The Best Wireless Gaming Mouse UNDER 40$? - Dareu EM901 Review

Today We talk about a Mouse So Nice, I got it twice! Unfortunately, my personal wired gaming mouse has failed me. The scroll click is essentially always on which makes navigating a real pain. I dont think I can even left-click anymore without it moving the entire webpage because of the auto-scroll. So Dareu reached out with their EM901. At first, I wasn’t super interested because of the website price, but then I checked out Amazon, and saw that it was a lot more affordable. So, I told them to send me one.

  • You should REALLY check out Pwnage. Their mice can be customized and they're working on a optical switch version of their Ultra Custom, which is 1000hz wireless.

  • I have one of the Dareu keyboards, which I'll be reviewing on my website (not setup for making videos yet). The one thing I'll say about it: I had a helluva time getting it. Literally took five orders before one of them came through, and one of the fake attempts was directly through Dareu.

  • The well-reviewed Orochi V2 and G305 are currently on sale for under $40 from multiple vendors, but they both lack built-in rechargeability if that's important to you.

    @inspyral02@inspyral022 жыл бұрын
    • But battery life on G305 is like two or three months. If you have more than one rechargeable battery you could just charge one separately and then swap discharged one in like 10 seconds.

    • Glad you like it. It's still my main mouse. Roccat offered to send me their burst air for review but its 4x the price. the em901 is still my best value mouse so far!

    • @@BootSequence it's pretty solid for the price for sure. Just started upgrading my pc and had to put it in another spot and I kept on tripping over my mouse (I don't have a conventional setup) but I came across this video a while ago and kept it in mind. Keep up the good work! I'll make sure to check out the burst air review if you make one fam. 🤙

  • I will never grasp that now computer programs are called apps now, which I know they technically are buy still. Maybe Im just old school.

    @poeticsilence047@poeticsilence0472 жыл бұрын
    • Actually, if you are getting technical they aren't (always). A computer program and an 'application' are the same thing but an "app' is defined as a lightweight small application with 1 or very few features. Culturally though people who got used to the term through mobile devices took it as the word for programs of all types on mobile. It then became used outside of mobile more because it is shorter and quicker than saying 'application' or 'program'. It is kind of how program and application became the same. Back when the term "Killer Application" came up it was the one part or thing that a program did that made it 'killer' as in cool or awesome. It didn't mean the program itself. Then business started to use the term for it being the program around the time it was shortened to 'Killar App' and they started calling programs applications, especially in corporate jargon. It then spread from there (broadly speaking). Then companies like Microsoft moved to the term "solutions' because it was more than just programs. As for not getting used to it... I am right there man. I actually fight using it as I don't want people to think of general computing platforms as the same as mobile ones that are locked down and you effectively don't own without hacking it (Root/Jailbrake/Custom ROM/DeGoogling). Windows is moving that way and pushing me off the platform as my main OS.

  • I'm not sure if I missed it in the video but was it disclosed for these review samples that the review itself was free from any guidance from Dareu or it was a completely independent review?

    @CannedMarmalade@CannedMarmalade2 жыл бұрын
    • they reached out, provided review sample, I reviewed product that was provided. I don't understand what you mean by " Completely independent review " . A review is a review is a review. The only guidance reviewers should have from a manufacturer is when fact checking. if I'm wrong about a spec or something like that for example.

      @BootSequence@BootSequence2 жыл бұрын
    • @@BootSequence Okay sounds good then, just wanted to make sure there was't any specific editorial direction the Dareu wanted the review to go in exchange for the samples. But if there wasn't its all good then.

  • $37 on a wireless gaming mouse is pretty good with adjustable options. Anything past 2020 should be a type c cable.

    @digiboiwand@digiboiwand2 жыл бұрын
    • The problem is that there are allot of countries that type C adoption is niche because of the number of older and reused devices with Micro USB and availability of C based items are limited and more expensive/have to be imported, so having C without needing a feature of C (higher data rates, Very Hight Speed Charging, reversible port) it is actually not a selling point where in Western Europe and most of North America, just having it and the dropping costs of it is a selling point. Until then lots of manufacturers don't want to limit their customers or markets so go with the lowest common denominator. If the EU and Korea go through with making type C an enforced standard on several types of devices with standards for the types of Type C Cables that can be sold that may change.

      @WolvenSpectre@WolvenSpectre2 жыл бұрын
  • You think mouse micro usb is bad i really want to know why phone makers made usb type c in 2.0 speeds you go forward with a standard not freaking backwards, SIGH!

  • For mice I prefer this novel technology where you never have to charge the battery. I'm not sure, but I think this works by having some sort of power delivery through a high-tech material where electrons can freely move between atoms in some sort of conduction band above the Fermi energy. Experts also call this technology a "USB cable".

    @ProjectPhysX@ProjectPhysX2 жыл бұрын
    • That's included in this one. There's also this even more high-tech thing called a battery, so you can move the mouse more freely and use it in farther-away locations.
