  • Speeches like this really give you an insight into who the person is. Jordan was a unique cat. There have been others just as athletically talented. Maybe even more so. But there has never been an athlete more driven to win than Jordan. Put that together with his elite physical talent, and you have the greatest ever. Jordan was a one in a million physical talent, and a one in a million mentality. One in a trillion. I doubt we will ever see anything like him again in all of athletics.

  • I remember being disappointed when I first watched this speech because I thought MJ humiliated a lot of people instead of using that podium to be gracious and thankful to all the people that helped him get to the Hall of Fame like most other players would do. Having shed my childhood adulation of St. Michael since then, however, and knowing more about the man now like how competitive he is with all things, etc. I now find this speech heartwarming, sincere, funny and inspiring. MJ is just as competitive AF and he will eternally be trash talking every single one of those whom he thought have wronged him, all the way to the Hall of Fame and all the way until he leaves this mortal coil. Take no prisoners. Inspirational. What an athlete, what a competitor. Thank you for all the joys you've given us watching you play in real time. Happy 60th Birthday MJ ☺️

But I also will not be a lebron hater and pretend the career he has had is not great and makes him ONE of the goats. Just not THE goat. But I also can admit when Jordan has done or said things that can be criticized or laughed at and the whole "I took it personally " joke from his interviews on The Last Dance is hilarious because I mean the man admitted he created false untrue scenarios In his head just to have a reason to be extra motivated to go out there and try to and usually did demoralize an opponent lol. • In his speech, he said everything he couldn’t say out loud when he was playing cause of his image. I don’t wanna be like Mike because that is a pedestal that can be suffocating and enthralling in equal measure. But he is an inspiring figure to me. His dedication, hard work, and perseverance is very admirable. My forever GOAT!

  • What probably gave Jordan tears is the fact that he can no longer do what he loves to do most like back in the younger days. Knowing basketball, there is no greater blessing than every second he was on the court. 🐐

  • This video breaks my heart every time I see it. Scottie Pippen is my favorite player, and nowadays all he does is rant about how Jordan disrespects him. But in Michael’s Hall of Fame speech, the very first person he talks about is Scottie. Before his siblings, before his family. I wish Scottie realizes how petty he is being and understands Michael always had nothing but the upmost respect for him.
