      @AdruA@AdruA4 жыл бұрын
    • you can learn 4 look last layer which is only 9 algs for OLL and 6 algs for PLL. If you just want to be able to solve the cube without a cheat sheet, you only need to know 7 OLLs and 3 PLLs for a total of 10 algs. the algorithms are pretty easy to remember/very similar to each other. The algorithms are just sequences of moves to solve more of the cube, nothing too stressful. Just muscle memory.

As a causal, very much not speed cuber (more into higher order and modded etc puzzles) who hasn’t ever bothered to invest time and effort into advancing from pretty fast beginners method, this was revolutionary. Like always assumed you guys worked everything out in the beginning and did one massive string of algorithms without taking much of a second look but I guess I was completely wrong haha. Amazing

    @superru7438@superru74383 жыл бұрын
    • Actually, this is not beginners method. It's called CFOP, which is pretty much beginners but with only 4 steps. It cuts out a lot of the repetitiveness by giving algs for every case. There are 109 algs you need to learn (78 with intuitive F2L) for full CFOP, then there's other advanced alg sets, like VLS and ZBLL.

    • He's right. No math skills, but a lot of other mental factors are involved. I recommend solving a 3x3x3 atleast once to anyone. It's a great learning experience the whole way through, and you can focus on improving different areas to get better. Some people have better hand dexterity, some have stronger pattern recognition, some faster reaction speeds, and some people are better at piecing together future moves. Go grab yourself a cube and give it a shot!
