you can actually understand animal crossing characters, they pronnounce every letters of the dialogue in a fast way.

@@Novalaxy23 Not in Japanese. Kana are always pronounced the same, while kanji have different meanings and are usually accompanied by a pronunciation guide (i.e. furigana) in Animal Crossing anyways

off the hook will appear in the upcoming DLC for the game so I assume they are waiting until after that to do another concert featuring pearl and marina.
@@somethingbanter Not to mention bringing Pearl and Marina this early in the life cycle of the game is just an unusual idea. Like, if they were to do a collab with with all 3 groups, it’d probably be near or at the end of the games life cycle.

Y'know...the perfect Splatoon 3 concert would be after the Splatoon 3 DLC is released for a while, and then Damp Socks feat. Off the Hook opens with multiple songs, then Deep Cut is the main attraction, after which the Squid Sisters sing Wave Goodbye, and then the Squid Sisters and Deep Cut do Calamari Inkantation 3MIX again...and the biggest final reveal would be that the Squid Sisters, Off the Hook, and Deep Cut all perform Now Or Never to wrap it all up! It'd be like a dream! 🦑🐙

I can’t wait until they do just this. We need Calamari Inkantation 5-Mix. Or whatever they call it with two more idols on stage. It would be surreal but definitely doable with 7. For composers, that’s an easy feat. It would be almost like a Persona Q2 thing, where they bring all 3 idol groups back for a finale. But it would be a total trip of work for the animators to have that many. (And then there’s the future Splatoon 5 concert, with 12 holo idols on stage :) )
I love how Big Man sings in every song in the concert, I wish we could hear him more/better in-game as well.
He is the Artist of the music after all...

Shiver and Frye casually forgetting about wanting to team up with Callie and Marie for a "world tour" and getting mad at them for showing up XD I loved this so much they sounded so good Shiver's vocals give me life

52:14 This is literally the best song I have ever heard in my life. From the salsa piano keys, to the foundational bass and drums, to the impactful synth horns, it's just perfect. It's like every instrument is soloing all at the same time. To whoever mixed this, you need to increase the bass a bit (bassist's bias), but besides that, how on earth did you get this to mix so perfectly?
It's calamari inkantation, even if it's a remix the song is just naturally perfect!

They also did for the Splatoon 2 concerts, it's the Splat 1 that were completely overshadowed by the Sisters

You can never go wrong with a iv-bVII-III-bVI-iim7b5-V-i. Fits really well under that chorus. I once arranged that bit instead with a vi-vi-bVI-bVI-i-i-IV-IV backing, thought it sounded fire. You can do a lot of different things with it.

Did all of them show up? I didn't bother trying to count, and all I really cared about was Tangy showing up. Best girl, she's been my favorite since the Gamecube.

I always love that Nintendo does these live concerts. Hopefully, one day I could go to one. Mainly for Splatoon.
As someone who has attended multiple hatsune miku concerts (which use the exact same tech) I can confirm it’s even more amazing in person!

I believed they actually did one of these during one of the rare EU Nintendo tournaments
No one would go to these in NA. Even Gorillaz had trouble with people paying to see virtual characters that the band members had to reveal themselves.

Less KK, not because KK is bad but because the next version should be in the US and they have three games worth of music to get through. Even a highlights only would be like, City of Color, Maritime Memory, Fresh Start, Wave Goodbye, Nasty Majesty, Fly Octo Fly ~ Ebb and Flow, Into the Light, a song or two from Side Order, Anarchy Rainbow (extended), Til Depth Do Us Part, another Deep Cut track, Calamari Inkantation into 3mix, then getting everyone on stage for Now or Never. And that's assuming no solos! I have to imagine that Animal Crossing characters are a lot easier to animate than cephalings though, they have much simpler movements.

I love seeing both Animal Crossing and Splatoon have a concert together Mario and Zelda may be the biggest Nintendo franchises, but these two are just as special as those I got the switch in 2019 for Christmas in anticipation for Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, and during the long wait for the game I got into AC and Splatoon and it’s been an amazing experience!

The concert holds up 80% KK and 20% Deep Cut with the Squid sisters thrown in there. Beside, Watching a Dog playing a Rap board while 4 animals showing up doing a boring dance does get boring after a while.

I loved catching this live on the Nintendo Japan channel. Had to get up at 5:30 AM, but it was worth it.
