it’s so sad to actually hear the fear in emily’s voice when she heard that brad had a cancerous tumour. i wish u guys all the best and for brad to stay with us for as long as she can 💚💚
She is a survivor. Brad-ley the fighting vehicle!
I Hope she dosen't suffer😢
It doesn't sound like they tested it, so I'm going to stay over here in denial, hoping it's just a benign growth they didn't get all of the first time.
@@kimberlyrichardson5943 honestly it is possible to get benign tumors either in the same spot because they didn’t get all of it the first time or in different spots sometimes. Without sending it for pathology they won’t know for certain. Also hoping it’s benign 🤞🏽🤞🏽🤞🏽
Wasn't it a different Spot, than 1.? Looked well encapsulated, a good Sign. Maybe genetic. Means it could reappear anytime with need for removal as soon it causes Problems. Our Dog had fatty Grows underneath the Skin, you could move them a bit. One got cut out, bad Spot, to big. Others, he kept cause they didn't bother him. Died 16 years of Age..
Aww Brad... Poor girl. I hope she lives a happy, comfortable life for many more years to come in your care.
i agree love you brad

@@maruiacancercI'm so sorry to hear that. I wish you the best
@@user-mw8oo1sl6t We all love brad
Wow, those snakes are why you’re old and I love snakes I got a plush named flower I named her flower she’s not really real or like alive or nothing. She doesn’t really do nothing but know what matter what I will bring her anywhere, even if I don’t want to, there’s snakes are really, though they’re fast when they attack but that baby one was so cute when they bite do they even hurt when they bite I never got bitten by a snake or a mosquito
I really appreciate that Emily always says "yup, he's moving" when she does the poke test, because I can *never* see movement haha, and it lets me know they're okay! Reminds me of the story of when Mr. Rogers got a letter from a blind viewer who thought he forgot to feed his fish one episode because he didn't say anything, so going forward he'd always say it out loud when he was feeding them. Edit: aww, poor Brad. :( Hopefully she just continues as she has - a tumor every couple of years, gets it removed, is unfazed by the surgery, and just keeps bullsnakin' around til she's an old old lady. :)
I feel like Mr. Rogers would absolutely invite Emily to do a guest spot if he were still with us, get those loving vibes there. "See kids, snakes might seem scary, but they're kind too"
Emily's vision is based on movement.
"Just keeps bullsnakin' around til she's an old old lady..." That made me grin. I'm with you on having to take it on faith that Emily is right that babies in the egg are actually moving when she pokes them in the shell. 'Cuz half the time, when she announces "Yup, he's moving!" I can't see any movement at all. Sometimes, I'll spot a twitch, but most of the time... nuthin'.
@@philippak7726 He'd definitely do a segment about respecting all the creatures around us, including reptiles. Even if he himself didn't like snakes, given what he did for other 'unpopular' causes of his time

The fact every time Emily opens an egg she sounds so surprised that there’s a baby in it
You never know with snake eggs. The egg could look bad but hatch a good baby or vise versa and much more.
@@amya-kit.Conner.version- yeah it looks like all of the eggs Emily was unsure about hatched, and as she said there were 19 eggs one of them must have been twins, because there was 20 babies!
@@SevCaswell I counted 20 eggs right after she cut them open (not including the really moldy one) :D though one was kinda hidden!
yes totally very likely to hatch a dinosaur /j
So true is so funny
I adore the first hatch that just strikes every time you pick up a sibling
Total oldest sibling behavior. Don't mess with my little sibling or else.
@lisanickerson4788 Oh absolutely! Definitely my relationship with my older siblings
@@EssiBrownlee I am the oldest and when I was a kid I punched my brother's bully in his nose. I felt bad about it for years, but recently his mom thanked me for it because it turned him around and he stopped being a bully.
@@lisanickerson4788 That's awesome. You sound like a great older sibling. Mine were always super protective of me. They still are, but know I can usually hold my own
@@EssiBrownlee thank you. He can hold his own now, but I am still protective...
