Greatest fighter in the history of our sport. Most majors, two career slams...one of them being the golden slam.
Every single person who played that tournament has no balls (literally & figuratively) because they stuck a needle in their arm that has literally ZERO to do with health & wellness. When you do everything your government tells you to do you end up a slave. Resist. Say no. Hold the mother f’n line. 🇺🇸

@@jm7804 no offense but if you try to nit pick every little stat then of course you can make it look like every player has failed. Djokovic won 3 out of 4 majors last year, and made the final in the 4th. That’s an INCREDIBLE accomplishment and in all likelihood he would have won this tournament too. His recent losses here were in 2017 and early 2018, the year and a half span of his career where he experienced the worst form of his career and needed surgery.
0-40 in the 3rd set, 2 sets down. Nadal himself was the last person on earth who didn’t give up. That’s why he has 22* slams, and no other guy has.

This man is the definition of a fighter, his greatest achievement on the hard court surface. My GOAT
With all due respect, Medvedev choked. He gave Nadal about 100 free points....and let’s be honest, if Djokovic was allowed to play Nadal ain’t coming close. The dude hasn’t even won a set off Djokovic on hard court in NINE YEARS. Let that sink in. He’s not the goat, anyone who’s unbiased knows who the goat is. Djokovic has 3 majors he probably would have won had it non been for biased decisions against him. US open 2020, Wimbledon 2020 (just unlucky it didn’t happen) and of course Aus Open 2021. It’s fair to say that Novak would almost certainly win one or two of those events. “Just get vaccinated.” Lol, because the vaccine did so much for all those players sick with covid a week prior who were allowed to play 😂😂 Anyways, it was impressive from Rafa but there will ALWAYS be an asterisk beside this, and deep down he knows he wouldn’t have beat Novak here. It’s a shame Medvedev played TERRIBLY compared to his dominant form last September, because that was embarrassing on his part. I thought he was going to be great, but he’s also weak.
@@mikemoggerson6651 hahaha salty Djokovic fan you are. Nadal played beyond his mind in the last 3 sets. Had he played like this in 2019 Novak wouldn’t have had that 2019 trophy. Injuries are the reason Nadal has 21 slams or else everyone knows he would be having 4-5 more slams. 6 months before he was walking on one Leg and he is here winning his 21st slam. Go tell Novak to take his vaccine first and come. GOAT is Rafa for me

The most improbable and impressive comeback I have ever seen. Nadal would have won the first 2 sets if it was clay. The fact he did a 180 turn and switched it up and produced the best ball striking he's ever produced down 2-0 at the age of 35 is spectacular. Medvedev was phenomenal, the fact Nadal looked less tired in the 5th set than he did in the 2nd set is something I will never comprehend. What a champion 🏆
yes I understand your point, but danil is very bad on clay that it is almost obvious
rafa looked like he could have played 2 more sets after the 5th!

Incredible comeback by Rafa. Never gave up and just pulled out every shot he had to claw back and win. The 🐐. Daniil is probably wondering what just happened lol but he will be back and I'm sure will win more of these. He is an awesome player.
@@yasirshaikh1443 no he’s not. You don’t even mention how badly he choked. Nadal would’ve been done in the 3rd set if Medvedev did what any decent player would’ve done, which is take advantage of a 0-40 lead. Choker...Nadal is one lucky boy.

The miracle for Nadal is that Djokovic did not compete because a stupid aussie government that persecutes its own people. Medvedev did not play the important point as he should have. He made mistakes all along that many other players would have never made at this level and then he played it safe. Djokovic would have never played safe and would have wiped out Nadal in 3 straight sets. Nadal is the AO winner by default. Nothing else to see here or understand.
What a champion in every sense of the word

