I just hope Brilliant Diamond/Shining Pearl adds some new content to the game. Doesn't have to be any of the gigantamax or mega evolution stuff, but just new quality of life stuff that made HGSS or ORAS a lot of fun to revisit and not a straightforward retread of things.
I was actually hoping for megas. Could add on to hoenn lore since megas actually had some pretty good lore. Im fine as long as there's no lets go or gigantamax though.

It's what made SSHG one of the best games, and ORAS, as you said, so fun to revisit. Honestly though... I doubt it so much. He said "faithful remakes" and the fact that it's being developed by pokemon hoME??? It looks more like a Lets Go kinda game... to the point where I even doubt they give National Dex.
They would probably just toss in Platnium's stuff as end game content like how they did with Emerald in Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire.
@@chrizchanang Even if they don't have anything new in the main game k (Which I'm sure they'll have some new stuff) it'll be another good opportunity to play online and revamped underground etc etc. Also we haven't seen Dialga/Palkia/Giratina so they might have revamped forms like ORAS, maybe Arceus will as well in Legends.
My only worry about pokemon legends is that the world would just feel empty

It releases early next year which means there is still more than enough time to polish. As a first look it is promising but further criticism and/or praise should wait till August and September. If they game still looks unfinished by then my hopes would die but till then I'll wait and see.

Yeah it’s really a shame. And Since Dexit makes it impossible to update sinnoh with all Pokémon added since gen 4 it’s disappointing to see they are not even bothering to add anything not in the originals.

its the LOD of the models. the further away the less frames to preserve processing. you can see the same thing in Dark souls actually. but idk why thats the case BOTW gets by just fine.

Well, people said the same thing about early Sword and Shield footage, and then it never improved. Hopefully it's different this time, but I don't want to get my hopes up again...
Because A LOT of games have failed to deliver the optimization people were hopeful about developers achieving. And the performance of SW&SH is no exception. Besides, these were the best clips they had to offer. Out of all the footage, this is what they chose was best. Performance is likely much much worse in other areas, as of now at least.

yeah, like remakes are already low effort compared to making a new game but they literally put a 3d filter over the new diamond and pearl and called it a day.... wouldn´t be surprised if it didn´t have the national pokedex and no new content
@@sebrij Yeah, I don't think we'll see a Nat Dex or bring Sw/Sh pokemon in to the remakes but who knows? With Pokemon Home, it could be possible, and it would be one way to import some Sinnoh pokemon into the Sw/Sh as well. Once again, knowing GameFreak, probably not.

Art style is faithful. I like the character it’s kinda cute but maintains the blocky aspect of old video game assets while bringing them into and HD era. Looks good. The game play is really what matters so it better be faithful.
Insanely relieved by the direction they took with the remakes! Pokemon Legends looks like an incredible hybrid between Pokemon and a Breath of the Wild approach. Thanks for correcting course on the franchise, I'm glad I held onto hope.

Been here for the entire journey, since 1996. That intro was a massive nostalgia trip
Gen 4 is ridiculously nostalgic to me. I remember everything about it... obsessively checking Serebii for updates, since D/P came out in Japan several months early, and mowing the lawn so I could go to the midnight launch. I was in 8th grade. When the years stopped at 2007 I froze and dropped my phone. I knew. This is what we’ve been waiting for, for so long and I’m not even gonna complain about how similar the graphics are to the original. This is literal fan service.

@@savien6401 The issue is that Brick Bronze doesn't look good, compared to Pokemon games. People liked Brick Bronze because it was very impressive for a Roblox game, and it was fun too. However, Pokemon has more resources, so they should be able to make a game that looks better than Roblox for Christ's sake.

Believe it or not many people complained that ORAS wasn't "faithful" enough so Nintendo prolly said "fuck it" and made this look as faithful as possible. Either that or they're allocating most of their resources to Pokemon Legends

Was hoping they’d give the gen 4 remakes an ORAS treatment: adding new areas, characters, even story bits to make it more interesting. But it looks like the exact same game. Apparently people on Twitter are 100% okay with GameFreak doing the bare minimum; if you wanted to have the exact same game, why not play the originals? Are graphics really enough of a selling point to you guys?
