Remember that guy from the Azarenka/Fernandez comments that said Andreeva would absolutely CRUSH Fernandez. I wonder where he is today? 🤣🤣🤣🤩
Not sure why anyone would think Fernandez is ever going to be an easy out. No one gets past her easily even in a one sided scoreline, because getting to the scoreline usually takes 90 minutes of pure pressure. And then you still have to hit another ball back. Fernandez is one of the best players in the world at getting the ball back into the court and making you hit one more ball. That’s how she beats you.
Good job Leylah. The angles paid off. Keep going. 👍👏
@@jesuslovesmebut8180 angles means corners. You must have interpreted it differently/wrong.
What an awesome commentator, love her energy
That's British commentator Gigi Salmon
@@BurnsTennisShe is nasal.
That was an excellent match. Tons of long great rallies with great shot making.. Tons of variety. Leylah definitely won on her racquet.
She's a great player
You cant go wrong by watching a Fernandez match. They are ALWAYS so entertaining to watch. Really love her drive and her game.
@@cyberjonesysame thoughts
The best match I ever saw from Leylah. 🎉🎉🎉🎉
Lets give the credit when it’s due. Can we appreciate that Leylah really played a better game? This is the 2nd time they played against each other, and for sure Leylah figured it out how Mirra plays unlike their first meeting. People tend to overlook that Leylah has already been a finalist in the US Open, and can really go deep in any tour. She’s improving, especially her serves.
WAY TO GO LEYLAH!!!!! I saw a prediction after last match that you were going to get crunched by Mirra. Well you showed her what stamina and excellent placement are all about and you came out ahead. Super concentration and great comeback! Excellent match Girl! Give yourself several pats on the back!!!
Andreeva needs to stop throwing her racket around. This isn't pre-school.
With age comes maturity. With maturity comes knowledge. Mirra still has a long road ahead.
A very promising and bright road of her.
My thoughts exactly!
@@jesuslovesmebut8180You can add sore back, sore hips and legs.
@@jesuslovesmebut8180 do not put yourself into this equilibrium, it is not about you
She’s lucky that she’s white. Everyone is lenient with her. She won’t go far with that temper. She’s spoiled and think everything should go her way. She’s very impatient. You can never be a tennis GOAT with that temper.
This is a big win for Leylah otherwise it's gonna be on her head losing to Mirra twice. But that never happend today. Huge congratulations Leylah 💜🎾🏆
No she only lost once
@@roysantiago9131 i mean if she lost this time...its her second loss to mirra. the first loss was in Madrid
andreevas athleticism is remarkable.... it is her maturity thats pulling her down.
@@jesuslovesmebut8180she is 16...loool
@@jesuslovesmebut8180if twelve, she would be the tiger woods of tennis LOL
And we still need to realise that she is only 16 years old. Who is fully mature at 16?
Puller her down? She’s top 50 at 16 lol these comments are wild man
@@wenotdabank_2835 You can say that again. These crazy negative comments. How many people seem to not realize that she is in the top 50 at age 16. Some players reach age 30 and never reach top 100.
Excellent match, excellent execution from both players. Leylah my other favourite player, is finding her form. Hope all goes well from here!
Vamoosss Leylah
Andreeva should not despair in her game, she is very young and what she is doing, in my opinion, what she is achieving is positive. Little by little you are putting together what you want to achieve with it, what it means to be a great champion. What you should achieve with her is to work on her temperament, since she has the technique. IMHO!
Go go go Leylah!👌
Good match at first. You can tell that Andreeva is still young and needs to mature to handle the normal ups and downs of a tennis match.
At this point, I want to see Andreeva losing just for the chance to see her lose her mind. It's hilarious.
She's so annoying and unlikable too which makes it even better
Wow....well done Leylah...Mirra is a huge talent....so this is a big win for Leylah...
So happy for LF!!!!! It’s been a tough year for her😵💫
Leylah that backhand though 🎉❤️🤩
Andreeva clearly has much potential but the heavy stress of high expectations are clearly weighing heavily on her young shoulders. She needs a proper mentor to mature into a contender.
I can only watch in awe and only wish there was a 2nd audio that you could switch too that explained the shot choice and, if it isn't all instinctive reaction and response, to help explain the game plan and when and why and how it is adapted to turn things in their favor if what was planned isn't working against a specific opponent on the day.
