It’s beautiful how many people are appreciating this song, even to this day! I listened to it to ring in the 2024 new year, in tribute to my father, who died suddenly at the same time of year 2 years ago. He was in a band and they covered this song. I still remember best him singing this song on stage when I was a very small child. It was my favorite, and although Elvis is the King, my dad’s cover will always be my favorite version of this song, just because of how full of love it made me feel. ❤️

This was my parents wedding song. I lost my father when I was pretty young. He loved this song and sang it all the time in the car. I was so embarrassed as a kid. Many many years later I’m learning to play the guitar and have to learn the song. I may never fall in love again but it would be awesome to play and sing it for my mom before she’s gone too. My Dad grew up in the 40 and 50' s and hated rock'n roll until one day in 1960 Elvis came on the radio with this song and he said " now that's singing. That xmas he bought us the " Elvis is Back" album and rock'nroll was King in the house.

That was the first dance I danced to when I first met my husband in 1962. It was playing on a jukebox and he asked me to dance. I lost him two years ago after 57 happy wonderful years and three wonderful children and seven awesome grandchildren! The last year before my husband was dying of cancer we visited Graceland and he realized how much I loved Elvis’s songs. Just keep going day by day and remember all the good memories and love of your husband.
