  • I’ve followed Morten Hilmer almost since he started as a youtuber & am so pleased that he is starting to get the attention & recognition he deserves & finally being made a Nikon Ambassador. He is someone that is not just an incredible photographer, but human being, which if you’ve watched his videos will know what I mean. Ricci, for me has put the best promotional Z9 videos out there to date & if I had a question about anything Nikon would ask him. Fantastic video lads, I would personally like to see more videos of Ricci & Morten in the future. ‘Gonna watch it again! 👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏

That happens eventually and the final result looks like an impressionist painting. Thank to Morten´s and Ricci, and of course you Nikon! Salute from Uruguay!

Morten loves nature very much and is a promoter of shooting in difficult conditions. The Nikon Z9 breaks new ground in professional photography. I am waiting for the successor of the Nikon Z6II. I hope it will show up this year.

I bet you anything Ricci noticed it after they posted the video and he is kicking himself... just like if you've ever spent 10-20min trying to get all dust spots off, and then print an image only to realize the faintest dust spot you left behind. Easter egg 😀

  • Morten is a wildlife photographer pursang. He will always prefer a long lens over a short lens. maybe nikon should develop a good compact camera so that a wildlife photographer can also photograph landscapes, but with an iphone 13 max pro you can also take very decent landscape photos.

  • There really is no benefit of a z9 over the Z7 for landscape photography. For Wildlife just buy D500.

    @haydennettleton3272@haydennettleton32722 жыл бұрын
    • I have a D500 which I don’t use for wildlife anymore. I used my Z6 II because of the silent shutter. I have the Z9 and it’s phenomenal. My Z6 II is for landscapes now. This is only because I don’t want to keep changing lenses and rearranging my camera bag layout, I just switch the core units of my bag to what I’m shooting on the day.

      @shay_bun4747@shay_bun47472 жыл бұрын
  • Hey guys, I know marketing is important but I love my DSLRs. This fake viewfinder will never get me to switch. No matter how many frames or which eye detection system you will introduced. This Z9 is nothing more then pure computer. Cheap to make and expensive to sale. There is no one mechanical parts in this camera body. I love my D5 and I don’t feel like I have any limitations with my D5 to get a shot. As a still photographer I don’t really need any video features. Z lenses are pure rip-off and Im glad I have many F glass to choose from.

    @2klember@2klember2 жыл бұрын
    • technology evolves. R&D costs need to be covered so yes marketing is important. I've been very happy with my D5, I've had it for years but if you shoot fast wildlife, the Z9 makes life a lot easier. You get to focus more on composition knowing that the AF just does its thing. It's scary how accurate it is. You just stop focusing on keeping things sharp. In terms of the prices for Z lenses, on average they're a bit lighter and a bit sharper compared to the older generation but I agree they're not twice or three times sharper as is reflected in the price. Again R&D needs to be covered. It's like screen technology. When OLED TVs came out they cost a fortune. I still have plenty of F glass that works brilliantly with the Z9. I did buy a 24-70f4 and I can tell you it's sharper and a lot lighter than both the 2.8 F versions for a fraction of the price. For a landscape shooter a D700 is still plenty. It's a different pace. As for video they had to do it. Everybody's doing it and it's a competitive marketplace. I know wildlife photographers that slowly transitioned into video with the D5 and for a few years it was enough but video never was Nikon's strong suit. You can't blame Nikon for staying competitive. The D5 wasn't exactly cheap when it came out either and it delivered. The Z9 delivers for this day and age.

      @MsFxtrdr@MsFxtrdr Жыл бұрын
  • But never forget the 400mm f2.8Z + Z9 is £20,000! I am absolutely sure a great guy like Morten could nail great shots with a used D500 and a used 70-300f3.5-4 (£1000). There are times Morten and Ricci are carrying £40,000 worth of kit. As a former marketing manager for a global corporation I am sure overselling a £6000 camera with a £14,000 in the current climate actually damages the Nikon brand!
