In today's video, we picked up an abandoned boa constrictor that we were told "might already be dead". My finger fit INSIDE his ribcage, he was so thin. We also suspect a collapsed lung... Watch as we bring Christian back to health!

I really respect the landlord who was trying to care for the snake. They didn't know what they were doing but were really trying and that is what counts.
Same, when I heard that they'd at least tried and called Snake Discovery, I was like "They did the right thing."
I wonder how they knew to call Snake Discovery, when they didn't think of googling 'boa constrictor care and feeding'
@@octochan I think they said in the beginning that the landlord didn’t know what type of snake he is. And I assume since they are local it may have been easy for them to find out about snake discovery by google or word of mouth.
No way. Landlord should have phoned animal services. Instead, he more or less perpetuated the abuse and neglect by not intervening
@@Stegosoreness some areas don't have good animal services or are so underfunded that they just can't do anything. that could have even been why they knew to contact snake discovery.
I will never understand people who can leave behind their pets and just abandon them. So lucky that they contacted you guys so this beauty could have a second chance 💜
Its like kids...idk why people would have them and not care of them...such a sad world. Lucky there ARE people who care.
Ik right 8 can nearly leave my cat to go to school every day 😢
I used to think this way but I've come to take a step back and try to understand other people's circumstances. Like we don't know if the pet owner got cancer and didn't tell anyone, or if they're going through depression and lost the will to care. I want to give people the benefit of the doubt so I don't lose hope in humanity. I'm so glad that Christian got the help he needed.❤
@@JaNeLLeJuSTiNeI agree, and honestly with this one he clearly was loved at one point and handled a lot.
yea
I didn’t even know snakes could survive to the point of having a hallow area anywhere. This is infuriating and so sad. I’m glad this boa was released into your hands and saved
Yea that’s crazy
There is a reason snakes have existed as long as they have in basically the same 'form'. Unless they catch a disease, they're pretty ridiculously hard to kill. (To a point, of course, but they'll survive to an insane point... sometimes with literally no sign something ever even happened.)
Stuck eye caps are no joke. I have a glossy snake in my care who's missing her left eye because somebody got too overzealous about "helping" her shed. She also had a good deal of stuck shed around her head and neck, and a stuck cap on her right eye, but after I took over her care and changed up her living situation for the better, she's all cleared up and doing great now. She's really a sweetheart, too!
Please tell me that they got thoroughly schooled and told that they don't always need help with their shed
Aww
It’s amazing how much abuse and neglect reptiles can survive. I enjoyed that the snake felt well enough to escape the bath. I hope Christian enjoys his retirement home.
Reptiles are extreemly hardy. Thats the denefit of simpler bodies, cold blood and limited mental capability. Especially the cold blood helps, a this way they can reduce their metabolism to a degree that would kill a warm blooded creature. All these do come with downsides though. Obvious ones.
For real... I ended taking in a very neglected bearded dragon who not only had a massive cyst in-between her eye and nose, but she was egg bound to such an extent her reproductive tract ruptured and she had free floating eggs in her body cavity. The vet and I were gobsmacked and wondered how this poor girl didn't die of sepsis. Thankfully after surgery, she recovered and she lived another 3 full years of beardie goodness. We had no idea how old she was, but we suspected she was an older beardie, much like this boa in the video.
A former neighbor of mine had a habit of renting out rooms in his place to essentially have his tenants take care of the place so he didn't have to do anything and could just sit around and be lazy while also getting paid at the same time. His first tenant was actually a really cool guy, we talked a lot. I noticed when stepping out of my house one day that there was a horrible rotting smell coming from their house and went over to make sure everything was okay. It was so bad that if no one answered the door, I would have called the police to do a wellness check to make sure no one had died inside the house. The cool tenant answered the door though and told me that the owner had a pet snake that he had apparently starved to death and the smell was the snake. It was a small snake too (he showed me a video he sent to the owner) so it was hard to imagine it smelling that badly. Taking care of the owner's pets in his room was the one thing his tenants didn't do. I think he had 3 more snakes that died after that, before he eventually moved away. I could always tell when another one had died because of the smell. The cool tenant did try taking care of them after the first one died, but he didn't really know how to take care of snakes. We tried to get his pets taken away from him after it became obvious he was neglecting them, but nothing was ever done about it as far as I'm aware. After watching so many Snake Discovery videos, it's astonishing to think that he actually neglected them to the point of death, seeing how much they can bounce back from. To this day, I have never smelled anything that smells as bad as a dead snake.
