  • I remember my first time watching a Snake Discovery video. It was one of Brad’s egg laying video when they were still in there basement! I am SO proud of Snake Discovery and how far they’ve come! They work so hard to give us good content and I am really grateful!

    • The first video I saw was one of 2 hatching videos (that I know of) where they forgot to say that the blood was because of the veins along the inside of the egg. I caught on, but there was a brief moment of shock for sure.

  • The older (human) women are, the higher their chances of having fraternal twins. It's almost like the body is saying, your reproductive life is almost up so let's make the most of it and release two eggs! Might be the same case with Brad :)

  • If you place a strip of polyester microfiber over the top of the eggs and buried both ends in perlite, the cloth will wick up moisture and create a humidity bridge over the eggs. The benefit would be that polyester doesn’t break down so it’s better for long term moisture control. Thought this might be a helpful tip for inflating sunken eggs. I grow orchids in inorganic media like leca or perlite, I use microfiber strips to wick water from a reservoir into my pots. The wicks constantly stay moist, and nearly a year later, they are still functional.

  • Brad is just the best! What a trooper getting all those eggs out. Hopefully at least most of them end up viable. I know she's getting up there in years, and I think we'll all be very sad to see her go when her time comes, but she's been such a wonderful snake and awesome mama during her time here. ❤️

  • Fun mineral fact: Calcite and aragonite in nature do crystalise into star-like forms, especially in cave environments. So the "star" on the egg is probably just a bit of extra special calcium :3

    • I know..... I have only met one person that goes by Bradley and that was a boy and I have met a bunch of guys that just go by Brad and that's it but for Bradley only one but I have heard that it could be a unisex name but I don't know about that I'm just going to stick with it's a guy's name and that's it so when I subbed to the channel and I heard them use that name for the first time I thought they were talking about a male snake but they were talking about a female snake and it threw me all off and it still does sometimes
