If you have a 2012 and up M156 car you're good to go and have the new style head bolts. If your M156 is older than 2012 then look at your left valve cover sticker to read the engine serial number.
If your serial number is before 60-060658 then you have the old-style head bolts unless they were already replaced. If you're unsure just remove a valve cover and look! You might get lucky.
Here are some instructions on how to do the LIST! (This is only to be done on car that doesn't have broken mechanical parts of the engine. If you suspect and serious issue have it diagnosed)
1. Pull spark plugs and spray a carbon-removing product approved for engines in the cylinders. Don't go crazy here you don't need much at all. Let that sit for at least 1 hour.
2. Inspect and replace worn out spark plugs, fuel filter, and air filters.
3. Blow out carbon removing product from cylinder and install spark plugs
4. Pour and engine flush into engine oil and follow the instructions on the bottle for how long the engine needs to run.
5. Perform and oil change.
6. Inspect and either clean or replace your PCV valve. If you suspect the intake to have oil, remove intake and clean.
7. The fun part! After letting the engine warm up to operating temperature drive the car in a low gear and run engine at around 3000-4000 RPM. Obviously, be safe here and do this on an approved road. Vary load and RPM for 10-15 minutes. If you're on a closed course you can go wide open throttle and really blow that carbon out!
Have fun and I take zero responsibility for anything you do.

You know your doing good when you can say dirt cheap and 27k at the same time with a straight face. Love the videos
Compared to other comparable Edition 507 cars
Everything is relative
Cheapest c63 amg starts at 55k usd in my country
@Michael Curley he feeds them and puts a roof over their head in exchange for labor? Not a bad deal really. You're lucky to find someone willing to actually work these days.
just about anybody else too if they'd bought a car during 2021 or 2022 - used cars are just now starting to go for not-so-crazy numbers... but yep I agree dropping $27k on a used car with some suspected mechanical numbers is by definition a "rich person's game"....
Happy mid-week video people! Love you guys!
Nice
Put the wheels back to stock!
This is so sick would love to come check this car out if you’re ever by iron gate motor condos with it lmk!!!
Solo Alex is the Best Alex
Definitely need to change the wheels back to the OEM color
Alex busting out the Italian with the hand gestures had me rolling As to your question about any other languages we (your subscribers) speak: German Gujarati Hindi I was born and raised in the USA, learned Gujarati from my parents, picked up Hindi by travelling to India with my family, and learned German in Jr High and High school.
I bought a loaded 2024 Subaru Outback Limited XT back in Sep ‘23 (below MSRP!!!), and it’s the first time I’ve EVER been in a Subaru-I’m in love! I literally keep adaptive cruise control on all the time, especially in heavy traffic, where I’ve got another layer of protection in case I’m looking at something off to the side at the same time the car in front of me slams on its breaks. Yes, that has happened more than once. So I like looking at things all around me. 😂 Your AMG is a gorgeous car, and I’m thoroughly enjoying this series (as I have all of your others).
I am from Sweden. Italian tune up is a common thing here too. We in Norden or in Europe loves Mercedes and I think you have a lot of followers from Europe because you started do videos about Mercedes cars. You does a good work!
sweden here too.
I’m German, watching an American fixing German cars :) Great content, keep it up!
Ha ha good stuff. As an Aussie, who drives a German c200 kompressor watching an American work on a German car and replying to a German....wait..what was I saying? Bastard of a car to work on, but nice engineering to a point.
An Italian* After all, he actually speaks it in this video!
Nothing like Italian, I’m only half Italian but love listening to it one day I’ll learn it properly since it wasn’t really spoken at home but I do speak Spanish, English, and Korean oh and a little Japanese
@@ranga2050 ah right. Wasn’t quite sure, if he’s half Italien and half American or just Italien…
As a w204 C63 owner, I love the cars & content! Stay with it Alex! Great job brother!
I love your channel and really enjoy the content you put out. It's nice to see how far you have come over the years.
What a cool back and forth with Giuseppe! My great-aunt and great-uncles spoke Tsalagi (Cherokee). Hard language, but, the Algonquin dialect has been merged with the American Lexicon for generations, now. My great-aunt spoke to her cat in Tsalagi. That cat responded to EVERY command she gave.🤣
Lol!
