It's been another day of wet weather but that hasn't stopped our chicks from finding their voices. One of them in particular seems to be much further ahead than the other two. Wings are being regularly exercised and there's been some monster caterpillars brought in today. Hopefully the big chick won't get all of them!
Cat protection is holding up for now and there's a new motion sensitive ultrasonic noise generating thing at the base of the tree which the nest box is attached to. Hopefully it'll dissuade the badger from carving the lawn up. The local woodpecker is distracted by suet/protein balls hanging at the opposite end of the garden so those are being topped up daily.
Fingers crossed everyone, we're within touching distance!

@@TheGava4 No. They died for various reasons such as being stuck under their siblings and not being able to get fed enough as well as one that decided to go for a wander across the nest box and got stuck, subsequently dying from the cold and not being fed, along with others dying for reasons that weren’t clear, but all they were natural deaths with no other outside birds being involved.
