I teared up when I saw the trailer for Pokemon Legends Z. Pokemon X and Y are two of my favorite Pokemon games. And that fact that Mega Evolution is coming back...God give me strength to wait until next year. Kalos is finally getting the attention it deserves. ❤

NEW POKEMON LEGENDS GAME! I’m super stoked and looking forward to this! I loved the past tense setting of PLA but I kinda wanna see if we’ll get a more modern setting for LEGENDS Z. I love PLA. The idea behind it is just so satisfying and there’s so many different ways to collect Pokémon and I love it.
Please tell me i am confused... Is it like Legends Arceus or A remake of Pokemon XY like Ultra sun or Pokemon platinum?

What's interesting is, like how PLA seemed to be based on the Meiji Restoration time period, Paris had a big redevelopment starting in the 1850s.
All of the people in that city were dressed in modern clothing. They were also battling, they were using Poké balls, and none of it seemed like it was an uncommon thing for them. If it was truly the past, it would be more like PLA, where there was nothing.
@@samgardner4667 Maybe because "that city" is actually the vision of the future, or the modern times. Which in the perspective of the people in the past or during/before the Lumiose redevelopment, would be the future. So yeah "that city" in the blueprint would make sense that the people have modern clothing and battling and Pokéballs, since they are part of the depictions for the redevelopment plans. So, likely "that city" is what Lumiose we saw in modern X and Y, and we haven't seen yet what Lumiose will be in PLZ-A.

@@samgardner4667 I dunno, maybe because the city actually does exist. The old Lumiose (which existed and different to what it looks in modern times) is redeveloped into the Lumiose today. Lumiose is redeveloped into a new vision. Both past and modern states of the city existed. Kinda like how old Paris (which also existed) was redeveloped into a new Paris, like how it happened in the 1850s as OP cited. What was shown in the trailer was not the past, but the modern Lumiose. But either way, an old Lumiose existed to be redeveloped into the modern one.
@samgardner4667 are you under the impression that every point in the past in every location was the exact same? Odds are good that A:this game is still in the past, just slightly further into the future than Legends Arceus, or B:Kalos was simply ahead of Sinnoh(or Hisui, as it were) in terms of development.
I have immense respect for kalos. I was a beautiful region in which we just didn’t get enough time. It got me back into Pokémon after missing two generations. I am so excited for the new legends game!

I’ve never played Kalos but I tend to see a ton of hate towards it that doesn’t seem deserved to me, so I’m so happy to see it getting love. Gives me a reason to go get a copy of X or Y so I can finally play it though!
It got the shortest end of the stick out of any pokemon game because it never got an enhanced version/sequel up until now. Seems like they want to revisit some ideas from back then.
I missed out on Gen 5 and 6, but then I broke down and got a Switch Lite to get back in for Gen 8 and 9; I never had a 3ds...
The "Z to A" implies that there's an A pokemon. I have a feeling it will be a fusion of xernaeus, Yveltal, and 100% Zygarde. Kinda like the kyurim fusions. I'm also calling it now that the way you unlock mega evolution is by creating said fusion.
The A doesnt have to be a pokemon it could be human
Z-A could also be a call back to the Omega and Alpha from the Hoenn remakes. AZ was the one who called dubbed the trio with the titles of the omega, the alpha, and the delta. Tbh, I wouldn't be surprised if he also named ZAcian and ZAmazenta (or ZArude) that.
It's most likely Arceus. They're gonna be back and drag us back again through time involving us with the hijinks that's happening in past Kalos

I saw that Pokémon Legends Z-A is now categorized as a mainline game. Also, I teared up when I saw the Mega Evolution symbol and sound! And also again lol 😂, the “releasing simultaneously 2025” makes me think it’s going to be a launch title for the next generation Switch

DUDE!!! I legit screamed when I saw legends z-a! Pokemon x and y meant the most to me (spare the greats: r, s, lg, fr) and I was beyond upset when kalos didn't get anything! Legends arceus was great and and and! I'm excited friends!

I think it's going to be more like legends arceus but we never got pokemon z so it'll be a spiritual successor that hopefully will fill in some of the gaps (especially AZ)