Stock wheels all the way. They'll look great with the new rotors. The underside of that car is crazy clean. I sold cars for awhile in Georgia and, even though we don't have to worry about salt rust or anything, a 9 year old car would have more rust than that here. Excellent content as always. Makes me wish I was still physically capable of working on cars. My Mazda rollerskate is due for major service :)
Yup, also replace that aftermarket steering wheel with an OEM one, it's tacky as hell. Looks like a normal 9 year old car underneath to me, actually my 14 year old Lexus is like this underneath, but they don't salt the roads here either and the nearest beach is a good 40 minute drive away.
You have a maxton rollerskate?
I love your show bro, best mechanic I've seen on KZhead you give the best description I've heard in a long fricken time wow and that how I clean my carb out as well. I'm giggling as fly down the highway because I know what I'm doing " cleaning lol. So thanks for your show and knowledge has help me in ways you can't imagine Have a great holiday bro later.....
Been watching your videos for years from Sweden, thanks for sharing your amazing skills
Watching your channel from the Netherlands. My native language is Dutch, but we Dutchies usually also speak English and some of us (like me living very close to the German border) also speak some German and basic French. Nice content as always! I’ve been following you, hoovies garage, car wizard, samcrac and a few others for a few years now and you are always delivering top content👌🏼
Also watching from the Netherlands and following the same you tube channels as you do. Native language is Frisian here.
GEKOLONISEERD. Fryslan boppe.
Man I love the mid week uploads. Every Saturday I do some work on the cars then I hop on my computer and devote an hour or more depending on how long the video is to watch every second! This is definantly the best part of the week lol. Keep up the great work Alex!
Love this channel keep up the good work! Loving the Cl65 in the background can't wait to see more of her!
I've been following the channel regularly, the videos that I find most appealing, and in response to the question of origin, I'm from Portugal. I like the approach it has given to mechanical issues, and it is a channel that interests me a lot. keep it up. Veramente buono.
There's aren't alot of things cooler than a mid week LSC upload.
*There
I just imagine how Alex's little Italian mom talked with the guys there with Italian accent and moving hands while doing it. Gold ! PS. I am actually from Romania and I understood every bit you said in Italian without taking any language classes , but mainly watching 'La Piovra' series 20 years back.
keep the wheels black it looks really good with the car being white! also its crazy to see how clean a used car can be, Im in quebec where we use way too much salt on our roads so hardcore rust belt and only see new cars off the lot clean like this
Good find. Can’t wait to see the blower install. I would go back with the stock wheel color myself.
This guy is living the dream and I’m loving watching it keep it up
Dude, so close to a million subs - no one in the car vids world can engage so well with me - absolutely love your content and don’t think there’s any one who deserves million subs plus more than you
William, in Japan. Love your show!!!! Also old Mercedes Benz fan. Grand National etc. Keep doing what you do Bro!
Love that you support your subscribers.
Hi Alex I fitted my C63 with Giro Disc 2 piece rotors and they were great, the weight difference could be felt on the initial drive after fitting them with the initial turn in and handling in general, obviously after a short period you get used to it as it becomes the new “norm”
I’ve ordered so many of these kits and Alex is spot on. This is the best ceramic coating I’ve ever seen. I paid an expert to do my mustang in the beginning and I didn’t wanna pay that much money again, it was crazy, expensive so I followed Alex’s video. I did it the same exact way step by step, and I ended up doing our other two cars and the sad part is they look way better than the professional did. The quality of the ceramic is crazy good so I recommended as well.
I love it! All my cars get done
Appreciate the shout out Michael!
Oh man! Extremely excited for this series. As soon as you said “boost” I got excited. I’m about to purchase a 2010 S63 (m156) and I want to boost it but there’s not much info on how to do it properly and safely.
Watching your really cool videos from France, i don’t use subtitles and still learn English through that type of contents, such an amazing C63❤
so glad you’re back in a 156 C63. i first started watching the channel because of those older C63 videos you made. really excited to watch the blower build. you’re the man, Alex!
Max, the bolt removal edits were awesome as usual, but the popping off of the coil packs was next level! Very nice. Great video as always guys!!
Max? Did I miss something? Or did you mean Alex? I probably missed something. LOL. Hey I just Subbed on your channel! Great stuff!

I’m from Belgium , watching your videos for a couple years. Great content, keep it up!
