Give me the First Class/Original Five members in this first movie. Then, bring in the second team in the second or third movie. The X-Men is rich with history, great stories, and great characters. This franchise can go for decades. Just as long or longer than the Bond 007 franchise. I do want to see a badass Gambit and Rogue in live action but they can wait. The main characters I want to see done justice: Cyclops Jean Angel Iceman Storm Banshee Sunfire Thunderbird Colossus Nightcrawler

Didn't they sort of already explore this idea in Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. except with Inhumans?
That was back when marvel was being petty about fox having the X-Men and fantastic four film Rights. So they took the allegory of the mutants and gave it to the inhumans.

I would love them to sa y the mutants in the mcu is due to Thanos snap as we know there was an energy surge that went around the world when he snapped his fingers. So could say half to most of the half that survived the snap gained the powers and the ones that came back are just normal humans.

I think this will take place in a different universe but by the end some of the team will end up in the 616 but I don’t believe they’ll reveal it’s a different universe till the end. Maybe not even till the post credit scene.

Since there has been no mutants in the MCU their introduction is going to be complicated at best that's why a soft reboot in which like Crisis On Infinite Earths a new 616 universe emerges with the X men and mutants always had been a part of but on which the X men and the Brotherhood take on people that have superpowers as they do so they won't be excluding mutates (enhanced) or Inhumans which are also being introduced since we have already seen that mutates are often as feared and hated as mutants in the MCU already as we can see in Jessica Jones where a couple tries to kill her just for that reason

It makes no sense for the Xmen to be rebooted in the middle of giving the Fox Xmen there ‘endgame’ they should wait until after Avengers Secret Wars and instead make an Xmen Vs Avengers movie where due to an incursion the fox Xmen fight the new Avengets leading to Secret Wars

That's your opinion but a reminder that it captures the essence of what everyone wanted the X-men to be in the movies and not Logan Centric This series has been written by someone that worked on Moon Knight and he managed to understand the X-men. MCU X-men is literally in good hands with the type of writing X-men 97 has which is needed. That writing has been a thing even in the OG X-men movies.
