2015 Audi Q7 S Line Sport Edition. The sport editions had the v12 body kit from Europe and there were 750 in the U.S.
2017 S3. Love it.

2001 Audi allroad Quattro twin turbo
This is like watching two distant cousins at a family reunion, casually bickering while trying to assemble a gazebo tent.
...and one knows what he's doing, while one THINKS he knows.
😂😂😂😂😂
"I've got pliers. Where they are I couldn't tell you". I laughed waaaay too long at this. Guess it's cause I'm also a tech.
🤣😂🤣😂
Story of my life. Just replace "pliers" with any other thing you would look for...
I was just holding them and now they’re lost…
That could apply to any household tool.
I had these beautiful full size pliers from Craftsman (old school) that someone at work took from me. They left their pos toy pliers. I was so mad/sad I can't even...
Alex: "You got any power tools?" Samcrac: "No No, I do everything by hand" Alex: "oh oh so it's all hand built here at Samcrac Headquarters". Samcrac: "Well, the Ferrari engine was all hand built, so what better way to put it back".. love the banter between these two.
You missed the best part, where Sam completes with "I tried with my feet once, it didn't work..."
But he’s got pliers.
@@MarceloBenjamin haha yep... Sam tagged it with that "feet" line and the edit is so tight it almost cuts him off. perfection.
All that typing to say that? Could’ve just commented about the banter & saved everyone some time… Smh
The S4 was one of the best car I ever owned. Aside from the difficulty working on it yourself, I fell in love with it. I plan on finding one after my chemo treatments end.
Own an Audi is not a great way to follow up chemo treatments. 😂 But I sincerely wish you a the best outcome.
Wish you a quick and painless recovery!
@@shwndh Funny as hell. Thanks for the response.
@@alihussain7040 Thank you.: )
Wish you a good recovery!
LOL, "I've got tools, I've got all kinds of tools. I just don't know where they are!" Sam is my spirit animal.
Hey Alex, I'm sorry to tell you but since I parked this over the grass 2 weeks ago the undercarriage is already rotted out because that's what happens when you park cars on the grass.
In that case you can have it. It's too far gone.
Lol 😂
😆😆😆😆
And the ants. How did Alex not comment on the ants crawling around on and in the car?
This was really entertaining to watch. Fixing the S4 on a chicken farm with Sam was great!
Sam is loud mouth ass.
Hey Randy maybe u will learn a few things keeps watching!!!
Your patience with Sam is more than I could handle. Great work
This S4 is great, hasn’t been modded to hell… 1 minute later… can’t wait to mod it!
Good ole buying an unmodified car just to modify it
@@davisdesigns1153 the problem with buying cars with mods cars is its a gamble if a hack did it or not. Also if was abused after getting mods. Its always the safest to just get it done yourself so you know how the job was completed and how the car was handled
because this thing is slow af for some reason. look at how long it took to get to mid 50mph at 3:22
@@vinny6_9 I wonder if that's related to the low fuel rail pressure though.
@@johnnysouza5601 could be. He better not be running that thing lean since it's boosted.
Alex: "I have, I have lifts, Sam..." Sam: "Not all of us are big time..." Alex: "Yeah...one day..." 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
I laughed at that part lol, the look Of disgust in Alex’s face hahaha
Sam is like the friend you let help you out but he ends up breaking shit lol
yea but hes funny so its ok lmao
Samcrac is entertaining as a supporting character as much as a main one.
31:04 Look at sam's face 😂
“I tried with my feet once...it didn’t work” That one killed me nice one Sam
1:32 yeah, hearing chickens and cows while working on your car is probably a nice change from hearing nonstop gunfights 3 streets away
“I have pliers. Where they are I couldn’t tell you” every damn time!
Until the Aston project almost didn't who Sam was. Changing the clutch in the chicken barn on his back made me a believer. Because LSC is in Chi town, my hometown, it's my Fav. But the synergy of them together was great. You drove that broke down Benz with more & worse conditions in less survivable weather all the way home. You must be getting older or "Big Time". Luv you man.
Love collabs and especially Sam's intense sarcasm 😂😂 "Not all of us are big time" - Sam, with almost 2x the subs Alex has 🤣🤣
AAR has half the subs of Sam and got a free lift from Wildfire a year ago.
😹😹😹😹
good to see both you fellas working on one job. normally watch each of your channels. always good info and you always get the job done.
OMG I just realized watching Alex working on the Audi engine this a KZhead Auto content creators version of the Odd Couple. Sam is Oscar and Alex is Felix. Amazing.
Hangin with you Alex, you are one of the best car guys. I have a Caddy STS-V, only 2500 plus built in 4 years. Check them out. 469 horse. Fastest sedan built in their day. You won’t be disappointed. Now on to a million viewers.
@Tony Thanks Tony! I too put a cold air intake and smaller pulley. I’m closer to 500 crank hp. At the time (07) the STS-V was considered the fastest production sedan on the planet. No matter what, both were beast at the time. I’ll never get rid of the Caddy. Mine was 1 of 43 according to the Vin#. Someday the value will fuse but for now you can get one for mid teens to 25k
But it's a Northstar engine....
