the stalker is terrifying! I think it would be super interesting if they had some sort of cave structure like trial chambers but it's just a gross wet cave with tons of stalkers in them. This way the player could turn around and leave, or they could stay and try to acquire loot without touching them. If you do touch one, all that are in the vicinity would be able to track and attack. That one block tall feature is absolutely nightmare fuel

That is just nightmare fuel for me.

one of the mojang developers certainly got inspired by the betweenland’s mod stalker and his deep cave system. the mod got created in 1.6 and the warden got created in 1.19. yeah huge time difference and the deep caves from the betweenlands totally looks like an old version of the deep dark and warden when we look closely.

I really do love the mystery surrounding the warden, the cities, and sculk in its entirity. What is it, how did it get there, why is the warden so hostile? Its so intriguing and I never expected something so foreboding and ominous to ever be in vanilla minecraft lol
To think the warden was what caused the ancient builders to flee the cities. Disc five tells us that the wither had found the ancient builders, the ancient builders built a portal to escape then out came the warden, the warden kills the wither and after that the warden reeked havoc causing the ancient builders to flee to the end. But that's just a theory, a game theory, thanks for reading
Gud.
The cities were made after the sculk. They have wool roads because the sculk and the warden predate the cities. So the warden cannot have come from the portal.
@@cosmopoiesecriandomundos7446 no when the sculk and the warden came from the portal some ancient builders stayed behind in the city and they found out the warden was blind and relies on sound, so they started placing the wool roads to absorb the vibrations. Besides the ancient builders wouldn't of purposely build a city with a dangerous mob going around Watch matpats videos about the warden he goes into depth to explain what happened

Kinda unfortunate that the Warden had to be dialed back so much for the sake of not traumatizing little kids. I love the warden so much. It’s perfect, and the pulsing rythmons sounds really get you feeling stressed. The vibe is immaculate
i feel like the only problem of the warden is… it’s not scary because of one thing : by over elaborating it, they ended up making him too expected. they made it like every third time they activate a shrieker he spawns and chase you and if you crouch, sniffs you. the problem is : it’s too expected. the player will just know « don’t ever make any noise here and it will be fine » « but when he uncovers you, run on wool or die » when you hear about it, it just seems worthless. the player know exactly what they shouldn’t do at anytime because of the shriekers and his sniffing ability. it would have been way better if it was a rare mob that can appear in the ancient cities(or near abandoned houses with loot) anywhere’s and at anytime, but still rarely. and couldn’t sniff the player, so it would have been just way scarier. yes removing one of his abilities would have made it way scarier because the player shouldn’t make noise, but wouldn’t know exactly when. just near some structures or in the deep dark. like that the snowball trick from the trailer would have been interesting, but it would conflict one thing from the sense of players : they wanna go fast, but doesn’t want to die. so this could have been the most interesting mob in minecraft history, not only this angry strong and flawless neighbor that chase you if you’re way too noisy in his apartment. so yeah, i think mojang should have made it simpler to make it better, to like what he’s been in the legendary 1.17 trailer more than he’s right now.

It would actually be cool to see the stalkers back as a helping hand for the warden, as in the stalker being this also blind creature that is passive and what it does is warn the warden and flee from the player and from other mobs, and instead keep a distance. That'd be neat

I heard a theory about the deep dark: Once upon a time, there was an underground civilisation. Then the Warden came and wiped them all out, destroying the whole city. The souls of the slaughtered villagers were taken by the skulk catalysts and were turned into Skulk. That explaines the Skulk in the caves, the destroyed City, but leaves the portal for another story.
Hear me out Minecraft. Those first two warden ideas are AMAZING. I would absolutely love a separate difficulty called “spooky” or some other word that allows both of them to spawn. So players who don’t want such a horror experience can toggle it on and off.

