  • Was at that game and was a snappy affair for a charity shield, being a red, keegan was superb, Giles was also a superb player, nobody can say that match was boring 😁

  • Not only did Giles enjoy a legal victory v. the David Peace book but Dave Mackay also enjoyed one (v. the film version). As a Hollywood lawyer called Fred Leopold used to say, "If you have real people as characters they can have lattes and muffins but they can't say, 'Let's go for a f**k in the bushes'."

  • Of course he shouldn't have done it(and let's be honest JG spun around txt book style and claimed KK,)but Keegan was racing around on a mission to kick as many Leeds players as possible..But then he met JG and was"ironed out"unceremoniously!!

  • Was a crazy little eleven-year-old Leeds fan when watching this on live TV in Dublin. Still recall being amazed my hero Johnny stayed on the pitch! But Kev was even getting on my nerves, for feck's sake. Sock it to 'em, Johnny!

  • It was a good hit by Johnny. To be fair Keegan got back up and didn’t make much of an issue with it neither did the Liverpool players, it was a different game then.

    • No worse than any other. Chelsea were the dirtiest team at that time. The "dirty Leeds" tag was southern journalistic license and it stuck. No more in it than that.

    • Still think Leeds - Chelsea was the dirtiest game ever outside of South America and Eastern Europe. If played today there wouldn't be a player left on the pitch and some of em would be lucky to get off with an ABH charge.

    • JUST IN CASE YOUR REFERRING TO KEVIN Keegan .Not in his nature. WELL KEVIN ISNT NOR WAS NEVER A BULLY MENTALLY /PHYSICALLY. Rightly sent off but was a bit riled with things being said on the pitch to him. I reckon thats what made him SAME REASON AS michael the mercenary owen was sent of mu v liverpool 1all draw.he was going through and was rightly sent off. Im glad he scored equalised first before he left the pitch. We dont know the half of it.

  • Johnny giles would have been showen red card with VAR right so too liverpool manchester united or city wouldnt up with that sort dirty players thats why leeds are not well like im am a liverpool fan and im glad my home town of leicester given leeds a good hiding on their own patch 4-1

  • Cheap shot ........if it was Sunday league football, Giles would have got flattened! These players can always be hard when they know there’s a referee to step in and stop it!

    • Sunday league has refs unfortunately they get beat up by people who think there big and hard . Johnny Giles could look after his self . Trouble is today No respect for Refs at any level. In football you need a ref .
