I feel like Relapse has more emotion than Recovery, not less. At the very least, it's very different emotion. Relapse has so much intense feeling in it. It's not as obvious, but there's a lot of feeling that you can feel behind the jokes. That entire album feels like it's coming from a man with recent trauma (because it was).

Relapse was my favorite Em album ... lyrically insane ... de javu, medicine ball, even beautiful was deep. Crack the bottle wit 50 was Dope. Hearing Dre rap was a blast from the passed. Em is the best hip hop artist in the history of hip hop. Long live slim shady!!

I feel like Relapse has more emotion than Recovery, not less. At the very least, it's very different emotion. Relapse has so much intense feeling in it. It's not as obvious, but there's a lot of feeling that you can feel behind the jokes. That entire album feels like it's coming from a man with recent trauma (because it was).
Yeah i agree and i still classify Relapse as he's best album ever because it had really cool unique beats and creative raps and emotion to it and i had it on repeat for a whole year when it came out lol.

People need to stop going on about the fact "he never smiles". he has a brilliant sense of humour, he just has a different way of showing it.
