But then again, perhaps it’s not so surprising that a Japanese brand such as Toyota, would make cars able to survive earthquakes and tsunamis! • Top Gear, with the Top Gear Trio of Hammond, Clarkson, and May, are what I call "desert island programming". It was a show that was broadcast for nearly 15 years, with such incredible writing and acting ability, that if I were stranded on a desert island, Top Gear would be my choice of programming. So many episodes and so many iconic moments, it could last a lifetime. This moment also solidified my admiration for the Toyota Hilux. It is truly an apocalypse truck. I've always carried this footage with me in my mind.

Because of this, there were limited/no space engineering and rocket science careers. So what did all their brilliant minded engineers turn to since there was no further highest level like a NASA equivalent? You guessed it. Cars.

The Civic was done, this got totaled because insurance says its only worth like $5k but all it needed was a fuel pump. We replaced the tank anyway since it got bent, and a hitch woulda saved it. Now with new bumpers on it (for $450) it'll be more likely to survive the next one. Never really was a fan of Jeep, I know of endless issues especially with newer ones, but damn is that thing going.
