Completely different wording that was taken far out of context by that dude. Also, EVs might not be the cleanest, but there is evidence to prove that they are indeed still cleaner than the equivalent ICE vehicles even taking into account the initial emissions deficit and assuming it stops exclusively at CO2 powered charging stations. And with all the potential advantages of EVs over ICEs from an engineering standpoint, it's a no-brainer to use. Really the only real downside is that the materials are usually mined in placed where there is child labor, but even then, that is a matter of getting it from more responsible sources

To be clear, muscle cars are now about 80 years old. All of these things change given enough time. If they want to compete, they're going to have to go electric and no doubt this car is going to be very quick off the line. Heavy, expensive, but very quick and just as spacious if not more.

And Ford will be selling a lot more of them in the coming years since Dodge is no longer offering V8s. The only negative for the Mustang buyer is that more demand will increase the MSRP.
Not to mention Ford keeps putting the Coyote V8 on their F-150 when they don’t actually have to. The 3.5 Ecoboost is more powerful and capable than the Coyote, and the Coyote isn’t that much more capable than the 2.7 Ecoboost used in some F-150 models. Therefore, I’m confident Ford offers the V8 out of respect of their fans and because they know it sells.

For now... yes. But the same CAFE standards will hit Ford in 2026. All of their cars sold will need to add up to like 50mpg flert average. So when 2026 comes, Ford will either do the same and stop building V8s, or they'll build so few of them to keep their average up and they'll charge an outrageous amount. Dodge doesn't have fuel efficient vehicles to hit that average MPG and get away with it, so they don't have a choice.

My father grew me up on dodge. He had a 2017 SXT, then a 2020 392 scatpack, now a 2022 hellcat, I have a 392 scatpack that I bought at 20. Now 21. I have had a 2019 dodge challenger SXT, a 2012 dodge challenger R/T, and now the 2021 392scatpack. I've never really been a fan of the Charger since the 68-70 era. I was a 3rd generation Mopar fan. I've had dozens of 60s-80s Dodges, Plymouths, Chryslers. My dad had even more. I now own 2 Fords. Dad owns Subarus. Chrysler lost its way a long time ago, and almost had it back with the recent HEMI cars, but is lost again. That fake exhaust kind of sums it up for me. The company has no clue.

My family has never been a Dodge Dan since my dad test drove a new 1979 Ram to replace his 1970 F150, it died, they brought another exact Ram, it died. My dad bought a 1979 GMC instead! BUT, I have to give credit that Dodge/Chrysler builds some of the nicest looking vehicles built in the last 25 years or so.

What system are they even fighting? Their parent company? They aren't fighting then. If Stellantis as a whole cared so much about their performance vehicles and performance trims for Dodge, Maserati, Alfa Romeo, and Fiat/Abarth they wouldn't try to make them electric. They would have instead subsided the emissions fees by making more hybrid and electric vehicles for the rest of the line-up. This is a very simple thing they could have done, but they choose not to because they do not actually care.

The extra batteries may actually be needed for increased power output (each battery has limited output so the more the better).
