Who's ready to go to the Lumiose worlds Fair?
Now I’m hoping they do that
Bro that would be awesome
Ooooh that is a very good option. Characters from all region would come there
I'm guessing it's like 40's Kalos
@@sawylshady1023NO ITS THE MIDDDDDDDDD 40s you got me, ok we good
BTW didn't realize it until a google search later, but "Soe yue?" was likely "See You ?" like how in the beginning of the segment the Unown were meant to spell "Pokemon Presents" but some them were scrambled (in the wrong places)
I thought that was just my dyslexia 😂
@@samprause2633Confirm: All Unown are Dyslexic
@@samprause2633funny you say that, as my dyslexia allowed me to read the message as if unscrambled.
@@runedoomwith great power comes great reading ability
see you, but they added the question mark do to the mistake
Ppl think it's in the future, but they forget that in the beginning they draw the blueprints for the city. It might not be ANCIENT like Arceus, but classic style, maybe 60s? even 30s? At least, it fives me that vibe.
Paris was rebuild between 1853 to 1875 to look like it does now. So that might be the case here.
@@ShinyElesa On top of that, several world fairs were held in Paris between 1855 and 1900, with the one in 1889 being the Eiffel Tower's display, so that time period is absolutely possible
I think it's heavily implied that past and future are coming together. They start with the sketch style, switch to neon blueprints, then end with the pencil sketch paper style. Z-A also implies some sort of reversal of order.
Arceus wasn't an ancient time either, it's Meiji Restoration/Hokkaidō Development Commission. Laventon has a camera.
It could realistic take place in at the same time as Arceus. The developmental differences between France and Japan were WILDLY big.
Seeing the Urban Redevelopment Programme made me think that it would take place when lumiose was smaller
Yeah, is implied that the player have to help to develop the city
some people think this game is set on the future kalos
The style in the trailer seems futuristic, but the blueprints and such looks old. I think the idea for the game is based on the re-development of Paris in the 1800's.
@@Nikolaj11 yeah that makes sense
The twitter said that it takes place entirely in Lumiose so it most likely is, probably grows as you advance the game like the Rescue Command Post in Pikmin 4
This is freaking amazing. Another Legends game, Mega Evolution returning AND most likely Kalos lore.
Me too, I hope its like set in like a few generations back if the trailer it is saying that luminos city was in building development like maybe around when professor Sam oak was a kid timeline like in the celebi movie which will be another hint of a possible legends celebi game is hinted . I really hope that this game isn't set in modern times. Please be at least some timeline in the past because come on its a legends game so I would assume that means we're going back in time to explain more of the lore of the region
@@spookykatelyn2161 Yeah hopefully it takes place in the past too. It would be interesting who we could see at this time.
I wonder if the theory is right that the weapon that az fired at was paldea
@@zacharymisikin5136 yeah or if it hit the celest people village where Cynthia ancestors came from that was also told in the old verses in hisui because I'm not sure if it hit that village or in paldea. Because either one Is a possibility
Kalos already had lore developped between the tv show and sun and moon. It didn’t needed any more. I hate this.
I'm thinking it's set in the early days of lumios city and have like a victorian steampunk vibe
I really hope so. That would be amazing
It looks like it might be set entirely in the future. Nintendo did a post on Twitter saying that the game will be set entirely Lumoise City, so whatever this “redevelopment” is for the city it’s MASSIVE.
That would be so amazinh, and i am hype.
Ooo like a proto magearna and a mega volcanion somewhere in there to better match.
its likely going to be set in the equivalent of 19th century, since irl Paris was getting redeveloped within that period (specifically, 1853 to 1870) - funnily enough meaning the events could overlap with Legends Arceus given that is also roughly set there (late Edo period/early Meiji Period, with the region Hisui/Sinnoh being based on getting renamed in the second year of the Meiji period of 1869)
New Megas are gonna hit the Pokémon community like crack

But yeah for now we have the Blueberry Academy in Scarlet and Violet
Isn't it AZ like the character of Pokemon X/Y
@@ryanlunzen9794 its Z-A. The order in which the letters appeared explains it
@@ryanlunzen9794look at the title
@ryanlunzen9794 Yeah, he's a significant character to the plot. I don't know why the 2 people who replied to you think you made a mistake when you really noticed a possible connection.
I think it IS a historic setting. "Re-development plan" instantly makes me think that they're rebuilding after the ultimate weapon, so maybe it'll take place post-aftermath?
