1.22 END UPDATE!!! -biomes: endstone cliffs/ scattered islands, void, endwood/ voidwood forests with new plants, in a mangrove/ acacia tree shape -ores: definitely enderite, but not as an upgrade but as an alternative to netherite from diamond -items: equippables, they don’t have to be full sets, like an elytra modifier or some sort of boots with slow falling or shulker bullet resistance just like turtle helmets with water breathing

Interesting bits of lore from this video: 1. The End is “a land disconnected from space and time” 2. End Cities and End Ships are complex and apparently built for great use, but are left quiet and still in this nearly dead world 3. This barren environment is a perfect habitat for the water-hating Endermen 4. The Ender Dragon is a tyrant and is protecting something, apparently the portal, and it needs to stay near the End Crystals to survive, while the Endermen are opposed to the Dragon
Few more points to add: 5. Endermen also hate sunlight but still spawn in the day (Albeit in way less frequency than the night). 6. Endermen may not be the original inhabitants of The End and only stay their because it's the perfect environment for them. Also I don't think the Ender Dragon is a tyrant. If the Endermen are not the original inhabitants of the End then this may explain their enmity towards the Dragon.

Judging by this video, the “mysterious” Ancient City portal, and the upcoming 15 year anniversary of Minecraft, it seems pretty obvious to me that an End Update has been in the works for a long time.

@@skeleton819 Simply put, they had to make a perfectly "ringed" set of blocks, and they are immovable. not the whole statue, just a random ring of Reinforced Deepslate. It's not a portal for now, maybe not for a few more years. but there's legitimately no other reason for it than to be the epicenter origin of the skulk. It maybe isn't the dimension we expect, but I wouldn't be surprised if they use it when Minecraft is at a low in popularity and they've ran out of options.

The End, despite it literally being 'the end' of the game, still lacks in content. The Nether, caves, the oceans, even biomes in general have all been massively overhauled and improved since 1.0.0. But not the end, it's stayed the same. And yes, while it _does_ have Shulker Boxes and Elytra, points of contention in game balance that are still being squabbled over years later, there really should be more than that. The Overworld's gotten all of the late-game challenges; Woodland Mansions, Ocean Monuments, _especially_ the Deep Dark, and yet the place that has the literal *final boss* has hardly anything, and I doubt it'll stay like that for long. The outer End islands will finally become the challenge zone they've deserved to be...

I think many people miss the whole point of the end being desolate and lonely, and I see many suggestions to give it lush biomes full of life which wouldn't exactly fit the end. However I hope if this DOES mean an end update is coming they still keep the desolate and lonely vibe of the end whilst still giving it more content and points of interests to explore Edit: To put this in perspective for those in the comments who seem confused, think about the deep dark (not the actual dangers of the deep dark like the warden but the biome and ancient cities themselves). The atmosphere of the deep dark is very lonely and sad. We see no natural mobs, but sculk everywhere. Often times we stumble upon an ancient city which is a mysterious structure that offers dangerous but also loot. The end has a similar vibe (no mobs except the lonely enderman, everything is void and endstone, a few end cities with big dangers but big loot) however what is missing is variety. Every end island is the same, the terrain is the same, the cities are the only structure, there isnt anything very interesting. This is what we need for the end, not lushes biomes.

I hope the end gets an update cous this is giving me hope... And it's better to keep hope because according to mojang they won't add a new dimension unless they update all existing dimensions. Nether already got updated very brilliantly and they did an awesome job. The overworld got a massive haul.. Big mountains, deeper and more complex caves, improved rivers and new awesome biomes so mojang did an awesome job here too.. But all of this means that in Theory next update should be the end update... Hopefully..

Interesting new bit of lore about the Ender Dragon literally surviving solely by the power of the End Crystals, and how it would perish if it were to stop moving. Also, that moving bit is actually the exact same thing with real-life fish: They need to constantly move to keep their oxygen flow pumping. Just gonna point that out. Not often we get official Minecraft lore, so I personally love that they did this. THANK YOU, MOJANG! ❤️

the end being so warped and disintegrated is because of the endermen. the dragon at the center is the last dragon alive due to the regenerative properties of the end crystals. this means this dragon can take damage and be okay, making her able to fight off the endermen around the center of the world, keeping what's left of the center island mostly intact. the end is the fate of the overworld and the nether, and the end once was like the other dimensions.
What I liked was that the narrator potentially hinted at the heart of endor when wondering what the dragon was protecting

It would be nice to have an end update I know the end is meant to be lovely and desolate but look at what they’ve done with Minecraft dungeons! They can easily make the end more lively! Just gotta wait!
there 4 things in Minecraft that desperately need an update 1. The end 2. Structures 3. Inventory 4. Bosses (least important) The caves are absolutely stacked with content Chalice dungeons, ancient cities, mineshafts, dungeons, minerals, biomes Nether has 4 biomes, nether fortress, and bastions…and a great ost the end with only….1 biome and 1 structure and 3 mobs (including the dragon)

The End is supposed to be a barren waste. Any extended stay requires careful planning by the player. When it is updated (as it should be), I hope they don’t just add a bunch of wood, ore, and better food making survival easy.
I love The End!! I’ve always thought it has a lot potential for intriguing lore and strange ecosystems! So glad it’s being talked about again! :D

Since the main purpose of the End is to act as the final battle for combatants, I wouldn’t be surprised if this combat Update added something new to the end. I mean, we got updated End Credits when exiting, but that’s technical, not playable.

End: 5 Types of Block (Endstone, Endstone Bricks, Obsidian, Purpur, End Rods) 3 Mobs (Dragon, Endermen, Shulkers) 2 Structures (End Cities, Portals) 1 Plant (Chorus Plant) Old Nether: 7 Types of Block (Glowstone, Lava, Magma, Netherrack, Nether Brick, Soul Sand, Quartz Ore) 7 Mobs (Blazes, Ghasts, Endermen, Magma Cubes, Skeletons, Wither Skeletons, Zombie Pigmen) 1 Structure (Nether Fortress) 1 Plant (Nether Wart)
aren't you forgetting blackstone, the warped forest and the crimson forest, the soul sand valley's. the piglines and zoglins, the bastion, all sorts of nether plants. and etc? not meant to be rude
