit from FPC Euro. Imma make this car special! Keep up the solid content, bruh!
Loving the content LSC ❤
Merry Christmas to you and the family. Thanks for another year of excellent content 🎉
Wow so Happy did not expect a video tonight. You made my day
Watch you since the beginning and i have to tell you you build an amazing Chanel, congrat for everything you done !!
