Today’s video is all about types of burns for Nursing Students and NCLEX Review.
Burns can range from minor to life-threatening, and the severity of the burn depends on the amount of skin burned and the depth of the burn. They’re classified by their severity: first-degree, second-degree, third-degree, and fourth-degree burns.
We’re going over the signs and symptoms of burns and nursing interventions for each of these stages.

I take the NCLEX tomorrow 2/13/23. Posting this as my testimony: I rebuke the spirit of uncertainty, anxiety, nervousness, and self-doubt. I will pass the NCLEX in God's name. Amen.
did you pass?
Hey, yes I passed by the grace of God. My license number was posted on my state’s board of nursing the next morning (:
@@FlowerChiefhow was it? PN OR RN?
It was RN. My exam stopped at 76 questions: I had 25 SATA. There were a lot of fundamental concepts. I reviewed a bunch of Simple Nursing videos and I used Saunders and ATI to practice questions.

Second, how long did you prepare? I takes mines in less than a week, although I am comfortable, I want to be confident. I’m not there quite yet, so I’m considering to push back my date!

Burn center. If you're in an emergency room and you get a significant burn, BURN CENTER! Don't try to treat in house. You won't even know the extent of the damage for 48 hrs or more anyway.
it should be 4ml x kg x %TBSA only for ELECTRICAL BURNS! its usually 2mL x kg x %TBSA for everything else
If the upper anterior leg is burnt, what percentage is that? Whoomp, Whoomp, Whoomp! What if the upper front and back is burnt, what is that?
😭
Good video but I don’t understand why all medical books and lectures always say “redness” we have dark skin ppl we care for that you will never see “redness” what do we look for the…..medicine needs to be more inclusive and not so one sided with its sign and symptoms