@@christiankamal7549 Calling into question the achievements of players is often not a good thing because it can work both ways. As an example, think back to Wimbledon 2019, when Djokovic defeated Federer 7-6 1-6 7-6 4-6 13-12. You may recall that RF blew match points in that one, serving at 8-7 40-15, with unforced errors playing a part in ND's break of serve in that game. Did you say Djokovic was lucky to win that match? Did you say, "Nothing else to see here or understand"?
I’ve literally watched this 1000 times. Never gets old, hahha I still get disappointed when Rafa loses a point, even though I know he wins 😂. Best match I have ever watched
Rafa & Roger = Legends They play on another level.
Never give up! That’s how this man won.
Wow Rafa..one of the greatest gland slam wins of all time! Tremendous fighting spirit...richly deserved!
Dedicated fans like you are the reason why I’ve archived so much greatness,I’m not complete without you as my fan; you’re highly appreciated Where are you watching from?💝
Idk it's such a fairytale win , I come every 2-3 days to pump myself whenever feeling low
It’s 2023 and I’m still watching this masterpiece
I´m a Nole fan, however, want to recognize what Nadal has done today on court. We sometimes don´t appreciate enough what these beasts, Rafa, Roger and Novak, still do on court at their ages and well-experienced careers. They are players who as soon as later will finish their careers and a big legacy behind them, reason why it would be nice to enjoy and take advantage their tennis because sure we will miss them a lot when they retire. Congrats Rafa for your great achievement and for Medvedev too because his tournament has been exceptional.
It's crazy how good they are and really doesn't bode well for the sport that there are no up and coming players that can get near them. We're in for a boring era once all three are retired.
I wouldn’t say that. The bar is extremely high, but there is dedication and skill in the up and comers, maybe not this level, but enough for me too appreciate. There will be new champions, but you’re right there isn’t going to be another big 3
@@somethingbeyondwords9553 Nah these new players are not even close to Fed, Rafa and Nole
I agree. I just meant that I’m still going to enjoy watching them even after the Big 3 retire, even if the matches aren’t as good. That’s the thing for me with high bars, is that just below is still pretty damn good
No thanks, Nole has no class
Uma das melhores partidas de tênis que já assisti! Nadal, voltando a ser um dos maiores tenistas da história. Perseverante, um verdadeiro gladiador! Parabéns ao grande vencedor.

Look at how happy the ball boy as at the end after match point! Shows how much rafa is loved!
I am a big rafa fan and the way he came bk and won that match is bloody incredible..21 grand slams now..it will be interesting to see wat happens in the coming months especially as the French open is in May,would b great if rafa could win that and make it 22.Also depends on novak and how he responds as u can't count novak out..I'm not 2 sure bout Roger as u can't count him out either but I've heard he maybe returning after Wimbledon which will make him nearly 41yrs old so I duno his chances of winning another grand slam could be unrealistic but who knows.

It doesn't even matter if you support Fed, Nole or any other player. You just have to bow to Nadal and his resilience. Today tennis and all of us spectators won. Thank you!

Nadal is not Champions. The champions is Novak. Novak the number 1. It is fake
@@newday4512 I'm a die hard Djokovic fan and I knew for sure he could have taken the trophy but it wasn't the case, I' m not into polytics so I ain't discusing this, let's cheer up for Nadal and his great comeback, stop being bitter.
@@mysticpond23 Novak is number 1. He is the king of the Australian open. He didn't play this Australian Open, out of fear or being injured. Novak was dismissed for his ideas of freedom. They did not allow the number 1 and best of all time to defend the best tournament of his. Therefore this Australian Open is invalid. The only reason Nadal lifted that trophy was because Novak wasn't there. Otherwise Nadal would never have done it. Because Nole had him dominated and had him as a son. Nadal was lost because Novak wouldn't let him win anything. Now that Nole is not allowed to prove that he is the best of all time, Nadal's opportunist will take the opportunity to win the awards that belong to Djokovic. This Australian Open is the most hypocritical of all. The most reasonable thing would have been for all
Truly one of the most entertaining matches in sports history. This is why we love sport, it’s unpredictable. The favorite doesn’t always win, but rather the guy who comes to play on that day
Rafa’s tenacity on court will never be matched. What a guy, congrats on the win 🏆

What a valiant effort by Rafa Nadal!!! What a terrific and one of the greatest comebacks of all time!! The tenacity and grit he showed is outstanding!! As I predicted Medvedev might be the favorite because of his ranking and his current form but as I said it won't be an easy task for him either to beat Rafa and the crowd together and that is what happened. One of the best finals of all time
36 hours later... And i still cannot believe it, simply Rafa, the Goat
Fought Ankle injury 6 months ago when was walking on one leg on crutches and fights of Covid 2 weeks before tournament and comes back to win the tournament in which he always had bad luck and wanted to win Australian open since a decade. He does it at the age of 35. He overcame his inner demons and brought out the beast in him to get his 21st slam. Phenomenadal. 🐐 🇪🇸 💪🏆
Biggest Fighter in history … for me the best ever … without injuries there were no Doubt

You would think Nadal would definitely lose after 2-6 / 6-7 for Medvedev, but he kept fighting on, and this game shows what he is made of.
The GOAT, no question. No amount of skill could ever match that heart
Nadal has the heart, Novak has the mental strength, and Fed has the grace and the most beautiful strokes. They are all a joy to watch, and so are the top youngsters.
There's only one GOAT and it ain't raf....
The best competitor in history, any sport
This is my favourite of all the Grand Slam titles that Rafa has won mainly because of how long it took him to win a 2nd Australian Open Singles title 13 years between his 1st and 2nd Australian Open title, he also completed the Career Grand Slam in Singles for the second time in his career. I always wanted Rafa to win a 2nd Australian Open Singles title and I am pleased he was able to do it before he retires.