Mirra is so annoying with her immature attitude and racquet throwing. She’ll be a joy to watch in a few years.
She’s like 16. Give her a break. How was your mental fortitude at 16? It would be different if she was seasoned and older. But chill
@@mwoz14222 I just said she’s immature and it’s annoying. Great player, will be mentally better in a few years. Cheers.
Shes like Kostyuk and Ostapenko. throwing tantrums every 5 mins… Sadly theres weirdos that only watch tennis because of that apparently, they defend them to death even if they never win anything.
Throwing your racquet after being broken immediately after winning a set by a double break is ridiculous. Andreeva is so good at being unlikeble it's incredible
shes disgusting.
Maybe that`s just showing how extremely ambitious she is...no?
@@GeorgeT370 she’s throwing her racquet when her opponents hit winners….classless and trashy, she needs to grow up.
I know Andreeva is only 16 but she has to change her court behavior. Throwing tantrums isn't going to win over many fans
Exactly!
You would be surprised how many people love Ostapenko and Putintseva for the constant drama
Andreeva's tantrum at Wimbledon against Keys and being penalized a point will always live in my mind rent free.
@@jesuslovesmebut8180 rage against the umpire; Andreeva was like 'the racket slipped out of my bad' when she clearly threw it
Poor Andreeva, shes very concerned
Tantrum?
@@deusexmachina9776typical Russian lying.
i feel the same. although she’s still young, her mental needs improvement. tossing her racquet after dropping the first game in the second set…. it's clear it effects her game
been waiting fer leylah to get back to this lvl.. she's back to fully charged now.. way to put in the werk. far and away my favorite wta'er
Two youngsters battling it out... Terrific stuff
Love both these future stars ⭐️ ⭐️
This type of Leylah I miss. Focused and in attack mode.
Way to go Leylah, cheering you on ,back home🎉🎉🎉keep going
Leylah kept her cool and patiently crafted a come-from-behind victory, while Andreeva had multiple meltdowns and threw her racquet around like a petulant child.
She’s still a teen so… let her grow up at her own pace
Well she is 16 so she still has lots to learn
Leylah’s mental strength and resilience are her best assets as a player. Hopefully she grows her game much further to move her up in the standings.
That's because she is a petulant child. She'll learn, eventually, or find another occupation.
Great win for Leylah. Best I've seen her play all season actually. Mirra has a huge future. Could be quite a few battles between these two over the years.
Leyla es pura educación tiene buenas bases un buen trabajo de sus padres
They both so young....wish Layla win the thropy...SEA country pride..love from Indonesia
Excellent comeback for Leylah, Mirra is tough.
See how the younger girl keeps throwing her rackets? She wont go far regardless of how good her skills are if she doesnt change her attitude
Andreeva clearly needs to learn the necessity of self control/ discipline. ( her racket/ tantrums ) If she does not she will fade and not fulfill her potential.
She’s reverts back to what’s otherwise normal junior behaviour when things are not going her way. Which is normal, she is 16. I watched a few of her junior matches where tantrums were following every single point, so she’s definitely cut it down a lot. She’ll cut it down more as she grows most likely
Maybe she needs to think about changing racket grips more often. The racket "slipping"from her hand hasn't been a recurring issue since Wimbledon.
Fernandez well done. We love you
Bravo Leyla
Andreeva‘s mind strength is as strong as teeth floss. Still need to grow to overcome big moments / big matches
Wish i could see this version of leyla more often. Great result anyways
Go Leylah!
Congrats Leylah!! 🎉
Mirra was up a whole set. She needs to get that anger under control and focus. She is too good of a player to get so easily unraveled.
It's strange to see how in bigger tournaments Mirra is dominating over the non top 20 players without problems and loses against players, like Sabalenka, Gauff, Rybakina and Keys, but in the smaller tournaments, where most of the top players don't play, she is getting eliminated early (she has losses against Rakhimova, Bondar, Stephens (who actually is a former GS champion, but here we judge the current ranking and form of the players) and now Fernandez, whom Mirra beat in a bigger tournament earlier this year). I think the problem isn't in Andreeva's playing style, the problem is in her mentality. Don't matter of that how big is the tournament, i feel that Mirra still isn't ready for a WTA title. I know that it's only her first season in WTA and her season is great in terms of consistency, especially on that age. But at the same time i am a bit worried about her. I hope to see her improving mentally, because she is one hell of talent.
