  • So, let's recap this. Andy is nearly 36 years old, he had two hip surgeries, and he has a metal hip. Four years ago he was told he will never play tennis again. It's 2023 now, and he is still competing. Moreover, two days before this match he played against Berrettini, a top 10 player, and they played for 4.5 hours where he won in 5 sets. That brings us to this match where he played against a very good and talented player that is 9 years younger than him, playing in front of home crowd, and leading 2:0 in sets and 5:2 in games. What Andy did is one of the most impressive feats that I saw in sport as a whole. Granite solid display of one of the greatest tennis players ever. Being a Đoković fan, I cannot but wonder whether Đoković would have his 21 slams today if Andy was healthy all these years. I'm sure he wouldn't.

    • I don't believe novak would have 21 imo being a novak fan myself! The level andy displayed to get to world number 1 was imo what novak was displaying a year before and it would of possibly gone down as the greatest rivalry of a few years to ever be witnessed.

Of course Kokkinakis seemed to underestimate Murray's hustle at those crucial points and wasn't there physically as he should have been, but it's take so much willpower, determination and strength to use those opportunity and turn that it around in moments where you seem to believe you're unable to. • I was at work and saw him 2 sets and 5-2 down then checked my phone at the end of shift and he was serving for the match! Unbelievable from Murray, he may not be the same but his mental state is, compete for every ball and don’t give up!

    • @@patrickkelly9110 Well, mathematics have proven Nadal wouldn't be able to do great in AO, i said he's not in good shape at all those last months and we saw it. There's a difference between hope and what will probably happen, there's no way he reached Semi except if there's withdraw from an opponent etc.
