  • Cracking series Callum. It makes you really invest in an athlete and cheer them on whether it is in person or from the sofa. My track-running 12yr old daughter is now asking how old you need to be to enter the marathon after following Becky’s journey 😮😂

  • Virtually all the Elite British Woman footage I have seen has been of them running solo from very early on in the race. I wonder if in hindsight they would have preferred to start with the masses at the front. I know there are downsides to that like nutrition/drink stations etc but can’t help but think they would have all performed even better with some more company to run with? There just seemed to be a massive gap between the top 5 finishes and the rest of the elites and then the masses. Great content as always Callum.

    @edhare4572@edhare457226 күн бұрын
    • Definitely performance enhancing to run behind 100+ men, for sure. But not good preparation for championship events where it’s female-only… which is something they have to get used to & practice. If you’re paced the full 26.2 in every race, I think it’ll stunt your development as an athlete… being solo is a different kettle of fish - as shown by some of the results!