@@spectralumbra1568thankfully, I've not smelled that smell yet... my oldest snake is about 6 years old. BUT one of my boas, purchased from a shady Mom n Pop pet shop, regurgitated a 2-week old meal (if their records were accurate) in our car on the way home! OMFG it was awful. Our conclusion to this is, his in-store temps, humidity and uvb were SERIOUSLY lacking, and thank GOD he regurged that meal! It wasn't digested and we're still amazed he kept it down so long, and didn't d1e because of it! But... Maxwell, possibly an IMG, is now doing VERY well, over a year later. We took it VERY slow, gave him a proper setup (and plenty of water) and waited 2 weeks to feed him. Now he CRUSHES his meals, keeps them down, sheds well, and is the sweetest snake! He's never regurged since. Sucks that we gave THAT business our money, but we're glad we did. God only knows what might've happened! That store is now under new management, thankfully... but before, we used to seriously contemplate rescuing some of their animals (even thought about buying a frilly to have it euthanized). The boa looked perfect though, so that adventure was a complete surprise. No regrets though, he's beautiful 💕
@@Sarcasmic That's crazy that she lived. I remember seeing a fish that was suspected to have dropsy, you could tell she had ballooned up and squeezing her would release fluid out of her. Eventually she had to be put down, and the owner did an autopsy and said that she was egg bound and her reproductive tract had ruptured as well.
For how miserable he must have been, he was incredibly docile and pleasant... He must've been feeling so much better immediately, with you two taking care of him.
It's hard to be spicy when you have literally no energy. Poor snake.
I honestly do believe that some animals are aware when they are being helped and I feel like Christian knew he was in a better place with the Snake Discovery team :)
Poor guy was probably too weak to be defensive, luckily these hoomans were very nice to him
This snake was clearly well raised and socialized, it's perfectly content to be handled and rescued and even seems to be finding happiness in its own snakey way
God only knows what it took to leave him abandoned. So happy the landlords finally called them & didn't just drop him at a pound.
Yeah, I wonder if he had previous owners before he was abandoned or if he'd only had the one owner
@@SharkSnoot This was my thought.
Snake was like “wanna see my cool party trick?” As they were checking his tummy to see how far he’s gotten 😂 AH I’m so happy y’all found him, that poor baby needed someone like y’all 🥰
It’s like he was trying to convince them to give him some snacks! Like he was going “what do you mean I’m looking better, look how thin I am”
😂😂
He is like what do you mean doing better I need food.
I don’t think I’ve ever seen such a deep concave on a snake’s belly, poor thing. It genuinely brought a tear to my eye to see how beautiful and gentle Christian was, despite his initial condition. I hope he continues to heal and thrive ❤
ugh same! i did the whole hand to mouth shocked face, never seen such a thing but could of only imagined the kind of malnutrition/starving that would of left so much damage or stunting
I had to double check if it was real, didn’t know a snake’s stomach could do that, but holy cow, poor thing.. :(
@DazombieAlien The reason it _can_ do that is because a snakes ribs go along it's back instead of their front, it's also why you can see his heart beating However it is, as said in the video, _incredibly_ unhealthy and can be a result of a collapsed lung
That is a gentle, loving snake. I am glad he is going home with someone who knows how to care for him. Christian will live the rest of his years in a loving home. Thank goodness, kind people exist. The landlord for trying his best and when realizing the tenant wasn't coming to get him, reaching out to you all who he knew could help Christian best. I love his battle wounds. They tell a story and show how much of a transformation he made and the strength to do it. He is like the Terminator! ❤🎉
Same, my mouth dropped from shock
I'm so impressed with how good of a boy he is, even abused and starving and blind.
Agreed, I couldn’t believe it
Honestly she was probably relieved when they started shedding her skin and petting her. Plus the low energy from not eating 😢 im glad she’s getting help
@@Rug4he's a male.
@@lcoq19it doesn’t matter…… they’re a snake.
@@ienjoymethit doesnt matter, i dont consider you human.