I'm sad that the warden never got some of that cool "End Portal" like texture, It would have given it more depth and make it look like theres an entire new dimension inside of it, further hinting at the "Deep Dark Portal" but I guess that's the reason that the warden doesn't have that texture as well.

I like to imagine the wardens as ancient golems which should have protected the residents of the ancient cities, but once the sculk wiped away everything, the golems were just left there to be slowly infected and turned in to what we see now. This could explain why you can't farm them outside of the deep dark and why they're the only living beings other than the sculk infection itself.
I actually made a theory similar to this when the warden first came out

@@sboy2044 that's the only hole in my theory, another theory that i have is that instead of golems, they were some sort of magic mech suit worn by the ancient dwellers in an attempt to protect themselves from the sculk, only to be unalived and infected.

The Stalker randomly attacking and bending to follow you into tunnels is TERRIFYING
I wish you could somehow befriend hostile mobs. I've been playing for over 10 years, and have always felt this way. There should be some Extremely Dangerous method of getting an item that can allow you to tame/befriend any hostile mobs. For example, the endermen... They're friend shaped :3 They always say "hey!" and ask you "what's up?" or "what's this", with a block in hand. They're so cute, at least to me!! And I think it would be nice to befriend them! Maybe they could help you with terraforming, you could, for example, mark an area to flatten in the plains and they'd help you pick up all the blocks! And whatever the item is that you get to befriend the hostile mobs, you would need like 10 of them to befriend the warden (assuming you could survive long enough to use the 10 items on them!!!) Maybe the warden could use sculk sensors to warn you that creepers or other hostile mobs are nearby! That way you can focus on your build without getting an explosive surprise from behind! And maybe... JUST maybe... You could work really hard and get enough taming items to tame the ender dragon. But not the first one, oh no. That one's untameable. You could use it on the dragon egg, tame and hatch it in the overworld. You'd still need the end crystals and the whole setup though!

I think the stalker would still be cool to see as it’s own thing, hopefully in a mod or add-on. I like that crawling animation.
Minecraft should really add more Deep Dark exclusive mobs. I already have three ideas based on the Sensor, Shrieker, and Catalyst: Sludger, the Guided Ears of the Warden. It would like to weep, but it has no eyes Appears as a sloppy pile of skulk, with a Sensor as a head. Chunks of deepslate may be visible. Passive Scuttler, the Rickety Ceiling Crawler of the Deep. It would like to listen, but it has no ears Appears as a skinny, long limbed entity with a Shrieker for a head, with an eye inside if instead of the two souls, taller than the player. Afraid of literally everything, so it hides on the ceilings. Passive Summoner, the Ordained High Ruler of the Skulk. It would like to scream, but it has no mouth Appears as an over-the-top Pope staff, forking into four ends at the top for the Catalyst to comfortably sit in. Oh so very very hostile 2:39 also the fine print, lol
I think Minecraft should add Copper Golems too, Because I think this is a "Copper Based Update". You know that in this update, Minecraft added alot more varieties of Copper blocks.
Brother, add the stalker, its concept is fascinating, a mod that can sneak around and even go through a block would be the best for Minecraft. That feeling of fear and feeling watched that previously existed in the game was beautifully indescribable, it seems to me that the stalker (the first warden design in Minecraft) is something that the game needs, a hostile mob that reminds us of the fear we felt before in the game something that makes us make a decision whether to enter or not enter that place, the lights turning off the sounds produced by whoever is chasing you, stalking you and passing through blocks where the player would not fit is simply beautiful something that would undoubtedly give a lot of To talk about the game, currently we have wanted a mob like this, please mojang listen to the community and give such a wonderful mob a chance.

I love how before the warden exploring the caves was scary but nearly no singular mob would have us running out of it. Then the warden comes around and 90% of interactions are like "Dude... theres a warden here, we gotta go!"
I wish they also went into the depth about the actual history of the the warden, like why there was an underground city, what were the testing experiments, and how the warden came to be in the game rather than “here’s how we developed it into the game”