@Tony I had a Kia Forte that was rated 9 seconds 0-60 on the internet, but always did between 7.5-8 seconds 0-60. Internet is not a good source for these type of information. It depends on where you live, atmospheric pressure, altitude and temperature are things to consider. I'm not a scientific, so if anyone knows better, you can correct me.
@@maximeparent3004 I had an 81 VW Rabbit 🐇 non-turbo, 0-60 in ~28seconds, but after lots of mods, I was able to cut that down to ~26seconds. I really miss the sound of that amazing diesel powerhouse 🤨😳
@@gregrn779 nice car, I would like to drive an old car like this and maybe have one. I guess it was good on gas mileage too!
Every time I watch a video, I think: Man that guy is just a genuinely nice dude! And it makes me want to go wrench on my car!
Loved watching you guys work together Awesome job
I love these colabs, you two are my favourite automotive youtubers. Please do more videos like these!
Good choice! I drive a b8.5 SQ5 with APR Stage 2+ and it rips for an suv. These 3.0's are solid motors. Can't wait to see more mods.
We noticed Sam is hardly sweating and Alex is melting! 😆
We Florida peeps are *built different.* 🙃

Have you put the vacuum line on the underside of the supercharger back on?
I was thinking the same and wondering if anyone noticed lol
@@AMLagonda I thought the same, I was going to comment that too
What happens if all the vacuum lines arent connected?
@@thelightskinliberian885 - Massive vacuum leaks, idle problems (if it runs), air fuel ratio problems, check engine light.
This was the 1st thing i caught, they both put the blower right back on top & i didnt see them connect the hose he said he didnt want to forget in reverse!
Someone needs to do a Borat style interview of German engineers and ask them why they do what they do. "Why is the timing chain at the BACK of the engine? What was the logic?" and "Why did you start using single use connectors throughout the engine?"
You two need to do more things together 🤣 Great banter. Also excited to see you do some mods and work on this car. Keep up the great stuff Alex 👍
With Sam’s deluxe tools and help, the job only took twice as long.
Great find Alex. Nice foreshadowing on the last video RE: face lift preference as well. Glad to see you made friends with the rooster as well. MVP for this video is that rusty Allen wrench! (Samcracc samcracks me up lol)
I love the back and fourth between you two. You two should definitely do more videos together
Awesome longer video! Love how you take time to make these!
You guys are great together enjoy every second of this video.
Power windows and locks still an option! As I sit in my 2017 f150 with manual windows and locks.....
You guys have a great dynamic. Love it.
Drove my friends 1974 Audi 100 LS in my move from Milwaukee to SoCal in 1977. Performed flawlessly.
Hey Alex! Love the friendship you two guys developed. I like Sam a lot, he is really funy, and the collaboration was awesome! 😁
Alex you and the Florida chicken farmer guy Sam, you bought this S4 from, are the most hilarious comedy team 🤣 I've seen in a long time !
You need to expand your horizons.
I would love to see a build series on this S4. Make it happen, Alex!
15:13 can confirm the rattle is normal. My dad has a touareg hybrid. Even tho its a 2014, it has the same supercharged v6 and it does rattle on cold starts.
It can be worn timing guides too
I have an A7 with the same engine as the S4 and would 100% recommend at least an intake to hear the supercharger whine
That's not what makes a supercharger whine.

You two get along great .. the back and forth is making me chuckle!
Really digging the collab content with Sam! Great video.
Had the same in South Africa, it was a 2010, but most issues fixed on it under warranty. Definitely a tune, went from a car I respect for what it is to a car I loved. Traded it, and miss it on most days
A fellow South African... Hello from Johannesburg. I myself wouldn't mind this gen s4, but my biggest worry would be that s-tronic gearbox if it goes wrong.
I had the same engine C7 A6.Trade mine also😣😣
Always nice 2 c 2 car gurus bashing it out about cars, it's never boring & highly informative. More videos like this needed
hahaha I like how you guys are teasing each other and just being honest. I think there is no harm in telling the truth straight away, at least better than finding it out the hard way, keep going guys, I really like both of your channels.. the genuine type of people.
I love Sam...he's hilarious...we need more Sam....I also use FCP Euro for my Volvo parts
Love the collab 😂 Yall had me entertained
Brilliant video! Great info on the Audi. Love Sam, great youtuber. Keep it up Alex👍
I drive a Q7 with a revised version of this supercharged 6. I would have replaced the PVC valve while in under the supercharger as they commonly fail causing excess crankcase pressure, blow by, and increased oil consumption, but you do you. I love my Audis.
These videos with you and Sam are cracking me up so much! And I have had very good experiences with Carly (for BMWs) and I just keep the yearly subscription going.
Pls put an eventuri intake. I’d buy the B8.5 S4 Avant with the manual.
Gotta mod the S4. Pulleys, exhaust, and tune. Good channel vid!
