I can completly agree with this!Everytime I am nervous or shy to do something I start overthinking and when I overthink I end up not doing it at all,so the best way to overcome this,is by facing the problem head on,no overthink no nothing,just go there without a plan and see what happens,not doing it is the worst thing that can happen(of course this does not apply to really everything..)

I still didn’t get rid of my fear of public speaking. The most important part about facing your fears is that you at least try. You are gonna be freaked out of your mind but the one thing that matters is that you tried (you were courageous enough to do something that you utterly fear/dislike). One time I had this Spanish project which literally determined my grade for the rest of the quarter (1/4 of the school year) and we basically had to write about our made up family tree in Spanish. We had to introduce everyone in our family tree in the paragraph we were writing and we had 2 presentation options: 1. Make a video of you and explain your project and send it to your teacher (only the teacher will see this), and 2. Make your project and present in front of the whole class. I knew that I would regret my whole life if I chose to present in front of the whole class, but you wanna know what, I chose to do it in front of the whole class. When I got up to do my presentation, my voice was cracking, I was shaking like crazy, I was hyperventilating and I wanted to cry and run out of the school. When I received my project, I got 100% and when I left class, all my friends told me that I did a good job and that they would never do a project in front of the class again. What I’m trying to say here is there are many people out there who may be exactly like you. You decide what you want for your own life. You control your emotions. You have the right to prosper in your dreams. Remember fear is just a distraction that you can get rid of. Destroy your fears before they destroy you.
omg same..this week my teacher was choosing randomally to do presentantion ( i have only 4 girl classmates and almost 30 boys in my class ) and so many of them were not ready to present and then she chose me i didnt hesitate idk what happend even though i barely talk with my friends .. i started good and then i got nervous and shaking TT..but i was very glad when my classmates complimented me they really liked my topic and the way i present it :( + today i hesitated to talk about my opinion about something but i forced myself and yeah my teacher told that my voice is quiet/weak TT but im proud that i tried ! and i will try to raise my voice louder next time .. i realized trying a lot makes me more confident.

I.. will try 😥😭 my sadistic and evil sister makes me so scared. Every Saturday and Sunday, I am forced to go to a religious class by my parents. Even though I'm an adult, my parents still make me go when I don't feel comfortable. I go to the religious class with my cruel/bad sister. I'm uncomfortable and scared in the whole class and my sister knows it and she enjoys it and tries to make me more uncomfortable or scared and she even enjoys it. this was really helpful. i have been planning my first trip all alone (i just turned 18) to another state and my parents are super protectors. i didn't tell them anything about it until a day before. even though i paid for everything, and solved everything on my own, i was too scared to tell them, but i knew i had to do it and i wanted to do it. i spent the whole day trying to tell them, but i got anxious and thought about million things they could say and ruin my mood for the trip, but then, at a midnight before the trip, i used this trick to text them both about it. and in the morning, their reaction were better than i thought. fear, anxiety and overthinking is just an invisible barrier formed by things that may never happen and only existis in our minds. we have to do things even if we're scared, this is life after all. 💛
My College open day is tomorrow, I meet my classmates and teacher for the first time. I'm nervous and hope I can mingle. I'll be using this to help propell me into action. Thanks man 🙌