As someone who worked as a cashier and in the plumbing department at Menards, buying so many PVC caps at one time is def not the weirdest/funniest thing that cashier has seen. People buy strange item combos a lot more than you'd think, especially at Menards since they have a lot of odd items for a home improvement store. And if you have trouble getting enough, talk to the plumbing manager and see if they can order you a whole box.
Ooooh that's a really good idea
The way Ed just said “it’s cancer” so calmly while Emily got sad was so shocking to me. Ed was so chill while he was just like “yeah, it’s cancer”
for real, I thought he was memeing!
It makes sense to me, he already had time to process it and come to terms yk? This was Emily’s first time hearing it, so obviously she’s going to be more upset than Ed :’)
Everyone deals with/delivers bad news differently. Emily was a lot more relieved after she found out it was skin cancer and not in her bloodstream. The way Ed said it was like it should have been obvious, given the fact that this wasn't a one-off issue, which makes sense.
It was so…disturbing? to hear at first. I mean it makes sense, I’ve said things that are extremely disturbing calmly after I processed it. It was just kinda scary to hear.
Jeez Ed way to break the news gently. I mean come on my man. Sorry about Brad you guys. She’s a tough noodle
I've recently become homeless for the second time and this channel has been a life saver, literally. When I don't know where to go or who I can trust, I come here. I've rewatched all of your videos and they've been really helpful. I'm so grateful for all Snake Discovery does, thank you. You've been an incredible friend.
I hope the best for you!
Sending you lots of love and strength ❤️😔
i‘m so sorry that happened to you a SECOND time, hope this hard time will pass
God blesse you ❤❤❤❤❤❤
Godspeed, I hope your situation improves very soon.
You guys should definitely do a full reptile tour at 3mil subscribers!!!
Yess
It’d be so cool to get an updated overview of all of the new animals, all of the holdback babies, etc and 3mil is a perfect opportunity to do it!!
yes!!
that would be so awesome!
Yeeeeeeeesssss❤❤❤❤❤
Watching Emily hear that Brad has cancer was heart breaking. That initial shock moment. Glad Brad has owners that will keep her fat and happy the rest of her life tho
She will keep herself fat XD
Sadly Brad is no longer with us. She passed a couple of months ago, not long after Jupiter passed.
Aw, RIP Bradley. I hate that you only made it a few more months after this. But you have left a wonderful, spicy legacy behind you.
Mad respect to cancer survivors. No matter how many legs they may, or may not, have.
Yes I agree
My granddaughter (age 8) has been a big fan of this channel for a couple of years now. Today I took her on a road trip to Snake Discovery. She loved it, and she got to meet Emily. Even though Emily was obviously very busy, she stopped to ask my granddaughter her name and thank her for being a fan of the channel. Thank you! It made her day! We'll try to come back on an official meet & greet day, hopefully to get a photo. Great to see it in person. Well worth the long drive.
I really love the almost cheetah spotted one on the far right at 16:09. They really drew my attention while Emily and Ed were looking at the colorful ones~
Oh dang! That's a really cool pattern!
The one with the head markings was awesome. It reminded me of some ancient Mayan or Egyptian symbol. I would maybe name it Pharoh or something similar, lol.
Stay strong Brad, and live a happy life even with many future surgeries! This aged like milk
Yes
How old is she?
Unfortunately Brad passed a couple of months ago. It spread to her kidneys and she couldn't keep any food down.
@@jedimasters1462 WAIT NOOOOOO
@@TheCelestialFox Yeah. It was really sad to hear. 😥
Adorable babies. Sorry about Brad’s cancer though :( Happy to see that her surgery doesn’t seem to be slowing her down at all. Happy healing vibes to the beautiful mama!
Let’s take a moment to appreciate all the hard work that Emily and Ed take to make all these awesome videos❤

Wait, was there a set of twins, or am I going crazy? Emily counted 19 eggs, but there were 20 healthy babies at the end! Sad to hear about Brad. I hope she still has many years left with you guys. 🐍
I went back and I counted 20 eggs so she might have just miscounted
Emily's unending enthusiasm for baby snakes gives me life.