This poor darling, he was so calm and patient. He knew he was finally getting care. I was literally tensed up and grinding teeth watching the beginning of this video. He’s recovered so beautifully. Years ago I rescued some animals which had been abandoned by meth addicts who were evicted, and a landlord said if I came in and cleaned, I could keep what I wanted. I got the coolest pet rat I ever had there. The lady said “she bites!”…she was starving! I found some cheerios for her and we were friends for life.❤ So glad this baby is in good hands. I needed to see him eat something.❤ You said you wished it was a dramatic change but this was the worst shape I’ve ever seen a boa in. It’s beautiful that you’ve taken an animal on the brink of death; starved, dehydrated, cold, layered in dead skin and almost blinded, and now he’s happy, almost fully recovered, eating well, healing. Thank you so much.❤
Longest comment (gives imaginary credit)
Yes, I’m sooo happy you rescued him, no animal or human deserves to suffer . He didn’t even have water ! I’m so glad he’s going to be happy in his forever home now ❤️
Rats are awesome pets!
He's such a handsome grandpa snake! Really lovely colouring. I gasped and covered my mouth when you showed that hollow!
What a sweet old man. So glad he gets to spend his twilight years being taken care of.
he literally looks golden when he's all shed, incredible! feel so bad for the collapsed lung but im glad he's doing so well overall
Hes so pretty
😢
This one actually made me cry. He was literally skin and bones, his enclosure was terrible, and his body was probably starting to shut down at that point. Thank you for helping him recover and find a retirement home that will take care of him
At least the people there tried to feed it and help it. It’s really sad
I was trying to hold in my tears but when I saw the heart beating through his skin I started crying
So great the landlord called when they realized the former tenant wasn't coming back for the snake, and did their best to care for it in the meantime. This is what a society that cares about animals does and it's great, good job!
I mean...that's a super charitable take. They did the bare minimum they could so an angry former tenant wouldn't flip out and sue, very likely tossed a live mouse in there with him (you can't tell me a person that put a reptile under a non-heated lamp bought frozen mice and it explains the scarring perfectly) and only called a rescue when they thought he was dead and weren't willing to touch a snake to check. Like...this is not what a society that cares about animals does, this was literally less effort than throwing him in the trash.
i religiously love non-venomous big snakes (and venomous but man theyre scary) i feel so bad for it, theyre always so sweet and friendly, im glad your taking great care of this poor baby
My jaw hit the floor when you showed his undercarriage, that poor baby! I didn't know that could happen to a snake. I also didn't know that snakes can get catatacts. Thank you for saving him, I hope he's still doing well 🙏 🤎
I actually have a very old hognose who is blind from cataracts. Her vet said it just happens to extremely old snakes sometimes. Because she’s entirely blind, she’s very nervous so I don’t change her enclosure at all anymore and do much less enrichment and mostly do cleanings that involve picking and scooping instead of redoing the enclosure entirely. But she’s still eating and likes to explore as long as things are exactly the same.
The way I cried when I saw how skinny he was. I'm so glad he found a good home with a knowledgeable, caring owner. I'm glad the roommates of the soggy poptart who abandoned him contacted y'all. Thank you everyone there for taking care of him. Y'all are such an amazing resource to have in this world.
I don’t know how people can treat animals that way. How can people look into their widdle eyes and NOT see another being who can feel and suffer? Thank you so much for the hard work you do!
Same here. I was crying for the poor baby. So skinny😭
I flinched and looked away. I’m not squeamish, and I love animal bones, but seeing a LIVE ANIMAL with their rib cage fully exposed (and there being a huge ident where you can put your whole god damn finger in it) is so, yuck
My heart broke
The soggy pop tart 😂
He is such a handlable snake. And he looked BEAUTIFUL by the end! Night and day, honestly!! He still has some problems but I'm so relieved to hear he is going to a fellow reptile lovers home and can live out the rest of his days happy and healthy.
The fact that he wasn't reacting when you were taking off the layers of skin shed shows that he knew that you were trying to help. Truly amazing how much trust he was putting into you guys. Really makes me proud to be a watcher of your channel!
It might not have been the "perfect" ending you wanted, but I'm certain it's a perfect beginning to a new life for him. He looks so much more animated and colorful at the end and there's no doubt that a lot of love and care went into getting him healthy again. You guys are amazing, both the Snake Discovery team and all the Patreon backers, without you many of these beautiful animals wouldn't get a second chance. Thank you for all that you do.
This is heartbreaking. I don’t know how anyone could do this to an a snake. Poor baby. Thank you for rescuing him!
I'm in the uk , earlier this year someone abandoned their poor beardie by the side of the road. How cruel😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢
There was the abandonment, but also people who were not equipped to care for him properly after he was abandoned, which cause additional neglect.
How anyone could do this to ANY animal is beyond belief!