The only issue is that the weapon was fired 3,000 years prior to X&Y and Pokeballs are a relatively recent invention, so if we are going back that far, we'd be throwing the established capture mechanics out the window, which feels very out-of-character for a Pokemon game.
@@Dudeman23rdI mean the legends series is out of pocket itself but I doubt a no pokeball pokemon game Would be insane and kinda cool tho, kinda like other games where you can befriend monsters
I think it could be rebuilding after the most recent firing of the weapon by Lysander. I'm hoping it's set in a post apocalyptic Kalos that the Rainbow Rocket Lysander was from where he won.
@@Dudeman23rdWe don't know what PLA means by "a long time ago", so...
@@bubbykins4864 Stylistically and culturally, the Hisuian civilization in PLA is based on late 1800's Hokkaido, and the Pokemon world is meant to mostly mirror ours in terms of development, so I don't think it would make a lot of sense for PLA to take place more than a few hundred years in the past.
Im very exicted for this as my first pokemon game was Pokemon X and im tired of people allways saying the X and Y games were bad.
Same, X and Y will always be special to me because it’s my first. I was freaking out when I realized we are finally going back!
Tbf, even with how much I love Kalos, the games were bad.... Hopefully this game gives Kalos the love it deserves
True, it was my first and the only one I played actually. I need to get this game now, if it comes for the new switch as well it would be perfect
I'm with you. Pokemon X was my first game and Kalos is one of my favourite regions
@TechnoArpan Excellent lore and ideas, pretty bad execution. I have to keep reminding myself I even played the game, despite looking back, I like a lot of the Pokémon from the region.
Looking forward to new Megas & maybe new Regional Forms?
Praying for Mega Sinnoh and Johto Starters
Mega Alola Starters because of the A in Z-A
@@shadowarcherx15Could be Paldea because Z-A is Area Zero backwards. But honestly im hoping we get more regional forms because of how lacking paldea was.
Mega Incinaraor? 😅
@@icantbelieveyoudonethis4059mega kalos straters, man....
Remember that the Eiffel tower was build late 19th century, and this teaser mentions 'city rebuilding' which is either a reference to the 19th century renovation of Paris, or the rebuilding of Paris after the world wars. So I think it will be modern but not post-modern, i.e. steam engines and electricity but not yet widespread internal combustion. Generally Pokémon does not have a lot of cars, so that might not be very noticeable, but it is slightly before current time.
Lumiose was (I believe) the first instance of a player canonically being in a vehicle more than once, with the taxis. Unless I’m mistaken, the only other instances prior to this were the truck in hoenn & Burgh’s car in the b2w2 credits. Personally, I don’t think it’s a simple coincidence that cars weren’t shown here

Gen 6 absolutely deserved this love. A decade later though but im not complaining.
Okay there's 2 possibilities it's either set in a little bit in the future or it's set between the 18th and 19th century. The reason I say that it could be set between the 18 and 19th century because Maybe those were blueprints when the city was being made and they started digital mapping what it looked like in the past.
19th would check out with real French history. Paris was completely restructured at that time
I think it's a little bit in the future. Set 10 or so years after XY.
So that’s why the Gen 6 legendaries weren’t in Scarlet and Violet
That and the balancing issues. Tera Xerneas with Geomancy would break open the meta.
Right??? Totally should have seen the signs!! I just thought that they weren’t in the game bc a lot of Gen 6 mon were already in the game
Can't wait to start breaking and entering again. Kalos was my first game ever and I can't wait to see it again 🎉🎉🎉🎉

@3rguy Nah, not really. Gen 6 was great! Gen 5 is overrated. But, I do wish that Unova (B/W) AND Kalos (XY) would get remakes EVENTUALLY in a similar style to the GOATED Sw/Sh!!!
I translated this as it being in the past and we would join the Urban Development group in creating Lumiose city. I also hope that we will get our own home in the game and be able to decorate/customize it like we used to with secret bases in gen 3. I also hope that there will still be some other towns/villages (not a lot) unlike Arcues but we’ll see

i can see there being a battle at the top of that tower with zyguarde being overpowered and trying to destroy the place. Also thinking pink in the logo = diancie. Or tenuous.... but shiny celebi?
Makes sense. Zygarde is a protector of nature. So he probably doesnt like giant cities very much.
Huh. I thought Zygarde was a good guy
@@fabianjimenez4482Zygarde's on nature's side. It just so happens the baddies usually wanna screw over nature as part of their schemes. If we're working on urban development, that might not be the case anymore...
