    • There is 1 stage with an 8 Kilometer 8% average gradient mountain finish. He has the best legs in this race. Thats the place where he has to decide the race.

    • @@MikedeGarry you're talking about 39.5km/hour in the 2000 tdf vs 42km/hour in 2022. there have been huge breakthroughs in aero tech, training methods, bike tech, nutrition, race tactics, power meters. the budgets of teams have grown dramatically that allows for multiple altitude camps/hotels per year, better facilities and more team staff. the gap between the best and worst rider in the bunch has shrunk. not saying there arent mystery drugs out there or shady nutritional methods, or shady doctors, we saw some lf that only just this year with the colombians. but to just say because someone rides fast they are doping with no evaluation of their growth as a rider, their strengths weaknesses, power profile is just plain stupid sorry.

    • @@jakaklovar3720 that depends how smart remco and roglic play it out, you can see roglic isn't in this best shape yet won tirreno. Remco clearly has the better legs at this volta a catalunya yet primoz has been smarter following wheels and they're tied now in gc. sure pogacar can destroy everyone in the first 2 weeks of tdf but it only takes 1 hard mountain stage where he cracks and gc is gone like he did in col du granon. and even so that was only the 2nd week. winning a grand tour isn't only about being the strongest.

    • I guess is because Roglic is the captain and doesn't have to pull, so he keeps the best bike for the last sprint, whereas Kuss need the lightest option because all in all he does a bigger effort during the day than Roglic.
