Thank you all very much for watching! I've been wanting to make a how to solve a rubiks cube video for a long time and I'm very happy to finally have it published! The beginner's method on a 3x3 can be a challenge to learn, but hopefully this video helps you to solve your first cube!

  • To anyone struggling with the final step, here are the two most important things to remember: 1. Finish the R' D' R D algorithm completely before aligning the next corner piece. Don't forget to do the last D move. 2. Don't rotate the entire cube to align the next corner piece, only turn the top layer. The same center color should be facing you the entire last step. Good luck!

  • I tried the rubiks cube for 5min in 1979 @ school. I gave up, gave it back to the nerd with super large spectacles & relished the music of the 1980's. It's now 2022 & It's been on my bucket list ever since. Who's the daddy now eh. Cheers sir, your a diamond... a rough diamond. So impressed with myself from sunny London.

  • Re-wrote your instructions to something I can read quickly, and nailed it!! You gave great instructions thanks 😊 also sort of made a new algorithm, where if you are doing the centre pieces, if you turn left to get away from the two colors on the piece, then I swapped the algorithm to the opposite of the one given, so depending on which way you turn, then you have a way, works every time 😊

  • picked up my cube after 3 years of not touching it and managed to relearn it all myself until the last yellow corners. i had to resolve my cube a million times before i gave up and went to yt, but even then it took me 30 minutes of confusing explanations to find this video, which explained things so well??? you're a diamond in the rough, my dude.

  • It’s easier to think of 1 four move sequence for the middle layer. If the top needs to go left, turn the top *right*, then use the *left* version of the sequence, turn to the *left* side, and do the *right* version of the 4 move sequence. Right Left Left Right

  • This is a good tutorial don't get me wrong, but I feel like no tutorial ever talks about what to do if you've been twisting corners or taking pieces in and out. I feel like a lot of people trying to learn the cube might have done them and be frustrated why this isn't working.

  • One question first: is this the best method for getting into speedcubing and learning CFOP or does it even matter? ALSO i was using two cubes at once to help learn and I successfully solved one of them but lost the other on the last step (I think I got mixed up on the direction of the bottom layer) I had to repeat a few steps but I really liked this tutorial, it’s clear, the animation is good and helpful and I appreciate you including the algorithms. I noticed many don’t and I think it makes it confusing and learning ALG seems easier. I appreciate your passion for this and for taking the time to make the tutorial!

  • Man I really respect the ammount of effort you put into this tutorial. I can imagine how much time it took to create and than animate this thing. XD ALso its just so fun to rewatch this method. (Even tho I personally learned a semi beginner when I started) but still at the insert of F2L when you tell to other to "imagine that piece you want to solve is in front of you" ... than move it away. Like ... it basicaly doesnt matter which piece you put into, so at this part this ("move it away") can be totally skipped. And the fun thing about is that ppl doesnt see this until they understand what theyre actually doing. Anyways, keep up the good work. GG

  • all of the other tutorials were so confusing for me, but the animation in this one made understanding it very easy! thank you so much for this tutorial! this is the first time i've ever solved a rubik's cube! edit: i keep messing up somehow on the last corners, I do the r'd'rd but when i finish with the d, it gets rid of a white sticker that was there already. if i skip the d, it totally messes it up. I always position the corner i need to solve in the top right.

    • You can’t rotate the cube. You can only move one layer. If you rotate the entire cube and do the algorithm, it will mess the entire thing up.

  • I finally actually for once solved a rubix cube like I can't believe myself. I'm not even joking I spent like years trying to find a good and clear tutorial and this is the absolute best one and for the maker of this video you deserve 1,000,000s of subscribers and plus I just subbed and liked the video. This is more than clear and easy then ever. Thank you so much. Keep up the good work cubeorithms. Your the best Also for those who still after everything can't work it out keep watching the video a few times like I did and took me a few days, try scrambling the cube a bit more and do the same thing and the best of look. You can't do things near perfect if you don't give up or stop trying/practicing. I hope everyone can manage to solve it one day and one key thing Never give up. (never ever!!!!)