@@fabianjimenez4482Zygard is order, order is neither inherently good or bad.
Diancie is pretty reasonable, but shiny Celebi is some crazy copium
Here's a couple things to chew on: Paris, what Lumiose was based on, was completely destroyed and rebuilt in the 1800s. The Z is Zygarde's style, and the A is scaled or "petalled", like a certain character's unreleased friend. Also, there will probably be both new past regional forms and new megas for those forms for the starters.
with the recent games introducing paradoxes and time travel essentially, I'm thinking this legends game might show us the past AND the future of kalos. all the unowns, like from legends arceus, and the kind of vintage/aged look of the paper, writing, and drawings of lumiose city make me think of the past. but the futuristic/modern view of the city seems. well. futuristic and modern, lol. AND, a small detail, but the Z and the A are two different fonts. Z is the end, but A is the beginning, or vice versa, telling me this MIGHT include the past AND the present/future. I'd love to learn more about AZ, his floette, zygarde, and the war. but a game set in the future is also super exciting, post-events of the originals. it might even tie into scarlet and violet/paldea, since france and spain are right next to each other. that's just my little game theory tho. also, I'm excited to see who the starters will be, since the other legends gave us oshawott, cyndaquil, and rowlet!! I'm predicting chespin, tepig, and popplio :) treecko, fennekin, and totodile would also be cool!! or maybe even a paldean starter!!!!! SO MUCH SPECULATION AAAAAA!!!!!!!!!! and the possibility of new megas!!!!! or new regional forms!!!!! aaaaAAGAGAHHHHGGEEEEee im excited :))))))
I have a feeling since we visited Sinnoh's past in Legends Arceus, we'll be visiting Kalos' future in Legends Z-A? Just my thoughts on it.
It looks like it takes place before luminous city was build so i doubt it’s in the future.
this looks like 1853 paris
that makes since, its kind of funny that Unova is right in the middle of them too lol
Nah, it's clearly development plans for Lumiose.
I don’t think so because it’s about a place where humans and Pokémon can live together which already is a thing in the present + the blue is likely just blueprints
You said we don’t have a mythical, but we do: Pecharunt
He meant a new mythical. There's supposed to possibly be a new mythical Pokémon that may be movie related
@@pikasheep I know about that mythical, but the way he worded it, it sounded like he forgot about Pecharunt
Kinda a coincidence it’s (kalos) lumiose city and there’s the olympics in Paris.. (and there’s also actually a redevelopment plan for Paris as well)
Oohh, that's very interesting, pokemon legends zygarde, I'm pretty sure it's going to be based on modern day France, with the redevelopment plan, I'm pretty sure the next game is gonna be based on galar which is England a part of the uk, and it's modernization.
"Urban redevelopment program" maybe it takes place after the ultimate weapon was used by AZ and lumiose is recovering from the destruction?
I'm only a minute and 39 seconds In the video and I already have an idea for you, Pokemon Chef! It acts like a cook book, each Pokemon having a different list of things to cook. Once you're done cooking a meal you just simply take a picture of it and then the game judges your cooking. If the meal is up to par, you get a random pokemon with even more recipes!
Interesting thing I noticed, the Z clearly has Zygarde scales, while the A seems to have some plant like vines in it. New grass type legendary? Maybe Yggdrasil itself to go along with the origins of the other legendaries?
Now hear me out: the Paris Olympics are this year. These Olympics will be a rare case where the events are held in existing parts of the city, with limited new construction. If we’re redeveloping Pokémon’s Paris, maybe there’s some sort of relationship there.
Mario and...Pikachu at the Olympic Games
I thought at first that it would be a collab between Pokémon x Olympic Games 🤔
I think that it takes place shortly after the war ended, with them needing to remake Lumiose after the weapon was fired, and the cool neon futuristic stuff was just the artist of the redevelopment plan's imagination
considering this as a marketing decision it is perfect considering the war 1000 years in the past maybe we'll get az floette (it's more legendary than arceus at this point ) and mega was the best recieved gimmick in the fandom was it not (i don't think they'll do new megas tho)man everyone wanted unova but kalos has huge potential too
by fandom not by vgc players... it was soo imbalanced as hell
Flygon mega has to be a thing
nah it was perfectly fine, balance wise. you could only have one and it takes up an item slot. and there's plenty of options to choose from so it's not just one mon dominating everything. I can't wait for new megas to battle with@@markduarte401
Just speculation from my part, but a possible reason why in the next Legends we only see Luminous City is because is set in a post-apocalitic future. It could explain why in the video we see like a virtual world, people where creating the city from the ground after a massive disaster that destroyed the place so its getting a revamp, or most of the people are into virtual reality in a fake bubble of peace after said disaster.