Your videos are awesome! Thanks for sharing ! Cheers from Brazil
That sand poured out at 12:53. What a great car, but I’d avoid it like the plague unless I knew you bulletproofed it. Love your work Alex.
Might have a sand separation like a big chopper 😝 I seen that
As a 2012 P31 coupe owner, congrats. I can't wait to see what you do with it.
Learning a lot from your videos Aaron watching from Zambia 🇿🇲
Thoroughly enjoyed this Video, love from South Africa 🇿🇦
You should add a killer chiller to this unit! It ties the air to water intercooler into the AC system to chill the water. Reduces intake temps which obviously means more horsepower. I had one on my vk56de that was supercharged.
I always suggest these to youtubers. I hardly ever see people using these or other chillers that use AC, but i think they work awesome. You can even use a 12volt ac compressor to make it easier to install.
@@Shiftheads Killer chillers aren't cheap. They aren't easy to install either.
@@630Cars there are cheaper alternatives. I think any big car youtuber would have no issue installing one. I really think most don't think about them or know they exist
@@Shiftheads Do the power gains offset the extra load on the AC?
@@caddyguy5369 for sure. You can take intake Temps from 100 down to 40-50 degrees. So especially if you use a 12 volt compressor but even with belt driven ac it still makes more power than you lose
🏁🏁🏁Oh Alex what did we do to deserve a midweek new AMG upload …congratulations on the 507 brother 😎🤙🏾
Non avevo idea che tu fossi italiano! Benz lover from Italy over here, my 2007 CL 550 (M273.961 out of the range of cars with the chain problem) is giving me an headache, I already changed a couple of parts but my check engine light is still coming up, I suspect a problem with the ECU but I'll have to wait for the ferragosto holiday break to finish to have someone checking it. Keep on with the good job dude.
I love moments when you find something awesome and go “hhaaaaaa”! Sick Chanel Alex, keep it coming.
i speak german and i am from austria, have been watching your videos for years now, u were one of the people on youtube who got me into cars. thanks for everything alex!
I love listening to these videos while writing. Thanks for a true car guy channel and the passion everyone at LSC brings.
You are so knowledgeable bro your videos are the best honestly ty👍🏻
This is 1 of my absolute favorite cars. Love this video.❤
Gotta love new LSC content!
Thanks Jim!!
“Fill the Van with Cans” is definitely an Alex idea! You give, you get…it is the mark of a humble man in honor of his good fortune. Thank you to Nona for blessing the purchase of this C63 even though the fuel mileage would frighten her…❤️
I gotta tell you, that I normally don't like black wheels and any car but, this car looks really good with them. I like the white on black contrast. You may have to stay with the black wheels. Nice job on getting that engine back to normal operation. Well done!
Love it that mom still has your back & that you could call her on vacation❤❤❤❤🎉🎉🎉🎉😂😂😂😂. It doesn't matter how good the rest of the video is I am buzzing🎉❤🎉❤😂😂😂❤🎉❤🎉
Love learning about cars from your videos and all the humor. A midweek upload is always a nice surprise.
I actually understood most of your conversation with your cousin, I lived in Italy 🇮🇹 for two years stationed at Aviano AFB , I bought a sweet little Fiat 600 , banged around in that for the duration.
Love this! Will help tremendously with maintenance on my P31 C63 coupe! Question though: When your accelerating do you ever hear a ticking noise? 1 around 3k rpm and another around 5 1/2. I can hear a “tink tink” noise for a split second when I’m hard on the gas every single time. It’s done it since I got it 6 months ago, and I did all the tips/tricks you showed here plus oil additive for lifters. I have a feeling it’s just a common thing but idk?
I just got your video recommended and so far I’m enjoying the content. Oh and by the way, my native language is Lithuanian 🇱🇹 but I can understand English perfectly, no need for subtitles ❤
I have that exact same car spec, 2015 white 507 edition just all black interior. My wheels are the original silver and absolute love it over the black ones. Love this car, absolute beast. I did rebuild my cam adjusters at 35k miles since the rattle at startup was very bad but the rest of the car so far is bullet proof. Good luck with this one!
You know instantly that this guy's a good person when you genuinely want to sit through the sponsorship ad and turn off ad block to watch the video edit: mentioned you in one of the replies about those lights on the steering wheel, I believe that they could be shift indicators for the paddles
I'm with you on the undercar. I live in Iowa, so those clean cars amaze me.
