  • I was 34 when "The Legend of Zelda" was released and I became hooked on the games. I am 71 and still playing. Hearing this music brought back so many memories and brought tears to my eyes. Thank you, Nintendo, for bringing us so many great games and a lifetime of enjoyment.

    • @@burgesswaz interesting choice, but I also love the game more than most people. Motion control sword fighting was always really cool no matter how broken it could end up being. Fighting ghirihim (can’t spell) stalfos and demise always felt like a real sword fight. I’m glad to hear that this series reaches out to such a wide audience.

    • I love how Zelda reaches so many different age groups, I was 3 when I was introduced to Zelda series. My mum bought the n64 when it came out and got majoras mask + ocarina of time when they were released. Many years later my brother found it in storage and started playing and I started to watch him play. Been obsessed with the series ever since I love it so much, made so many friends bonding over these games. My favourite game is MM definitely. I think skyward sword or twilight princess are tied 2nd for me ❤

    • I absolutely LOVED this, especially as a cellist. That being said, nothing is absolved from criticism. Some of these pieces just simply don't sound as good without the choir. The BOTW trailer theme that everyone loves, I just didn't get that sensation of goosebumps without the choir belting out vocals in the background. It sounded empty. There were pieces where the full orchestra worked perfectly, and I did get that sensation. My personal feeling is don't shortchange a piece if you're going to perform it. Go all out! I absolutely agree with you that I wish it was longer. Twilight Princess' music is so under-appreciated. I went to a Zelda candlelight concert, and TP was the one major Zelda game that was left out, which was so frustrating.

That being said, it was all good, it was just missing some of the crazy full sounding harmonies and blending of a billion different sounds in a beautiful whirlwind of chords and notes. • There is nothing more nostalgic to me than the zelda soundtracks and the games. Brings back so many old and beautiful memories to my childhood playing with my brother and dad; great times always in my memory. Thanks for all these years Nintendo and to many years to come; you really outdid yourself with these wonderful works of art.