Or in the aftermath of the War where AZ fired the Ultimate Weapon?
Or the virtual world is just a blueprint of luminous city before fully develop in the modern day?
@@Darceus2000or after Lysander does ! In an alternate Kalos where the main characters in XY failed to stop his plans
@loiratlan242 so glad I'm not the only one thinking this
The trailer is a blueprint sketch come to life.
The "A" looks like lambda letter. It's very tied to many areas in tech/science, but in quantum mechanics it's linked to "wavelength" *and* one of them is for optical fiber! The graphics are really giving the blueprint idea for sure but also it gives me strong movement of the light, if that makes sense? So remodeling the city could mean it being in the future and they are making the city more hightech-ey
To be honest, the city plans and the yellowish background look more like a renacentism kind of planning, so it would be my guess its going to be in the imperialism reestrocturing of paris in the 1800, wich for me sounds awesome
Furfrou is back on the Switch! Maybe we'll get the other missing Pokemon lines?
i have actually never been sooo excited for pokemon games in my life i looove kalos so much and i wasnt expecting anything for like at least a fewww more years but omg my day is made my skin is clear i am blessed omggg
anyone else think the "A" looks like a Delta symbol a bit and has a bit of a Rayquaza-like texture?
My brother said that, but I don't see It
Rayquaza do be tied with mega evolution
I mean its farfetch´d (pun intended) but in the mega special series, rayquaza also made a pretty big appereance... But I wouldnt expect it
that letter actually looks like lambda, and it's used a lot for science and stuff, even with optical fiber, which I think ties nicely with the art we saw, of the pokemons acting like light?
The texture seems to be Zygarde's scale texture, to me. If it was Rayquaza, there'd be some circles and straight lines.
I feel like everything being in bright neon colors wasn’t meant to show that it’s going to be set in the future but rather I believe it is meant to imply the look of blueprints
Y'know, while I don't worship mega evolution like everyone else does, I definitely wouldn't mind finally having a mega flygon 👀
I was having a breakdown at the bus stop😭 gen 6 was my first and fav gen. Zygarde is my fav legendary! Will We get new Megas? Aaah i cant wait😭😭😭 imma ditch my starter and catch a wild froakie😭

Why does people assume it is only in Lumiose ? The plot is going to focus in there, but we most likely are goign to have access to the whole region.

The question mark came up after they said see you in unown. No idea what that means. SEE YOU?
What if the gen 6 starters get megas and that's why no more ash-greninja
Rebranding ash greninja as mega greninja would be good too
Considering that Gen 6 only has the fewest number of games while every other generation has either sequels and/or remakes, it's about damn time that Kalos got some respect. It's been long overdue.
The return if Eternal Flower Floette
mega incineroar and future paradox yveltal and xerneas comp players are in SHAMBLES
How do we know that will happen
I have literally been begging for Kalos content since Pokemon Z was scrapped years and years ago. I’m gonna have an aneurysm
Seeing Z-A makes me hope it's following the city instead of a person, with time moving as you catch more or progress the story. Obviously you still create a character, but they eventually get older and have a kid with their counterpart and you play as the kid at the end. Pokemon won't do that, but I want it.
*ITS A BLUEPRINT!!!!!!!!!* we are a character that lives in the post kalos war who help with the redevelopment of lumios city with AZ and his paradox flowette. where we learn about the giant crystal death lazer that fired upon a pre giant Casim paldea.
I am so happy to hear about this,I have wanted this for so long. Game freak have really needed to do this, and look at the Z and the A they both have patterns, and the Z pattern kinda looks like Zygarde's patterns.
How I'm seeing it atm is the teaser opens with an old confidential file... the running pikachu feels like it is running through a vision of the future as it then pans out to a blueprint of the city then fades to the original drawing. As to what the gameplay will be with past and present... maybe a mix but I think more heavily leaning on the past. Fun vid thanks. :)
I think everyone's overthinking it. I believe that this'll take place not that long after XY, no more than a decade and a half. The redevelopment is simply that. The people of Kalos are remaking Lumiose City to be a more welcoming environment for people and pokemon.