I wish you a speedy and pain-free recovery, Brad. ❤
Me too
Oh Emily's shock and pain when Ed told her it was cancer. It doesn't matter how many animals you have or how long you have them. It's still always a blow. And to find out on camera was very raw. ❤
I see "baby bullsnakes hatching" and I get excited. See "extra spicy" and I almost start squealing! Those are the BEST babies!
Yup
BABIE SEASON IS THE BEST I LOVE SEEING ALL THE DIFFERENT BREEDS AND ALL THE DIFFERENT VARIETIES IN THE BREEDS

I think there must have been twins - didn’t Emily count 19 eggs? And 20 babies? Brad is so beautiful! I’m really sorry she’s got cancer, she’s got the best home she could ever have with you two!❤
I was thinking with one of those really big eggs that it looked like it might be twins!
@@theincarnationofboredom207 - that’s what I was thinking too! The really big round one in the corner would’ve been my guess (but 2 were bigger)😊
I caught that too!!!!
I was looking for this comment
@@torir.french5791 I think there were two sets of twins. she had 19 eggs and 20 babies but one egg went bad. so 18 eggs for 20 babies.
Heres to hoping that Brad has many many more years of quality life with you. I lost my first breeder female this year do to gastro cancer. She didnt show any signs before passing.
Fear not Emily. Im sure Brad will be with you for many more years to come. You always make the right decisions when it comes to your legless children. It may not be our forever but it is Brad's forever. She'll continue to be your happy bull snake, she's not suffering or in pain or slowed down any which proves she's still okay. Im sure if it comes to that you'll make the tough but right decision for her, and its okay so show sadness none of us will judge you for we love Brad too. Even I got nervous for her.
I hope Brad keeps doing well! And doesn’t get too many tumors that her body can’t handle it
Poor Bradley 😢 Emily starting to tear up when Ed said it was cancer broke my heart. You’re gonna be totally fine Brad I just know it and congratulations on your beautiful babies!!!
Resting Snake Face needs to be a shirt design! 😂
Anyone count the strikes of the first baby? 😂 I love how she’s just ignoring him the whole time with the eggs! 🤣 “Stop movin lady and lemme bite you more!” Ps brad says to feed her more
The first baby that hatched has a smiley face on its head :)
I'm sorry to hear about Brad's cancer diagnosis! Glad she's in good spirits. You didn't mention it so I'm not sure if you realized but there were 19 eggs and 20 babies which means there were twins in this clutch.
i’ve made it a habit to yell the uh, “corresponding words” upon hearing Brad and Janet’s names, keeping up with the Rocky Horror tradition 😂
I was terrified of snakes until i found this channel!! There was one on my back porch the other day and i didnt even freak out! I love watching these little babies! ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Lucky you finding a snake
@@lisaderosier6390 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Same I was 8 when u learned they are nice. Now I pick up snakes brads size in the wild- (I actually picked up a bullsnake about brads size-)
OMG Me too! I found a snake-garter, I think-in a flower bed recently, and a year ago I would run screaming into the house. This time I just went oh cool a garter snake! Now I look for him every time I go out there. I saw him-her?-one other time. I put a container of water there cause it’s so dry here, it’s empty every day.
So exciting that all the babies hatched even the two suspicious eggs! Especially as all the snakelets look like they are strong and healthy without any defects or underdeveloped features.
I love the yearly reapeat of the eggs blood vessels, ive listened to it every year for like 4 years, shows they care for new audiences
I’m so sorry that Brad is going to have this ongoing condition, but glad that it’s only the skin layer and manageable. She is a tank of a mom and deserves all the tasty food.
More babies!!!! This is gonna be such a great year!
You realize you are going to get flooded with “Get Well Brad” presents. We all want a live gift opening. It has been a while
So sorry to hear about Brad. She seems like a fighter, I’m sure she will defy all the odds. 🐍
BRADLEY!! I'm sorry to hear about your health condition. Hoping to see at least one more Brad clutch before she is retired to enjoy the rest of her years as a wonderful example of how amazing bullsnakes actually are!
My family lost 3 pets within one year to cancer (2 of which were mine), it was a really bad streak for us. One of them was my corn snake who was such a sweet boy, I had him ever since the day he hatched. I can imagine how you feel Emily, it's so sad to watch your beloved animal decline in health. Wishing all the best for Brad!