She's 16. If mentality is her biggest problem then she'll be fine
@@dotdot7547 of course i will give her a time. It's even refreshing to see such a youngster in top 50.She is very young and i hope that problem will be temporary.
I'm sure she will win her first title next year and her first GS in 2025, I'm calling it!
What I noticed about Coco’s development is that she won a WTA 250 at 15 that got her in the top 100. She was also beating those below her Mira will get there with experience and this kind of tournament is just right for her development. I think she loves the big tournaments and does well in them.
No need to worry. Fernandez showed her greater experience today (although she's still relatively new too) but Mirra has a much higher ceiling. I thought she actually looked a bit tired. What she does need to watch is her temper because I can see her getting some disqualifications in the future if she keeps flinging the racket around!
I see a lot of negative remarks about Mirra. What she is doing as a 16 years old is special. She is a fighter and she is also hard on herself. Yes she has done things that we don't like but she needs time to grow. She is a young girl who is still even going to school. Let us not start to castigate her so much.
Those are some nice words....big thumbs up from me for that!
She used to go to school but now she's doing her all her schooling online, same like Coco when she was 16,otherwise she wouldn't be able to travel round the world playing. The only player who attended school full time up to the age of 18 is Emma and yet after finishing her A levels, which for people not from the UK is the university entrance exams, she then went on to win the US Open a couple of months later, absolutely insane and unheard of,don't think it'll ever happen again!
leylah fernandez is a fighter
Andreeva is already in the Top Ten in Racket Flinging!
Wow that was awesome leylah congrats for the win please remember that you are still my faborite player.. that is what a champion must be.. strong, speed and determination to win under pressure..gogo idol am praying for you to be out of injuries ..
When a tennis player threw the racket after losing a point or a set, usually this player is not much a thinker or a tactician. Mirra is still young and can learn to plan ahead instead of further frustrating herself. Mirra recently had a good run at the Aussie Open by getting to the 4th round.
Wow!
Bratty Russian girl defeated. Very good. Congrattulations Leylah!
Leylah 💜
Fernandez usually gets blasted off the court so it's nice to see her win coming from behind against a young player who has a much bigger upside.
You blind? Watch any of her losses this year and tell me how that constitutes being blasted off court. It’s very rare for her to lose quickly.
I am came here for Mirra and stayed for Laylah.
Andreeva still ways to go in terms of mental and attitude. Can't be throwing the racket and yelling every time she loses a tough game
Same though especially against former U.S Open finalist.
Congratulations layla🎉🎉🎉good game ladies
Mirra like young Federer is a hot head. Confident players, look at Leylah across the net, stay calm to allow their greatest skill/asset to shine: iQ ✅️ Can't play smart while freaking out ❌️
Congratulations LF❤
All that racket throwing is a no no for me … She will have to work on her attitude…
Mirra needs to calm her emotions. She easy gets distracted when she loses service game.
I'm writing about the same thing. Even for a child, she is too emotional.
@@LobsterFromMars she has very good game but her meltdown is so quick. Like every time she gets broken she just go mental do stupid stuff like throwing rackets hitting ball to crowds. If she controls her emotion she can be top 10 by next year AO open. She can easily beat top 20/30 player, she has the skill but just need focus. Her coaches need to fix that issue of her. She nearly beat Rybakina last week just because of meltdown she lost that match.
Only one thing is important, that she concentrates well on the coming point. Some characters need to let emotions out.
Not very likable Andreeva. Throwing rackets multiple times screaming and yelling. Glad to see Leylah win!
You had better beat this young woman NOW before she matures enough to handle the adversity in matches. Her game is awesome really. She will be that person that nobody wants in their draw in the not too distant future. Great win for Fernandez overcoming the first set loss.
Cual habra sido la causa del desplome de Andreeva a partir del segundo set?. Habra sido fisico?. Habra sido mental?.

Good job Leylah 😮🙄👌👏 E) y the voice of the commentator. 🤔 Ah, what a match. 😮
No matter Leylah win or loose. Just love her. How not to be for such a cute little gal ? 😂😂
Good for Leyah
Me alegra que halla ganado ya era hora, y eso que regalo varios puntos
Mirra is only 16! She will be a big thing in the future.
