After loading and backing out of their driveway, one of passengers told that when I stopped to put it in drive, my rear bumper was in CA.

  • For anyone who doesn't understand: This is specialized hauling for Southern Pride Trucking. Probably jet engines. Light loads and long turn around times. This is how they can get away with the weight of such a big sleeper. They will want a big sleeper and their Harley with them while they wait 4 days somewhere for the freight to be ready to haul. Also they probably make $300k+ per year so they can afford a truck like this.

Try being happy for people rather than Jealous. Good on the owners I say. Clearly living the dream. Rather than negative comments try achieving your dream and be happy for those that are. You may learn something by being positive and appreciating what can be achieved. Get off your arse and go and live your dream. Big up to Jerome and Barb!

    • Actually it's not as hard to make turns with that truck than it is with a 265 wheel base. Believe it or not it's true. I worked in the oil field and my buddy had a 310 wheel base kw long hood and he could cut corners like you never saw. One day I asked him I am I doing wrong I'm hell I'm right behind you and you take every corner like it's not there he goes dude it's the wheel base I'm explain he goes it's not as hard to turn when the truck and trailer turn in the middle

  • It's sad that so many people comment thinking they are so knowledgeable about large trucks that they feel they should try to bring the guy down. In reality the only thing shown is ignorance and in several cases stupidity. If you are a truck driver, not glorified steering wheel holder with a CDL ... you know each truck has a purpose. These trucks serve a very specific purpose for very specific customers with very specific demands. The people required to operate under these conditions know what they are doing and get this ... they are very detail oriented and intelligent and cream of the crop or they wouldn't have their career very long. To the gentleman that own the truck ... congratulations! I for one understand the sacrifices that job requires.

    • You still don’t get it stupid, fellow professional drivers regardless of what they drive hold a wheel. The vast majority of truckers understand this guy and his chosen life style. You are referring to the people on here that hold no CDL and don’t understand. Try to think first!

    • Unfortunately, your intelligence level, or lack there of, shows you have a comprehension block. That initial statement addresses both those who are truck drivers as well as those that are not. Your choice of words are a definite reflection of that. So, steering wheel holder, make all ill will you think you need to. Your character is shining through!!!

I think Carrara marble and a crystal chandelier would be out of place, and maybe he and his wife don't feel like putting up a disco ball, stripper pole, and stage lights with a DJ booth.