Audi service mode is really cool, the whole core support and everything folds forward to give you enough clearance to access the front of the engine to replace water pump, etc...
My vw passat b5.5 also has this. Not too bad once you've done it a few times
That is for sure a great tool set Sam has! I have one myself 😂
Have to say, that farmer seems handy around the engine. And, luckily he has some tools too...
10/10 video. I love Audi’s. Much better/cheaper to maintain when you’re willing to learn to do as much as you can yourself. But they can be very rewarding cars to own and drive. I drive a 2005.5 B7 Audi A4 2.0T Quattro with the TipTronic.
love that you're finally getting into audis. my roommate has a b8.5 s5 and i have a c7 s6. big fan of both platforms but you need to see what a stage 3 4.0t feels like on ethanol :)
Love the collab with Samrac, he is a funny guy.
More video’s with Sam. You 2 make a great team 🤪
Thanks Joe!
@@LegitStreetCars love that Merc shirt, didn’t see anyone else comment... love it. Great collaboration. I think you should tune it , dual pully... then run it against the 335, see which is quicker. Should generate a lot of interest with the right title and key words. Great content 👍🏾
back in the early 90's, I used to work for a vw/audi/porsche dealer. I loved the first gen s4's. 1991 to 1994 , A 2.2 5 cylinder turbo making 220 horse power, was good back then , and drove tight compared to their base model the Audi 100. Just a fun car.
Talk about dream life for both these guys.I’m glad they share some of it with us I appreciate the entertainment!
Watch out for the rooster! He's gone after Sam, several times 🤣😂
Sam is hilarious I love these type of collabs.
Lol at the rusty Allen keys. “They’re not rusty, They’re mine.” Awesome. Love that guy
2014 SQ5 101k changed thermostat and known issues and it's rock solid
The best engine was on the shirt on Alex's back.
Guess he picked the new car. Nice choice man!
Audi and VW maintenance is very expensive to maintain. The last VW I had was a Golf in the 1980s and love it. Brought it in for routine mileage service and it was $700.00. I told the guy I wanted a routine service, not an engine to overhaul. I was in Germany when the Quarto came out. I took my car in for a service and the Quatro was there brand new. I left and when I came back the Quarto was wrecked sitting there. A German took it for a test spin and flipped it. There was a little snow on the road and the guy came in really mad because he thought the Quatro would hold the car in the curve even with snow.
I appreciate the technical value of your videos
I don't think anyone that has ever worked on a audi has said you should try out an Audi the lie detector test determines that was a lie 🤣 anyways good luck with her sell it asap and run as fast as you can
The dynamic between you and Sam is hilarious. This video was great
I have a fahrenheit edition VW Jetta and have been loving the unitronic software for tuning the engine and the dsg transmission so definitely check them out for the S4. I have also heard good things about GIAC.
Love the content man. Maybe you could do one of your videos where you look at problems the model has had.
31:28 Watch Sam's arm movements. Now we know what living around chickens does to you! Do the chicken dance Sam! 😂
All aluminum engines fare better under overheating conditions. Iron block and aluminum head would be worse because you have two different metals.
I’ve been using FCP Euro for years, best for me is that I live 40 minutes away from their retail outlet. That comes in handy when your returning brake rotors under warranty.
Love watching these guys.💪🏾💪🏾
you can get a brand new wrangler without power door locks and windows... they are an option
That makes sense with removable doors.
This made me feel like I was watching step brothers
Really like the collaboration. I watch both you guys.
Can't wait for you to take it the the emergency room. Your mechanical skills and knowledge and experience is top notch mahn. I really can't for wait for you to take it apart if it has to go that far
With everyone buying cars from “dealer auctions” it’s not representative of what we could do as DIY people. That’s one of the reasons I watched both you and samcrac.
Is it though. A man without a dealer license found someone who did to buy a car for him. Tons of people all over the US offer similar services as to what Sam gave legit streetcars.
For a hefty fee…
Alex is at Samcrac territory 😂 Happy Legit Saturday Folks! Isn't that the same type Audi that did the cannon ball run record?
really fun vid, Sam is a hoot! lucky you with such an easy fix.
I like the fact that the best car content creators all know each other and do videos, great to see!
28:06 Watching at .5 speed you did say to twerk 😆
Sams cows have advanced on the Audi.
They're cute!
Definitely need more of the Audi, curious what the other faults are and how much performance you can squeeze out of it.
I own a 2013 S4 with 75k on her and even a simple stage one ECU-TCU tune from 034 Motorsports or Integrated Engineering(I have 034) will more than wake up the S4 and keep it reliable and I still get 30 MPG or better! There is an auxiliary electric water pump that sits down low on the drivers side and should be able to test the output of the electric pump with a VW/Audi specific scan tool. I've owned my S4 for about a year now and they're definitely not super cheap to maintain/repair but the performance output of this car in a strait line, on curvy roads/track and on the snow/ice are more than amazing. This S4 is an amazing Daily driver and weekend getaway car :)
