  • Oddly enjoyable to read through the comments. We got people who've found this video for the first time, people who have come back for a while, folk talking about their favorite parts of the video, religious folk leaving their opinions about the video (primarily the beginning), individuals stating how much more effective this has taught them than school, etc, etc. Oh, and don't forget the occasional religious brain-rot. Not everybody is too happy about people with varying beliefs, but it is what it is.

    • Totally. You can search up AP World History Review and get videos reviewing the most important things that are mentioned in this video and more. The best beardos Freemanpedia and Heimler's History have short and entertaining videos on this biggest things in history from the year 1200 to modern day. Crash Course can also be good. As for in-depth explanations, your best bet may be documentaries and Britannica.

At 14:24 it is said that Louis XIV got his head cut off during the french revolution, this is however not true(as I am sure someone already pointed out). Louis XIV, also known as The Sun King, died in 1715 as an absolute monarch. Louis XVI is the king that the video is referring to.

At some point various branches of the family owned Spain, Portugal, Switzerland, the Netherlands, Germany, Austria, Hungary, and Italy. Also parts of France. The rest of Europe felt threatened by them (for good reason, of course), and this led to various wars. On this level of detail the Habsburgs didn't have to be included, but it made sense as it's something a lot of people learned a lot about in school.
