    • @EDHOLLA I always took it as a riff on Chael's own brand of humor. He says things like "I thought if I tapped, I only lost that round" in reference to the Silva fight. His "badguy" persona never admits defeat, even when his earnest self is humble after a loss. Kind of the same way he always talks about how huge his arms are when he is not particularly jacked. Personally I think he's hilarious and he does the heel schtick better than anyone. I feel like he's probably a cool guy in real life.

  • What about Gustafsson vs Jones?

    @laytonthornley170@laytonthornley1703 жыл бұрын
    • @Matthew Anthony - it turned Gus into a superstar. He wasn't very popular/well known before that bout, but he showed immense heart especially in the 4th & 5th rounds, in a fight that a huge chunk of the MMA commnity scored for Gus (Gus 1,2,3). After a few rewatches, lots of fans started to admit that it was reasonable to give Jones rounds 3,4,5, or to score it a draw, which meant Jones would have kept the belt... But for a few days, he was basically considered the uncrowned king of the LHW div. (then the same thing happened with Reyes) But yeah, that fight was a technical loss for Gus, but it got him plenty of good faith with the MMA world.