I don’t think they intentionally neglected it, they just didn’t have the materials or knowledge to care for it
@Lokitellus no, they didn't, but they had no idea of how to care for him, and they didn't seem to research how to care for him. The live rat that scarred his face might have been from them. They knew he ate rats but didn't know about frozen thawed.
O M G. I almost cried when i saw how skinny he was... and all the stuck shed...no one should ever neglect a reptile like this.
Im really happy that an intern is adopting him. He really deserves a lot of love after what he's been through
Seeing your ability to save him from a very slow, painful death is why I support the patreon. I can't physically help, but nothing is more gratifying than saving the lives of others who deserve a second chance.
All that matters is that he's better now 💚 Doesn't matter if he doesn't look 'perfect' - he's perfect for himself! What a big sweetheart, I hope we get to see another quick update on him further down the line.
it makes him unique 😊 and just knowing his backstory, how could you not love the not so little guy!
Christian looks so much better. Poor guy, he went through a hard time. I’m so glad you were able to save him.
You can see how much more energy he has at the end of the video. Poor guy, he probably feels so much better now
I think for Christian, this is his perfect rescue ending. He had some of the absolute best rescuers taking care of him and getting him all he needed to feel good again, and he'll be going to a good, caring retirement home that will know just what he needs. ☺ The improvement in his colors and his weight and overall health was still incredible to see, very grateful he made it to you.
😮❤
Oh God, the shot of his sunk-in belly was so heartbreaking
I’ve never seen such a skinny snake. My Lordt. And even just getting a warm bath and removing his stuck shed he’s definitely sooo thankful. He feels so much better already and knows he’s being helped! The difference in his color with a proper shed and some nourishment is amazing. He’s lovely!
I've seen videos of emaciated cats, dogs and horses but never a snake. He very lucky that you rescued him.
That's how we got our Sulley! Our friends were contracted to clean out a foreclosed house and found him. It breaks my heart to see anything suffering & snakes take a long time to die 😭 Thanks for helping this poor baby!
I had a friend that moved in to an apartment where he discovered an abandon python. He became a loving owner of the surpris pet. He was furious with the former owner.
I understand that you can't share every recuse, especially how long it takes them to heal and some unfortunately don't make it, but I really enjoy hearing their stories and how they bounce back. So glad Christian is doing well and hope that others heal and find their forever home.
Maybe they should start a shorts series so they can share a little bit of information on every case like this. Maybe hosted by someone else? Maybe an employee of theirs?
As an old lady I can understand a bit how hard it must have been for him. Bless you both.
Just found this channel and it reminds me that I ALMOST had a beautiful lavender boa years ago. A family was living in their car... in February... in Minneapolis... and they were keeping the snake in the trunk. When I found out about it (they were friends with my BFF's family), I spent an entire night slowly rewarming it by just holding it. Not sure it was the right technique but it was the only available option and the poor thing was so cold it literally couldn't move for HOURS. By the next afternoon, it appeared to be doing great and I was in heaven. Then they came back and insisted on taking it with them again. Within a month, it was dead because they were stubborn and stupid.
Damn!
That's simultaneously sad and interesting how concave a snake can get. Glad he's going to a good home. :)
OMG I absolutely did NOT expect the underside of that poor snake! I can't believe the body can get so concave and still be alive!
I'm not a snake person, and I'm not a not snake person, but I feel for animals which have been abused, no matter who they are. If he has a collapsed lung, can that be corrected? I am so glad to see him looking more like a boa. He looks happy too. You all are a blessing! Thanks for doing what you do for these animals which often don't have someone who cares about them.
I believe like kidneys, snakes only need one lung. Iirc. So with how risky anesthesia is with reptiles anyway, and his likely old age, it's prob just not worth it to fix rn.
So glad there are people like you guys to take care of situations like this. I'll be honest, I'm NOT a snake person, stumbled on this story and found it interesting and educational. Christian looks AMAZING!!!! Thank you for all the hard work on him and the other animals you guys care for.
What a sweet baby. Crying at how skeletal he was. I volunteered for a horse rescue and we got a lot of similar cases of abandonment. Seeing emaciated animals never gets easier. I will never understand why people don't take the simple step of surrendering the animal themselves.
I once took in a ball python that had three layers of stuck shed, was dehydrated, and starved. I'd never had a snake before, but having watched Snake Discovery for some time, I knew I couldn't leave the snake with their current owners. The snake made a full recovery and thrived!