Interesting...just the title is enough to spark off a few ideas. Z-A is curious, right off the bat. Yep, it's probably a reference to AZ. But consider this: "Z-A" is indicative of one thing ending and another beginning, like a loop starting over. What the loop is, though, that could refer to any number of things... 1) Lysandre. Keep in mind that while the Weapon was firing, we got out...but Lysandre didn't and we're supposed to presume that he died. But if it had the same effect on him as it did on AZ, this might not be the case...and perhaps he has a new scheme...? 2) This will tie a number of loose threads together, mostly pertaining to AZ. At this point, there are indications of AZ's activity in Hoenn (the mysterious tree in Sootopolis), Paldea (the ancient plaque in the Crater's next to last level), Galar (if you buy the theory that the ripped-up central area was the "impact site" for the Weapon) and of course, Kalos. HOW these all connect and WHY could be a big deal, one they've been dropping hints about for a while. 3) .za is the Internet code for South Africa. This could be total nonsense...or it might be a hint at a new region that we'll see part of in this release. Or maybe not. 4) The "mega" effects from different regions could receive a unifying explanation. And it's possible that we just might find out what DID happen to Wattson's halted underground projects, as the lore on those indicated that "something" was found deep underground that necessitated stopping the energy production facility and Wattson's underground city project. And there's a few other underground things in Hoenn that potentially fit here. 5) The logo. The "Z" has Zygarde's skin pattern...but the other type there clearly refers to Rayquaza, plus it ALSO figures into AZ's narrative (the explanation for the tree in Sootopolis, ie: "It is the Delta", etc. And another point about the delta symbol that AZ hinted as is the fact that, in physics and related fields, "delta" always refers to a state of change, often changes in energy levels or states. ALL of these revolve around the Weapon, seemingly. And consider: all we know about it is that it was hella powerful and had catastrophic results when fired. Could the lore here cover something such as the concept that there may have been a previous technological society that AZ's weapon blasted back to the Stone Age in a much larger catastrophe than we saw in the explanation in XY. Lots to unpack...and of course, lots of possibilities, rumors, speculation, conjecture. I get the feeling this is going to get really wild.
If you remember, the MC of PLA came from Kalos, maybe this is a continuation and the MC got sent home but to another time period

My theory is that since they stated Legends ZA will take place “entirely within Lumiose city”, the game will be in some kind of future setting where the “urban redevelopment” is expanding Lumiose City into the entire region. It could be something like letting the player develop the city themselves by exploring out into the region.
I think something similarly. I keep getting silenced for telling people that this is going to take place in the future, I keep getting shouted down because they were like “legends is in the past, bro” that trailer looks too futuristic to be in the past.
@@samgardner4667I think the game is going to be taking place in the past around a few years after Legends Arceus. Taking real world history and seeing a pokémon loves to adapt it. I feel like they're going to adapt 1880-1890 periods of France. The industrial revolution just happened and France is going through an entire new urban development and eventually became the most beautiful city in the world. The entire conflict of the game could potentially be Zygarde trying to destroy the city and the new pokeball creations as disrupts the natural order of nature and the entire game would be the protagonist trying to calm down and reason with Zygarde
@@samgardner4667 The Urban Redevelopment of Paris is a real thing that happened in the past. And since the previous legends game was based off real history, I think this will be too.
Possible but dont assume things and say them as fact we have no information as of yet and tons of people are already stating stuff as fact without actually knowing

I was not expecting a return to Kalos so soon, but I’m excited because Pokémon X brought me back into the franchise. I noticed that in the social media posts announcing the game, they say it will launch on “Nintendo Switch systems” in 2025. I feel like they usually just say the Nintendo Switch, but I could be reaching. The systems phrasing hints to me that maybe a new Switch is coming.
X and Y were my first games so seeing the legends has me so F***ing happy right now dude ahhhhhhhhhhhh

XY was the first time i played a pokemon game EVER back when it first released. To see that story expanded upon brings back big nostalgia vibes. So looking forward to this.

Pokemon B2/W2 releases on DS when the 3DS was already out, and US/UM released on 3DS after the Switch was released. Could see this being a Switch game if the Switch 2 is already out, especially so if the system is backwards compatible.

I'm happy. Were finally getting Pokémon Z after so many years. And it may be for Switch 2 since its 2025. It's a good thing they are skipping a whole year and actually listening to fans and taking their time. This has potential to be amazing. Oh, and I'm hyped for new Kalosian forms and new MEGAS!!!! And for clarification, this game is a Legends game, so it is NOT in the future like many people have been speculating, it takes place in the past 3000 years ago during/ after the Great Pokémon war that destroyed Lumiose City, that's why they are Re-developing it again with the redevelopment plan. Plus, the name makes sense. Its Z-A because of the character AZ from X and Y.
To go back to Kalos, in a legends game, in another mainline game...I couldn't ask for something better. Mega flygon better be in there 😤

Pokémon XY were the games that pretty much brought me back to the franchise so long ago. And having fallen out of love with it since my adventure in Scarlet, I think it's about time I went back and finished my adventure in the DLCs and finally picked up Legends Arceus before Legends Z-A comes out.
PLA is fantastic. I stopped playing the games after gold and silver, and PLA drew me back in because of it's simplified formula and actually finally being able to catch pokemon in the wild in real time. It was what every 10yo in 1998 imagined in their head when playing the og games.

Simultaneously most likely just means it releases at the exact same time all over the world, rather than a worldwide release that takes timezones into account.
Excited to see if we'll be time travelling into the future with this next Legends game. I mostly hope with the year away it gets some solid polish before the release.

I think the “A” in legends Z-A might mean Alola. On the confidential letter in the top right corner, there is a logo that looks similar to the ultra wormholes from Sun/Moon. Also the entire futuristic vibes, while being a past legends game, gives me the vibes of wormholes and ultra space.

8:35 I think it's more likely that it was pushed back. Switch 2 was supposed to launch in November (and if it's really a 'switch' then they could use the logo), likely with a Pokemon game. I think that's also why it didn't show any form of gameplay, because they couldn't!