You frustrate Mirra, you got the game😂. Good game from Leylah
If not for absolutely how busy I am, I would've bet a lot of money that Andreeva was going to win that one. Wow.
Leyla is more mature than Mirra! That helped her on winning this very nice match!I liked it a lot!!!
AHAHA, prejudice people thought Andreeva was going to "crush" Leylah. Idiots.
Andreeva is a tennis brat. Leylah has always been classy even when she was kept waiting by you know who at the US Open.
Faint praise for a former USOpen finalist, but that was a good win for Leylah
Leylah an electric tennis nice to see her back to her best.
Fernandez is light years beyond her
People dont realised that it isnt skills that makes the player. Its attitude. Look at all the champs. Look at all the washouts. Compare their attitudes
Andreeva truly lost it middle of the 2nd set and relied on some questionable forehand slices.
I was brought here from a Pilot Whale Video
Cuando mirra no es la que domina se viene abajo edo se nota
Mirra reverting to that passive slice forehand in third sets is so annoying
🎉🎉🎉
Nice job Leylah! Looks like you're getting on a roll. Love the determination. Keep it going. Always watching from Hamilton.
Ребенок при первой неудаче начинает истерить, плакать и его игра полностью разваливается. Как-то не серьезно это пока что.
Generally the player loses the first set then dies and loses the 2nd easily Mirra wins the 1st set starts the 2nd crushing the opponent doesn't finish it, loses the set and never comeback it's something to work next season because it's a bad pattern. Anyway if Leylah won it's fine love her
What are you talking about? Andreeva didn't crush leylah at any point in the match. Even the games Mirra won were very close. Leylah had break opportunity in first set to go four four. There was no crushing in the early second set either. What were you watching?
Andreeva is a brat. She gets slack because she’s cute and blonde, but she needs to mature. Leylah, Coco, Emma were all that young when playing professionally and none were little spoiled jerks.
Yet again another collapse by Andreeva after winning the first set just like against Rybakina. Doubtlessly talented, but one has to wonder whether Andreeva really has the temperament to win at the highest level considering the way she was throwing her racquet onto the court after losing a few games as usual and appeared to be crying at the change of ends in the third game of the final set. But of course all this is excusable at 16 but if she's still doing it at 18 then it's more serious. Don't forget only a very tiny minority of talented teenagers ever make it to the big league and the jury is still out on Andreeva for now.
Mirra la tipica niña. Caprichosa en el juego como en la vida sveces se gana y otras se pierde se nota que sus padres no le han enseñado que en la vida va a recbir muchos NO, es una pena porque es muy talentosa
If the "between" hve a face that's Leylah face 😂😂😂
Это была не Мирра 😮
Hard to think that she only is 16....
A Mirra fica de birra aí, precisa trabalhar muito o mentalizando dela.
Leylah so cool, Andreeva - not
Что ж ты так страдаешь, маленькая. Ты талантливая и красивая, всё придёт. Лучше сразу научится спокойно принимать эти маленькие неудачи. Это же только деньги. 3-5 тысяч не решают ничего в нашей жизни
Bet 1000$ on Andreeva the day Fernandez played her best game ever 😂
C’mon cut some slack for Andreeva. She is just 16. Imagine by the time she is 21, she probably be at least 1,80, with a powerful body, destroying opponents right and left. Meanwhile, Leylah is still in 60th place, not progressing a bit, and making a fuzz by beating a 16 year old at the end of the game. Kind a sad really.
Worst take I haver heard. Leylah has develooed a lot and is already one of the best doubles players in the world. She played one particular style at that USO. Her coaching staff knew others would catch on so they have had to sacrifice results in the short term by taking the time to teach her other tactics and shots etc.. It will all come together.
Maybe.. if Andreeva will not have mental health problem.. she looked so stressed and can’t handle her mistakes..
This is a dumb comment, Leylah has beaten top 10 players and made the final of a US Open, the quarters of the French. And is a top doubles player. And she’s only 21…
You can't be 16 forever because to date she hasn't won anything of note yet and this is only a WTA 250 event. Let's see how she does in a couple of years' time because if she's truly exceptional then she'll have won her first Slam by then.
Oh please, she is 16. What mental problems? She just played against Elena@@marichudecastro144
