  • When I was a kid in 1997 my father saved up to bring me to the bulls game right behind the bulls bench. During a timeout my father leaned over and asked jordan and scottie to sign my ticket for me. They both ignored him as security walked over to back him off, then and there Dennis told security to hold up, looked back at me, took the ticket from my father and signed it. He handed it back to me with a "here you go little man". Kindness goes a long way, i've never forgotten that. He was an inspirational player, and the greatest rebounding player i've ever seen. Thanks for the memories Dennis, I wish you well in retirement.

    • +Corey Cavalier Usually there is 2 sides to every coin, but the bulls situation was truly a 3 headed coin/monster during this era (Jordan, Pippen, Rodman). Michael was always the apparent cool headed of the group, but was deep down the most aggressive. Scotty was the middle man through and through, very calm, great player, seemed to be OK being the middle man, but was always there for the team when need be. Dennis was the Bad Boy of the team, always being the troubled child, and a tempered soul off the court, but a VERY key part in the 2nd 3-peat for the bulls. The 3 speeches of Jordan, Pippen and Rodman seem to sum up their true personality more than any game they played, at least from the fan's point of view. Rodman's efforts on the court truly show how much he wanted to be a part of something great. and its truly great that the efforts put forth by him lead to the speech for the HOF, as well as him being set in stone as one of, if not the greatest rebounders and defensive players to ever play the game.

  • Wow that was powerful I'm glad everyone got to see the real Dennis Rodman. We are all flawed individuals nobody is perfect and Dennis flaws were there for all to see, no longer hidden by his exuberant and outlandish behavior which some in the media would use for their own benefit. Congratulations Mr Rodman for being inducted into the basketball hall of fame a truly deserved honour. I hope you can find peace and happiness in your retirement as you have brought so much happiness to everyone who loves basketball.

  • That was the most HONEST, FORTHCOMING, acceptance speech I've ever heard in my life. I can relate to Dennis on so many levels that I was in tears as well. When you see an individual truly and honestly take responsibility and try to be accountable for their actions authentically and respectfully, a miracle has been made. Dennis Rodman is nothing short of a miracle sensation, and basketball hero/legend. There will NEVER in all eternity be another player/individual who played as hard with as much passion and without intending to do so, be a ROCKSTAR, not for the attention, but because that's exactly who he was and still is, in the game of basketball EVER AGAIN. His star will shine so much brighter thru his growth and love for his family and all. We love you DENNIS!!! Shine ON!!!
