  • Thanks for this demo. This is actually very hard to do by oneself whilst suffering excruciating pain, specially if one must use the left hand to do so. I recently burnt my right hand and fingers, so much damage made in just 1 second.

  • Thanks for sharing these burn care tips! 🔥 Just wanted to suggest Honey Lavender Magic - it's been a miracle worker for me. Give it a go! 💜

  • Don't waste your money on commercial burn films or even more sophisticated products like water-jel or Burn shield. Keep it simple. The prelims, plus water cooling 20mins and clingfilm. That's it.

  • No offense but I think if you are going title a video as "first aid for burns" it needs to cover all the areas. You also have not covered "burn kits" - a commercially driven notion. Such is the ridiculous situation caused by these kits, that the very organisations who teach a water cooling simple dressing model in burn first aid lectures put gel pads in burn kits they sell to the same members of the public they are teaching a different model to!! A first aid kit should contain a small roll of cling film for burns - that's it. There is no such thing as a "burns kit" unless you're going to add some IV's, Morph, fluids and ETT gear. As for your dressing approach here, it doesn't work like that in the real world. Its hard to see a panicking mother treating a coffee burn on her infant child with such an elaborate approach. I appreciate the idea seems reasonable even clever but its just overkill. In the process you neglected the priorities in messages to the public - Water cooling for 20mins and longitudinal cling film dressing or clean non-adhesive bandages. A simple, straightforward standard model that should be applied to all thermal burns.
