• For those of you who don't ski/snowboard, the snowboarder got stuck in a "Tree Well". Basically it's a tree buried in snow with the surrounding hard packed while the parts near the tree trunk still relatively soft. With the way the snowboarder got stuck in there, it's impossible for him to rescue himself. He has about 15 minutes to live from when he got stuck due to lack of air. He will 100% die from suffocation if he was not seen by this hero skier. The way the skier recused him is also 100% correct. He dug out the face first to ensure the snowboarder can breath first. He then start digging the rest of the body with a shovel for efficiency.

  • Tip of the day folks: NEVER go skiing/snowboarding in areas by yourself. getting stuck/falling/losing conciousness in the snow and being unable to be rescued should not be on your agenda for the day you went out to have fun. Always do it with someone or multiple people if not, stick to areas that are populated/have more traffic so that if u fall someone can see you fall/notice you have fallen while passing by. Don't forfeit your life, that guy is lucky he got found. less than half an hour later he'd have 100% suffocated to death under the snow. The guy was calm so probably wasnt panicked and breathing fast for a bit but people go into panic mode very quickly and your breathing accelerates which will essentially deplete any remaining oxygen even faster.

    • No, just.... no. Talented, yes, no doubt, most skilled in the world.... not even close... Watch her in real time as opposed to time-lapsed and you'll see how *NOT* "simultaneous" it actually is. 1) She only has 4 limbs, so at *BEST* it could be "4 at a time" 2) "Filling in" a section with *NO DETAIL* doesn't count as "drawing" in my book as I can do that as well while I do detailed work with *ONE* other limb. For example: 3) As a metal drummer who is *_decently_* coordinated with all my limbs, I can do intricate patterns with my arms while doing a well known *SIMPLE* pattern with my feet that I don't need to think about, or vice versa, an intricate double bass beat/hi-hat work while doing simple patterns with my arms. So... I'm not impressed, and can't imagine that many drummers would be since utilizing all fours limbs at the same time is what we do *All day **_EVERY DAY._* Now you find a drummer that can do *Intricate and **_CHANGING_* patterns individually with all four limbs at the same time....as opposed to standard memorized patterns.... and that's crazy talented and coordinated.

    • @@James-iu2km You do realize that there can be levels to it right? I don't think skill is the right word, but it is none the less incredibly impressive and up in there category of things only a small select few would ever be able to do. Also what you're describing is muscle memory, and I find it incredibly weird that you're trying to compare your experience in a completely separate field to what she is doing. Do you even have any idea how difficult it is for a non-trained person to do a decent looking shape when focusing on that alone, let alone with their feet or multiple at once? There's serious hand coordination and muscle control in drawing. It is incredibly naive to dumb down an entire profession to "just memorizing patterns". Everyone would be drawing instead of hiring other people to if that was all it came down to. Get off the horse.

We have those "cook an egg by using the sun" contests every year. And "But it's 'Dry Heat' so it doesn't count!" is BS when Florida gets up to 93F and Arizona is at 112F. That's nearly a 20 degree difference!!! And Florida is lush and surrounded by water and it rains during the summer. Arizona is desert and gets the occasional Monsoon/Flash Floods. Still, it looked like the snowboarder was stuck there for a couple minutes already with 0 air to breath, he was completely immobilised and unable to use his radio communication, buried so deep all he could see was darkness and all he could hear was his own breathing. And his teammates were (from what he's said) ahead of him (nowhere to be seen in the 5 minutes video), so he was behind as last one descending. Likely would have taken too long for any of his teammates to find him and climb back up. Correct me if something's wrong

Proverbs 27:1 ESV "Do not boast about tomorrow, for you do not know what a day may bring." James 4:14 New American Standard Bible 14 "Yet you do not know what your life will be like tomorrow. For you are just a vapor that appears for a little while, and then vanishes away." Luke 12:16-21, New American Standard Bible 16 And He told them a parable, saying, “The land of a rich man was very productive. 17 And he began thinking to himself, saying, ‘What shall I do, since I have no place to store my crops?’ 18 And he said, ‘This is what I will do: I will tear down my barns and build larger ones, and I will store all my grain and my goods there. 19 And I will say to myself, “You have many goods stored up for many years to come; relax, eat, drink, and enjoy yourself!”’ 20 But God said to him, ‘You fool! This very night your soul is demanded of you; and as for all that you have prepared, who will own it now?’ 21 Such is the one who stores up treasure for himself, and is not rich in relation to God.”

    • I'm so tired of 'prank' youtubers and tiktokers. A prank is something that both people can laugh about after it happens - pulling fake knives on people, getting in their faces, breaking their stuff even if you intend to pay for/replace it, none of those things are pranks and those are things that they easily can (AND SHOULD) get their butts kicked for. I mean some of these pranks aren't even REMOTELY pranks, they're genuinely harmful, like the guy who got shot recently by a girl's father because he groped her - he claimed it was just for a prank. Dude, groping someone is groping someone, that's never a prank. Even if you say you didn't mean it, YOU STILL GROPED HER. Or yelling racist slurs at people or stuff like that - it doesn't matter if you didn't mean it, you're still saying it, so don't be surprised when someone punches you in the mouth for it!

  • 2:00 I found one of those before! I researched it; it's called a 'click beetle,' and when their body 'flicks' like that they make an audible snapping or 'clicking' sound. I suspect it's from a part of their hard carapace (if that's the correct word, basically their 'hard body') tapping against the ground or whatever it might be on. I kept one for a little while, maybe just a few hours one day or it might have been a couple days, not long though, I think it was perhaps spring or summer 2020. If not that then maybe 2021. I actually don't live in that place anymore but I had found it in my kitchen. After doing the bit of research and experimenting with how it 'pops in the air' after making that click noise, I called it Clint. "Clint the Click-Beetle." Had a nice ring to it. Ultimately I took it outside and left it on a concrete surface near some greenery. For some reason just minutes or so later, or an hour or two, I was inclined to go outside to see if I could find it. It didn't seem to move particularly fast, something of a slow beetle. I couldn't see it anywhere, and laughingly I imagine the poor thing getting scooped-up by a bird basically as soon as my back was turned after putting it down initially. Anyhow, yeah, thanks for the memory, I hope Clint had a good life and went on to have little Click-Beetle babies. ... Little do I know, the little bastard started a literal infestation in someone's home or something lol Kidding, it's a funny thought though.