I think it’s going to take place in the recent past and we’re going to be developing lumiose into its modern form, like with Paris in the 1800s, maybe we get a “lumiose world fair”
We have to keep in mind that it's a Legends game. PLA was what? The Legend of ARCEUS. This one is Legends Z-A, the Legend of Z-A. Is that the legend of AZ? The legend of Zygarde? It also hints at a loose plot in the teaser. It starts with a 19th century style art style and building design, and then flashes to the ultra modern Lumiose City as we know it today. I think it'll go back in time to these early days of the city and also go to modern time. I recommend seeing Locksin's video on the lore. It covers a lot of possibilities that make sense. There's two possibilities, it's either the Legend of AZ, or the Legend of Zygarde. Or both? We have a lot of the lore already laid out from previous media. X and Y already talk about the history of the region as a whole, so we can potentially look for hints there.
if you decoded the Pokémon Unown it's said, Zoeyue! Greninja the GOAT is back and Mega Evolution have return.
What's Zoeyue?
That was an S, not a Z. It's "See you" but mixed up, just like how the Unown at the start were supposed to say "Pokemon Presents" but were also out of order.
I hope we can use AZ's Floette
Seeing Ron get so hyped for Legends:Z-A is awesome. I'm right there with him, hyped as he is
I'm hoping we go back in time to the war era and meet a younger King Az. Plus im excited for the possible Kalos forms
I doubt that will happen (even tho I'd love it). This is Lumiose City as we know it nowadays, so definitely not 3000 years ago
@@ShinyElesa I mean, it's a legends game. So it'll probably take place in the past. Maybe during the upgrading of Luminose? Because we saw that development plan paper thing, so maybe that's a hint?
I’m so excited to build up a city!! Definitely purchasing this game on release!!
If you close your eyes its like Charlie Day is a massive Pokémon fan
I'm hyped for this legend game and now have questions for it. Is Z-A where you are starting in the future and travel back to the modern time where they start redevelopment.
It looks like Capital Delta, which could reference the delta episode, alternatively its a Capital Lambda, which could relate to a gimmick...we had Z moves, Lambda Wavelengths, im kinda hyped
Seeing *you* react that strongly to this just says how INSANE this really is 🤯🤯🤯 And on top of that they're even saying this is an ambitious project AND taking 2 years to do it???? THIS IS CRAZY!!
I hope that the main game centers around Lumiose Reconstruction around the 40’s, but the player can explore at least certain areas of Kalos to get resources or protect the city or something. It would be really cool to see an older Shalour City or Anistar City. We might get more lore on the sundial!
In 1853-1870, Baron Haussmann, under Nepoleon's orders, reconstructed and beautified/modernized the city of Paris. This would be around the same time frame as Legends Arceus took place in the Sinnoh region. Additionally, just before Paris' reconstruction, a way to create architectural building plans was just invented. Blue prints are the way they are because the process of creating duplicates requires an invertion method. All that is blue will stay white in the duplication process, and all that is white will be printed as dark blue/black. The reconstruction of Paris was the first major building project that utilized blue prints heavily in its planning and organization phases. Paris is also the city of lights. Trying to convey both, unfortunately, creates a neon effect.
Lumiose City actually being (close to) the size of Paris could be amazing. New megas makes sense with mega evolution being a big part of PoGo.
WELL THIS WAS UNEXPECTED!! BUT I AM SO EXCITED!!! We all have felt pity for XY for a while now because they're the only games that didn't get any sequels/prequels/continuations of any kind. I AM SO GLAD THAT THIS IS FINALLY GONNA CHANGE! What's very funny though is that many of us (myself included) were expecting something related to Johto or Unova (for valid reasons). Which makes Legends Z-A so unexpected. But in a good and exciting way! I'm so glad we're getting another Legends game and that that game is the long deserved continuation (or prequel (or sequel)) for Kalos. Can't wait! 💯🤯😁
Now I'm hoping they do something with the anime. I miss XY :(
This might be a stretch, but since AZ is a man from 1,000 years from the past, reversing his name for the title could hint to a 1,000 year time jump forward for the setting of the game.