I don't particularly want a snake or any other reptile. But I couldn't have left it either. Luckily there's channels like this to help out in caring for them.
From somebody who may be getting a boa and loves them, it broke my heart seeing the indentations from the emaciation :( I’m so glad he’s okay now! He’s so beautiful and I hope he loves his new home
omg this poor baby! im so glad you guys were able to rescue him, he look like a total sweetie and didnt give any fuss. he knew he was saved!
He’s such a sweet snake, I don’t understand how someone could ever abandon him
Oh, gods. That poor snake, thanks so much for taking in so many animals that need help.
He is such a sweetheart for all he went through and he didn’t deserve it I’m not blaming anyone the landlords were trying their best to take care of him but I’m just glad he’s in better shape now
What a happy ending for Christian. He can spend his final days being loved on, and not forgotten ❤
The visible heartbeat and concave body brought a tear to my eye. Thank you so much for the time, kindness and care that you give to these creatures. I'm glad the people called you to rescue Christian and that he has gotten a great home with intern Brooke. 🐍
Such a gentle snake, letting you handle them and take all the stuck shed off.
Amazing how friendly he is.
It's more like he didn't have the energy to resist 💀
It's more like he didn't have the energy to resist 💀
When I got my 2nd boa it was extremely emaciated. Could barely hold onto anything. Took several weeks of getting small meals before giving him an appropriate size meal. He's since back to a good weight and body size. Temperament improved greatly and is now a joy to have and educate the neighborhood kids.
I actually have a Ball python that someone left in the attic and my mom panicked when we got there and I pulled her right out because they knew nothing. Libra is an angel we love her. Now my mom adores snakes as much as I do
The way Christian's Belly concaved in, (before I knew he had a collapsed lung) made me gasp in horror. I'm so glad he got so much better and is going to a loving home.💕
Christian is such a handsome old man, hope he has a great retirement!
Thank you for helping him... I accidentally clicked on this (I'm not a snake person), but I honor animal rescuers above any calling. I was smitten watching his heartbeat, I bet animal rescuers sleep better than the average bear. xx
Christian is a handsome lad! So grateful you saved him and he has his forever home. God bless you and all for what you do!🙏❤️
I’d say that was a huge success, because it was surprising he wasn’t already passed before you got there. He had a lot going on! You guys are awesome!
I can never understand how someone could abandon a pet. I'm about to lose my very first cat, at just over a year old, to what's likely FIP. She's in hospice at home, waiting to pass, hopefully peacefully. This is one of the hardest things I've had to go through.
Prayers for you and your sweet kitty ❤ I hope you are alright and kitty is comfortable
I’m so sorry. I send as much love as I can virtually
Sending hugs and healing. You sound like a loving, caring person, and I am sorry, you are going through this. ❤
There’s actually a new underground drug that’s been released that can help with fip, maybe that might be worth looking into 💕
@@daisymay6505I was actually gonna mention this, but wasn't sure it would do any good at this point. Glad someone else knew and got there before me
That poor baby. I'm so grateful you got him before it was too late!!
I have zero experience with snakes, this is actually my very first snake rescue video, and even i could see the massive, beautiful improvement in Christian from the beginning of the video to the end. This IS a success story, even if you couldn't fix everything!
The snake must have felt SO much better after the help of you and Ed. Animals are lucky people like you guys exist.
This is so bittersweet. It's amazing how well he recovered, but it's just so sad that someone would do this to a living and breathing creature... sometimes I really want to forget just how cruel people can be.
Poor old man, he seems really sweet though. You’re doing amazing work rescuing all these animals
He may not look perfect but he has had a huge transformation! He is absolutely beautiful! Look at his colors and his size! He is so well behaved also! Glad he found his forever retirement home!
So glad one of your interns adopted the poor guy. Y'all did an amazing job nursing him back to health. He seems like such a sweetheart too! Glad that whatever time he has left he will be adored and well taken care of.🐍🐍🐍🐍
I was telling my mom what was happening. She said that the person who abandoned this baby should be prosecuted. Just like any other abandoned animal, the owner should get in trouble. Happy Ed and Emily are here to rescue and take care of this sweet baby.
The problem is snakes of this size can live easily for 50+ years. Taking care of anything for that amount of time is going to be hard.