Absolutely loved this video Alex what an immac C63.. Big fan of all your content and can't wait to see the blower install and the power she ends up making.. Watching from Sydney Australia.. 🇦🇺
Everytime you buy a car you have the same excitement as of a five year old motor enthusiast kid. Honestly, I'm literally excited as same as you. Most of the cars you own either its not available in my country or it'll be expensive to own one. But yeah I was hella waiting for this since you mentioned in the previous video. Lots of of love from India.
Been watching from ICELAND 🇮🇸since your early days, keep up the legit work 🤘
Great find! Loving it
It was not the "Vulcan death grip." It was the Vulcan neck pinch and the Spok neck pinch. It put people to sleep it didn't kill them.
What I love about your videos, brother, the content, of course, but the consistency and the length of the video. Plus, you make me laugh 😂 I love the blooper outtakes
I’ve followed you religiously as well as jumped in many projects because of you AND Peter. If he’s not coming back, we need to know and why. As cool as you are alone, the relationship online between the two of you actually made me want more. You’re a cool guy alone but, I pass your channel by because it’s not the same. As subscribers, especially the ones who purchase your merchandise, deserve better.
Awesome car Alex!! I love the content, can’t wait to see what’s next. Where’s Peter? You two are hilarious together!
Alex looks like a well deserved Amg! Can't wait to see it fully Done! Thanks for sharing this! 😊
Awesome video as always Alex! Love the M156 content cant wait to watch more. I was hoping to see another boroscope examination of the piston top after the cleaning to see if it did remove the carbon visually. But anyway, hopefully will get to see after the Italian tune up!
الله عليك يا سحيمي و أليكس رهيب
French living in Spain and MB addict like you. I've been watching you for years Alex !!
Incredible video. I have a 2013 C250 that did similar things in this video (smoke from tail pipe), rattling at start up, possible cam adjusters, no code so the dealer won't fix it under warranty. I have a local MB mechanic but they're not even close to what you're doing. I wish you were down here in South Florida. You could open a Mercedes shop on the side and train mechanics to fix them.
Awesome car Alex and yes, def put the wheels back to silver/polished. Also loving the bloopers at the end, so funny!
This looks really good the way it is with the black rims but its crazy how you fixed it with the LIST now thats legit 👌
Awesome vid and great deal on the 507. Love mine...
Hi there. Love your program. I am Scottish but understand all of what you say. Love, love the programme. Thank you so much
I want to say that your amazing mechanic. KZhead a side your great. I needed brakes on my AMG and watching your video I was able to save myself some money . I took it to Benz for an oils change they checked the brakes as part of the service and said all good. I was a little nervous about doing it myself just needed the mind set that it was good. Thank you and keep up the good work……AMG stuff preferably. But I’ll still watch I guess even if it isn’t AMG related. Lol
I’ve been watching your channel for long, Alex and man you have always delivered the goodies 🙌🏼 You’re one of the most genuine people on YT! Waiting for the cl65 videos. My dream car is this C63 with the same spec looking forward to see what you gon do with it 😁 God Bless you man 🙏🏼 Ps; Love from Budapest, Hungary 🇭🇺
In the NW of the UK an Italian tune up normally means talking it for a heavy drive after a service but the Italian tune up is thrashing the engine to remove some carbon deposits or blockages If you hear after a service It's still not quite right or the emissions are a little out Give it the Italian tune up It means drive you car hard at high revs to clean things out and rid it's self of granny mode from driving too gentle all the time
I'm a new subscriber and I'm hooked. I've been binging on your videos. Great content. ♥️
The LSC car collection is sick. I'm not even a german car guy and Alex always pulls out something I've never heard of and it's always interesting.

Never knew this was a thing but I am doing an Italian Tune-up now and then on the German Autobahn 😊 Love the content Alex, thanks and keep up the great work!
"Italian tune-up", lol. I love it..! Good job piasan. Also, I'm about to use my avalon king on my motorcycle today. LOVE the C63..! love it..!

Alex those wheels in the factory finish look amazing. I vote to go back.
Personally, I love the way my 2011 Lexus ISF sounds. It's totally stock and I constantly get compliments on how it looks and sounds. I can only imagine how much better that sound would be if I were to install some nice performance aftermarket Intake and exhaust system. But I'm happy enough just keeping it stock and driving it everyday. It's a blast
