    • I'll save you the trouble more than likely you're not going to knock somebody out with this punch unless you know where to hit. there's an off switch if you know where the nerve is going down each side of your neck. most one hit Knockouts that you see they actually miss the face and hit the neck and twinge this nerve which knocks the person out.

    • I see this all the time. As a boxer myself with countless of hours training in the boxing gym, I don’t think you realize how fast a punch is. The amount of punches where I’ve blinked and gotten a glove in my face - not even exaggerating - are countless. And that was with gloves that weigh 16 ounces for sparring, so they’re slower and doesn’t hit as hard The punch the man threw in the video would knock you out if it landed on the knuckle, and you would be able to do nothing, because it’s unexpected and so fast that you won’t be able to react if you don’t have any fighting experience. Seriously, try signing up for a free lesson at any boxing gym that isn’t a shit gym and actually has sparring. You’ll quickly realize how much a punch actually hurts

    @dan6822@dan68224 ай бұрын
    • That's a dumb statement. A boxer wont expect a leg kick? Why not? I boxed all through my 20s. Every time I've gotten into a street fight I've been open to the possibility of any form of attack. Fist, foot, elbow, chair, whatever.... You'd be equally as dumb to assume your opponent won't be expecting the move you're about to make. If you assume that, your ego will always exceed your skill. I've seen it before where someone who can strike and kick assumes a boxer is despatched easily at range with thigh kicks, and is taken off guard by the boxer closing the range very quickly unexpectedly. Anyway, 90% of people you get into a fight with won't have any particular training but I'd never assume that. If you're in a fight and it's on, don't assume anything, but expect it.

      @garethjohnstone9282@garethjohnstone92824 ай бұрын
    • @@garethjohnstone9282 "That's a dumb statement. A boxer wont expect a leg kick? Why not?" Because they're a boxer, as in they only punch and expect punches back. Common sense. You think a boxer would be ready for a takedown, leg kick, head kick etc? You're delusional.

      @mrdoogle5931@mrdoogle59314 ай бұрын
    • @@mrdoogle5931So, you get into a fight with someone who is primarily trained in boxing. You're not expecting anything aside from punches. So, you've already decided the way the fight is going to go (in your mind) so you're unprepared for the boxer to fight outside the parameters you've set, mentally. So, the boxer surprises you because he's also learned to grapple and kick. But you're going to say "yes, but I'm more proficient in those because I've trained more in those areas". You'll probably also deny the boxer is a better striker, too. So, despite possibly having being caught off guard because the boxer didn't just punch, or he managed to block or avoid your leg and close the gap because you were fully expecting the boxer to have gone down with one kick, but he didn't and he's now fully inside your guard, there's still just no way a boxer can ever win against mma. I think it's dangerous, dumb and disrespectful to think you know exactly what a fighter can do and exactly how it's going to go. To me, it tells me someone's never fought because they've clearly never learned humility through an ass kicking. And if you say you're a fighter who's never had his ass kicked, then I know you're a keyboard warrior.

    • @@metooo-zo6ddHe's only throwing one punch, so it's really not that big of deal. But it's not about what "generation" a person is from. Boxers/fighters from any generation don't go rounds on the bag bare fisted. Even a seasoned professional, with years of experience, can easily break his hand on a bag. There are guys who have broken their hands on a bag even with their hands wrapped and wearing gloves. Its not nearly as common, but it definitely happens from time to time. No matter how hard your knuckles are, or strong and well conditioned your fist is, the bone structure of your hand is actually quite delicate. Even tho this guy demonstrated the punch with bare fist, I can guarantee you that he wraps his hands and wears gloves when he is working the bag.

  • For an Orthodox fighter : when throwing a double jab: sometimes ur second jab you kinda wanna pounce/ slight leap forward, expecting ur opponent to retreat just enough but this time just try a jab keep it out there for 1/4 of a second for distance measurement/ deterrent: twist ur hips and ur left hand and be ready for an 🕚 to 🕔 direction elbow #1. It avoids the 12:00 to 6:00 illegal elbow #trust me they are not expecting a jab elbow after you’ve been setting up the double jab but not really lunging in a bit… but this time you do and the first jab isn’t really meant to hurt him it’s more of a distraction. # The ones that hurt you most is the ones you don’t see coming & now you have the equivalent of an baseball bat striking ur opponent even if they managed to block it damage will be done. Be careful and ur this move at ur own discretion# now ur weak arm is potentially more dangerous then ur power right hand 🙏 🙇🏻 💛
