Leafs got away with a lot more than the Canes got away with. Lazy stick control leading to countless high sticks committed by the Leafs and holding and hooking calls that the Canes were called on but the Leafs were allowed to get away with. Woll and Anderson both played out of their mind. Sure the Leafs had a level of disadvantage with this being a back to back but it’s not like they were playing that rested of a team since the Canes only had one day off after their own back to back with both of those games going to extra time.

Сейчас же после недавних обменов у Каролины есть качественное усиление в атаке, появилась завидная глубина в нападении, например Теравяйнен сейчас играет не в 1 звене, как раньше, а в 3 звене. Плюс Андерсен набрал форму и уверенно стоит в воротах. В таком состоянии Каролина может в плей-офф обыграть любую команду на Востоке, и думаю, что именно сейчас Каролина готова пройти очень далеко в плей-офф, как минимум дойти до финала Востока.

Having an incredibly physical grinding game with the Oilers, a back to back game with an early start and travel. Plus the refs were basically in the bag for the canes calling ridiculous penalties. It was clear with the non call on one of the few leafs powerplays, it was purely to ruin their momentum. So of course they looked haggard, plus all of those near misses around the second period, it was clear to the leafs that it was over from the start.