Oh that would be cool I just thought it meant that we were ganna fallow a plot heavily focusing on AZ
Man, the Pokemon Legends Z-A/ZA announcement is the equivalent of "U R Not E/You Are Not Ready" Slogan that Sony used for the PS1 in North American. "The weird thing that I noticed looking at it scrambled was that I thought Game Freak was making a reference to Sony of America's PS1 Commercial Slogan "U R Not E/ENOS", considering this year is the 30th anniversary of the Japanese launch of the Playstation 1 on December 3rd, 1994/September 9th, 1995. That's what I thought Game Freak was referencing considering they did work with Sony on publishing their games to the Super Famicom/Sony Playstation 1 prior to creating Pokemon in 1995/1996 for Nintendo and such."
All I'm saying is... we better get roller skates in Legends Z-A, please.
I hope so!!! If we assume this does take place in the 19th century, then we would definitely see them. Roller skates were pretty popular back then, believe it or not
I think the unown spelling Soyeue were trying to spell SEE YOU but they were in the wrong order. Kinda like how the Unown at the start of the presents were in the wrong order to spell POKEMON PRESENTS
I mean. Arceus was in the past. We had Scarlet, Past. Z-A looks to be in the future. We got Purple, FUTURE. I think it's obvious.
Sounds like I need to up my shiny fennekin game so I’ll be ready for this next year
Im expecting this to be right after the Great War of Kalos, as lumiose was most likely destroyed after such a big war and they need to rebuild it, I feel like soeyue was the name of the region back then probably
what if I told you soeyue is just an anagram of "see you"
The game is set in the past, My reason for speculation?, The Title!, Z-A!, the Z part means Zygarde is a part of it ofcourse, AND The A part means AZ!, We can get AZ's past, We can see THE WARRRRR
The visuals for that last trailer made me think, "Is this Pokemon VR or something?"
YOU HAVE NO IDEA HOW HAPPY I AM RN
The paper + pencil part of the plza teaser made me think of the 1920s. A lot of big changes happened IRL in the 20s so I'd be interested in a pokemon game set then!
1:30 Cafe Remix dude 😆
I've did some searching online and the SOEYUE message is just probably the name of the region in Legends Z-A it's an anagram of see you. So basically they saying see you in SOEYUE
No it's not lol, it's just "see you" scrambled. The Unown also misspelled "Pokemon presents" at the start
I am pretty convinced now that this is meant to be set sometime after the events of X and Y. If you look at the clothing worn by some of the people, even with the wire frame mesh sort of graphics, you can see modern clothing. I'm pretty darn sure there's a girl wearing a baseball cap and shorts.
I 100% hope the game has this digital overlay the whole time or at least pokemon can be put into home in this form to extend my living dex in a really cool way. I think this is a really cool alternate skin for pokemon. Also new fur from form confirmed im pretty sure!
The blueprints of lumious city and “urban redevelopment plan” make me speculate that we will get to know the origins of how lumious city came to be. Maybe some backstory of lumious city had to be redeveloped into what we have in X and Y?
Oh my god! Yesssss! I hope they bring back the shiny sound
There was an official online version of the Pokémon TCG, called Pokémon Trading Card Game Online. It's why all Pokémon TCG decks, box sets, and booster packs have a code card, so you can get your real life collection on the computer as well. However, this original version isn't available on phones, for whatever reason. (It is available for tablets, though)
Am I the only one who saw that mega evolution symbol?!?!? Are they bringing back megas?!?!
Yep!
@@prof.reuniclus21 then my good sir we must REJOICE! FINALLY WE WILL HAVE SOMETHING TO COMBAT MEGA RAYQUAZA! (This is most likely going to be some sort of mega version of Zygarde)
@@Kane_Otsutsuki Zygarde-Complete: 708 base stats, Mega Zygarde Complete = 808bst? (Most likely not but who knows)

words cannot express how happy i am kalos is getting a legends game. pokemon x and y were not only my first pokemon game but my favorite region
This is a past game. It says “city development” on the envelope.
Didn't it say city redevelopment?
You are correct. I misread it. So it could actually be a future game after all.@@AlphaFX-kv4ud
@@AlphaFX-kv4udyes, but lumiose is like Paris and lumiose existed for along time as far as we know, so it could be like the redevelopment of Paris in the 1800s and we get the “lumiose world fair”
There is enough information to tell that at least some of the game takes place in the future, or at least after X and Y. The road they show with very modern looking buildings is the road to Jaune Plaza, which right now has very old looking buildings. There's also modern style clothing which indicates that it's in a modern setting. A case could be made that it's set in the 80s instead of the near future, given the style, but I personally think rebuilding after the destruction of the Ultimate Weapon is more likely.
I wonder what the starters will be