I’ve never lost a pet to cancer, that’s really unfortunate. I couldn’t fathom loosing my dogs or my corn snake. Wishing you the best!
Poor Brad I hope she's around for a long time, she's one of my favourites and I'm always excited to see her babies. I always secretly hope they hang on to some of her babies (I know they do have some grown holdbacks but I'd love to see more especially since she'd had babies from 3 different males now).
Brad's babies are always overachievers!!! Good job Brad!
Brad's last babies 💚 The last adoptathon stream showed her for the last time (toward the end of anyone wants to watch). They were talking about euthanizing her within the week so she is very like passed now- back with Janet at last 💚
My Crestie unfortunately passed away this morning, and I was watching this video, but later today I re-watched and I feel a little better. Thanks Emily and Edd.
So great to know how much you love and care for your scale babies.
It's interesting to note that when you were cutting the eggs, and some of the mold egg babies had cloudy liquid and big yolks, such that you were really worried, those babies all made it out of the eggs. Brad makes tanky babies! Hang in there, cancer-survivor Brad! Keep tankin!
The brown saddled baby is lovely. Crossing fingers for Brad to live a happy life for as long as she can!
Oh! You did such a good job of keeping it together when discussing Brad's surgery.
21:43 "You're gonna have a good life because you're ✨pretty✨". Truer words have never been spoken. 🤣
I'm so sorry for you Emily. I can see that it was some distressing news. Please know that we are all here sending good energy to you all.
I'm today's year old learning that snakes can get cancer and Brad is beautiful. May she live a long and good life. ❤❤❤❤
This is my favorite time of year because it's when all of Snake Discovery hatching videos come out!
ED! Stop calling those babies boring and ugly! They're adorable!🥰
I hope Brad’s able to live a happy life whether or not she gives us more babies. Get well soon Brad! 😢❤
I'm only 15 minutes in, and these seem to be Brad's most chill clutch ever! Wouldn't even guess these were her's just based on the tude 🤣
Truly the most wonderful and cute time of the year ☺☺🐍. Quen Brad back at it again Edit: That lil overachiever is sasssyyy
I could watch you guys do laying & hatching videos endlessly! Maybe with some updates scattered throughout. Perfection 😁
Do not underestimate the rage of a baby bullsnake
The first born is like my cat, a big help (biting when I do something)
I hope Brad gets well soon. But I think Ed has chosen his favourite, and if you're going to hold any back I think it's it's chosen 😂
Brad couldn't have a more loving family. She's such a lovely snake. Her babies are absolutely gorgeous.
Just wondering if anyone else caught this but there were twins! Emily said 19 eggs (3:40) at the start then 20 babies were the count(17:40) Which of the babies shared the egg???😂
I heard that too❤
Same!!
the first spicy baby that came out, or emily miscounted. if there were twins they wouldve said
Sending love to Brad's family and Friends as they deal with her diagnosis, but Brad's tough.. she got this! ❤❤❤❤❤❤
I'm sorry to hear about Brad. Here's to more years with her.
I'm so so sorry about brad, i hope she will be okay. Wishing all luck to you and brad ❤❤😭😭
I love how Ed just picked his fave right away and dissmissed the sibling as boring 😂
Babies!!!!!! I wish Brad a quick and easy recovery. Sorry she has cancer though….
I like how the entire time you were cutting the eggs, that one baby spent the whole duration in the corner spitting and booping you with its nose.
Aww man poor Bradley 😢. Glad she gets such good care ❤
I never knew how tiny these snakes really are until today! They must be the best part of the job, besides getting little love kisses from very spicy pasta noodles. Poor Brad though; hopefully she'll have a peaceful, food-filled rest of her life.

Hi Emily , Me and me kids love Your channel. My Son (5y/o)is getting a jumping spider because of you video he is so in love with them, my daugter(12y/o) a bearded dragon. I have had them when I was growing up. Thanks for educating us better. Greetings from the Netherlands
I love the one baby just playing on the edge of the bin
Love it when you cut the eggs and we get the first glimpse of a little life.
So great that all of them ended up hatching, even the ones that seemed questionable. Love to see so many healthy babies!!