I think this video is an interesting example of what a creature can live through if it's committed to surviving. It's a testament to the indomitable spirit even present in animals Also he's so gentle it's adorable
I’m so glad you guys exist. Thank you for saving this sweetheart and the other babies you have ❤️
I have watched you guys for quite sometime and i find it amazing how kind you guys are. I love how passionate you both are and how you share the same passion and have created such an amazing place helping animals and educating people. One of these days i will come see your zoo!

Makes me wonder if it's possible to treat a collapsed lung in a snake.
This just broke my heart how thin and full of stuck shed this poor snake was. Thank you both so much for helping this sweet boy, the world needs more people like you
He is the most precious old man! Glad he pulled through and has found a retirement home in the Snake Discovery family!
If it wasn't for the scar on his nose, I never would have believed that was the same snake. The change is just amazing. Thank you for saving this guy.
I cried when I saw him for the first time. Thank you for helping Christian! ❤
Fantastic rescue story, Christian absolutely came around and looks 1000x better. Great job.
I'm so happy he gets to live the rest of his life with a kind and knowledgeable keeper. He is going to be warm and safe and fed and that is the best rescue story you can have. I am currently saving money to get a rescue snake of my own and these videos have me looking forward to it!
It's always so sad to see a case of neglect, but it feels even worse when it's such a good-natured animal like this sweet boy. I'm so glad he's going to a happy home!
I am really surprised how well the boa is acting. No fighting at all. But she also is so thin. Poor girl.
Poor boy!!😮😢 I'm sooo glad he's with you now!!❤
I'm just amazed about the fact that this animal is still alive despite having a collapsed lung and stuffed noestrils for such a long time. Though that one shot shows that he CAN take a deep breath and inflate it and seems to be doing okay. Snakes are amazing animals.
He's been through hell but he's still so sweet, the animal capacity for forgiveness is incredible
Oh that poor little thing :( I didn't expect a snake video to make me cry so much? I'm so glad you got to help her.
As a snake owner my heart breaks for this poor boy. Thank you very much for your work! You did a great job! ❤
He looks incredible compared to what he was. He was on deaths door and you and Ed saved him ❤ what a sweet snake as well! So calm and gentle despite the obvious and horrible neglect he endured.
I know you said you won't be doing videos on the other rescues but after egg videos these are definitely my favourites. You can just see how much you love you have for these poor babies.
i can only imagine how much relief he probably felt even just getting all that stuck shed off. imagine how itchy he probably was under 2 layers of shed!
Snakes scare me , but still, poor baby ! I couldn’t imagine being trapped in layers of old skin , starved AND just waiting for my owner to come back ??? I’m glad you guys saved her ✨
I have never liked snakes as I have a phobia of them but I am so happy to see that this creature was rescued and looked after. He didn't deserve that cruelty.
He might be old, but he looks SOOO much better at the end of the video. I audibly gasped when I saw how hollow he was at the start.
He is just such a beautiful, calm sweet boy and I swear he smiled after his shed was removed. ❤❤❤❤
That snake 🐍 is a super sweetheart... 💙 Prescious... He looks so happy now!!! OMG!!! His colors after 8 months with you guys are brilliant!!! So much prettier!!!
He knows he is now loved. For some abandoned pets, thats enough to make them happy.
Not only did he look more friendly he looked happy to see you guys on the second update
When I saw that hollow gap underneath the snake, I had to pause... I almost cried. Poor baby.
What a poor sweet baby. I just cannot believe the neglect and suffering he endured and was still such a sweet baby. I mean I get cranky when I’m tired and hungry, he did better than I would have! I hope to see further updates on Christian and hope that he still lives for a long time. 🥰
I also rescued a boa that was quite older looking. Was a gift for a young teen, never properly educated, never moved out of his wooden 3 foot enclosure 75w basking bulb IN the enclosure with burns all down his back. Easily 6 1/2, 7ft. After a new enclosure and good husbandry, he looks amazing! And he is still a sweetheart. Must be a boa thing.
Please continue to post videos like this, showing a realistic view of rescue and rehabilitation.
Christian is one of the sweetest snakes I’ve ever seen. Such a sook for a noodle, he’s almost like a puppy. So patient, too. What a good boy.
you said at end thats you wish this could have been a satisfying rescue videos where animal looks amazing after some care. I for one see an amazing Snekko. Poor guy has been through alot probably close to death's door. You gave it a decent home, food, love and attention and you can tell that Snekko is living a new much more fulfilled live. He looks Lively and Happy, and sniffling the air with his tongue in the end, compared to looking pretty much like a battery operated toy with low low battery life left at start
