Watched this when I first solved the cube, almost 1 year ago. Rewatching it today. Wow, I view it really different now
Good
Same thing
Same but I learned to solve it 4 years ago, and I didn't do what he did till around a month after his video came out. I look back around a year later, and I do exactly what he does :p
Ikr
Exactly same here
So it means speed cubers sees the world in slowmotion
Kinda
Yes, absolutely!
That must be so frustrating
yea
Now it makes sense
At first I thought the 'normal view' was putting the cube down unsolved.
That or "solving" 1 layer or forming the white cross but unaligned. On that last one I noted that it means at one point they tried a tutorial, but like many tutorials out there, it was a shitty tutorial.
U need 1 likw more for 1k!

That's my normal view.

Exactly thank you Been speed-cubing for 5 years, it’s not as complicated as he makes it out to be And speed-cubers aren’t no supercomputer or Albert Einstein
OliverTheOlive they aren’t
Just like shroud.... They're gods
WetBricks it’s not easy at all, I use 2 look PLL, 2 look OLL and beginner F2L and beginner cross. And I suck
yup they're aliens
Ok so my conclusion : Speed cubers see in slow motion and there is text in their brain that tells them what to do
Yep😂
R D honestly, you’re not far off
R D approximately
Pretty much, lol😂
Yep
Me: Damn, that seems doable... Video: I then have to do 1 of 57 algorithms. Me: Yeah probably not
Thats why i learned the Petrus method, there's not much to remember except for some 10ish algorythms in total for a full cube? Its slower, but im just glad i can even solve it ;)
you can learn 4 look last layer which is only 9 algs for OLL and 6 algs for PLL. If you just want to be able to solve the cube without a cheat sheet, you only need to know 7 OLLs and 3 PLLs for a total of 10 algs. the algorithms are pretty easy to remember/very similar to each other. The algorithms are just sequences of moves to solve more of the cube, nothing too stressful. Just muscle memory.
U actually can do that part only knowing 2 algs. It just takes longer.
i know full pll and oll its not that hard cfop took me like 4 months to memorize
Parker Gent yah I know all of pll but trying to find a better g perm algorithms for c and d. Starting to learn full oll.

Wow. As a causal, very much not speed cuber (more into higher order and modded etc puzzles) who hasn’t ever bothered to invest time and effort into advancing from pretty fast beginners method, this was revolutionary. Like always assumed you guys worked everything out in the beginning and did one massive string of algorithms without taking much of a second look but I guess I was completely wrong haha. Amazing
Actually, this is not beginners method. It's called CFOP, which is pretty much beginners but with only 4 steps. It cuts out a lot of the repetitiveness by giving algs for every case. There are 109 algs you need to learn (78 with intuitive F2L) for full CFOP, then there's other advanced alg sets, like VLS and ZBLL.
@@spicywind8607 I guess this is true bu ti was referring more to the fact that I thought it was completely different method whereas it is still based on the same principles
@@spicywind8607 Well, I never really learned F2L algs. I did them all intuitively until I didn't have to think, and if they felt slow or had a regrip I would find an actual alg and learn that.

Sadly pretty accurate. It’s like a hole new world for people who’ve had no experience
Mad respect for speedcubers/speedrunners, that takes a lot of skill
What a speedcuber sees: A rubix cube What a normal person sees: The same damn rubix cube
rubiks*
Actually, a normal person see a rubix cube, and a speedcuber sees a Rubik’s Cube. Actually that wasn’t even a Rubik’s Cube. It’s a different brand, which is much faster.
I can't forgive you for spelling Rubik's with an x.
@Cubebotics Yes, they do
poof_ Rubik’s*
Yes, life goes slower once i know how to solve a cube Everytime a minute passes i think to myself " i could scramble and solve 3 rubiks cube right now "
You can shuffle 3 cubes and solve them under 1 minute? Even if you just take 5 seconds for each shuffle, then also it takes 15 seconds, so you can solve each cube in 15 seconds???? Hard to believe but okay I will digest...
I suddenly know how to solve a cube after watch this. Thank you
Thanks for this video. Always wanted to know how it looks from the view of a speedcuber.
This man can do all that 💩 in his head in 12.74 seconds and go through with it in that time Meanwhile I can’t even do my math homework
Cubing doesnt require any math skills xD
He's right. No math skills, but a lot of other mental factors are involved. I recommend solving a 3x3x3 atleast once to anyone. It's a great learning experience the whole way through, and you can focus on improving different areas to get better. Some people have better hand dexterity, some have stronger pattern recognition, some faster reaction speeds, and some people are better at piecing together future moves. Go grab yourself a cube and give it a shot!
It's actually pretty easy (not solving it in

I get an average of 30-35 seconds, my main slow part is the white cross. Any tips?
Do it faster
You have to find all the edges and find where to put them in inspection time
Try different colours for the cross
Find the edges, then try to think all of the shortest steps needed to put all four of them into place. And yeah, it takes some time to get the hang of it