I love their videos and how spicy the baby’s are 😂
Praying for BRAD! Ive been on this channel for about 5-6 years now and Brad is my favorite
I'd love to bring to others attention the amazing teamwork you two as a couple have . You have an amazing business and a great relationship. Keep up the great work.
Babies! Lov your videos as always 😊 Soo.. one thing I had noticed, not sure if anybody does, but Brad’s had 20 babies.. while there are only 19 viable eggs in the beginning of the video. Could it be she had twins in one of them? The big one maybe?
I noticed that as well
i believe Emily just miscounted at the start - there's 20 good eggs, including the one that the already hatched baby came from, at the end of cutting them (with the extra 1 bad egg) a few of them were hidden underneath the rest so could have easily been forgotten about/not noticed until getting there, or she was counting ones that hadn't fully hatched yet, since there's 1 baby already out of the egg
@@fluffyfeathers2124 you're right I went back to 12:45 and counted the eggs 😅
@@fluffyfeathers2124 oh yea I forgot about the first one 😂 thx for reminding me
Brads babies are always the spiciest babies, and they’re so cute ❤❤❤❤ 🐍 Also if anyone has an argument to convince my parents to get me a snake please tell me And one more thing, one of the first 4 snakes you help seemed to have a lump down its body that looked lake it ate something but I assumed you hadn’t fed them yet, it might just be my eyes but if you haven’t already noticed it I just wanted to let you know
If your parents don’t want a snake in the house, there’s not much you can do. If they don’t think you’re responsible, then keep on top of chores, make sure to take care of any pets you might already have, and do a lot of research and tell them about it so they know that you care about the noodle’s well being. Decide what type of snake you want, maybe save up some money to help pay for it. Research where to get its food and how to set up the enclosure
Easiest pet with upkeep, you can still go on holy day no problem. So for me, a lazy person, best pet to have. Can be pet, but doesn't have to, very interesting and unique and special. Doesn't need a lot of food either, so also affordable upkeep costs. Very cute danger noodles without being actually dangerous. Live long enough, but not too long. They are just right ❤ Good luck!
They might also hear snake and immediately think of a Boa or large breed, so maybe start with a smaller breed and let them know it's max size.
Might be a fear response. People hear the word snake and have a visceral reaction. If that is the case you can ask them if you can go to a reptile show. Show them first hand they aren't slimy mean creatures and are just misunderstood. Have them participate in the watching of snake discovery videos if they fear snakes work up to those videos and instead start out with their helping stuff and maybe egg videos. If fear is not the issue and it is financial here are your talking points: -How much less frequent a snake has to be fed compared to dogs and cats. -location to buy food along with price. -cost for maintenance: substrate, cleaning supplies, lightbulb replacements - cost for enclosure, enrichment, water dish, cave, etc. -explain the type of enclosure do you want to have a bioactive setup? This can negate soil replacement, but you might have to do maintenance for the cleaning crews. If they think you are just going to get old of the animal prove responsibility (as stated) The last point is if none of these are the issue I suggest asking what the concerns are and doing the research to address each and every concern. If it still is not enough you might have to wait until you move out.
I saw the lump and wondered if it had a kinked spine. that can happen. But normally, if it ws a king, it won't effect the qualify of life for the snake. Severe kinks are a different story. What I was curious about was the fact that they said they had 19 eggs, AND they seemed to have several "iffy" eggs/babies, AND they had those gnats.... which means that there some who didnot hatch. The question I've is.... how many viable eggs were there, and how many eggs had babies inside, and then figure out if there were any twin babies
We love you Brad 🖤🖤🐍 Here's to many more years 🤞🏼🤞🏼🤞🏼
I love how honest Ed is “that one’s boring” 😂
I am sitting here in almost tears reading the comments. May Brad live for many more years before she finally joins Janet. Edit: Guys, several eggs with mold that was treated with Lotramin have survived for you guys over the years, I am pretty sure. Edit 2: And I did indeed cry when it got to the point in the video when the announcement was made.
The fear in Emily’s eyes when Ed said it was cancer is killing me. I hope for many more years with brad ❤️.
