  • Hey, don't mess with their whiskers like they did toward the end.

    • Thanks for pointing this out. I made a mistake including this stock clip at the end. It's best to NEVER play with a cat's whiskers as it stresses them out and agitates them. Many sensory messages get transmitted to their brain and creates an overload of stimulation. Thanks again

  • I had a Russian Blue once. I named her Smoky. She was extremely loving, and she would be perfectly willing to sit on my lap for hours. She also had a very thick coat that kept her warm outdoors. I tamed a stray cat, Shadow, and soon after, she showed me her kittens. One ran away, and the other, Smoky, stayed, and had more kittens - Cookie, Jet, and Storm. We had to give Cookie's brothers away, but then Smoky had more kittens. Thea and Grace died before they could open their eyes, but Clover managed to stay alive. Then Cookie had kittens. Dragon, Midnight, Jasper, and Thunder. Dragon, Midnight, and Jasper all went to the same home, and we were lucky enough that no one wanted Thunder, so we got to keep him. Cookie, my favorite cat out of all of them, recently went missing, and Smoky got a new home because we couldn't afford to spay her (sadly), and he was pregnant again. It's made me really sad that my princess is missing, but we still have Clover and Thunder. I know this is probably confusing, so I made you all a cat family tree. And for those of you wondering, they all mated with the same feral male. Shadow, Moonlight, Grace, Thea, and Smoky were gray. Storm, Jasper, Midnight, Clover and Thunder were all black with orange tint in the sun. Dragon was striped. Storm and Cookie were black, long haired cats with black fur and an orange tint. The male cat, Moon, that they mated with, was very kind to the kittens. I was never able to tame him, but nonetheless, he was very gentle with the kittens, and the few times I got to stroke him, I could tell there was not a bit of evil in his heart. I really appreciate how he didn't attack the kittens, and accepted the fact that these were my cats. My current cats are Clover and Thunder, and they are both neutered males. Clover is one of Thunder's uncles. All of my cats are outdoor, but they are allowed indoors. • I have a lovely cat that is half Bengal with all the Bengal characteristics, looks, long legs especially at the rear end & loves climbing, It has the silver, grey, black coat with Bengal markings but much of him is white underneath & from the legs down so he looks like he is wearing long socks. Very good at catching prey. Very affectionate & talkative with many different sorts of meows etc. Will follow you around & will come when called. I like the fact that the short very dense fur is tethered so every single hair whatever the colour will always end in white so it shines beautifully in the sun

My most beautiful cat was Simon... a Lilac Siamese..he had a cream colored coat with dusty Lilac points and beautiful turquoise eyes....his personality was regal and reserved...as if he looked down on his subjects with a touch of haughtiness...he was an affectionate and loving Prince who woke me every morning with a kiss

  • As someone passionate about cats, naturally this video was prime clickbait 😁. However, with so many cat breeds, I was dismayed to see the inclusion of three breeds that are predisposed to health problems because of the way they have been bred. The Sphynx is a mutation that has been perpetuated, a cat with no fur, just cruel in my eyes. The Scottish Fold, another mutation not recognised as a breed here in the UK because the mutation that causes the folded ears also caused the cat painful joint problems as it gets older. The Persian, now a deformed beyond recognition from only a few decades ago; a cat's nose does not belong between its eyes and being bred to be brachycephalic (flat faced) carries similar health problems to the poor dogs that are bred that way. I can't behold anything beautiful in any animal so radically altered that it cannot function and live as those of the same species who are of normal conformation.

    • @@crazyaboutcats Thank you for your reply. I am aware that many people simply don't know the health problems these animals suffer, especially when they look comparatively normal, like the Scottish Fold. There was a time, here in the UK, when it looked like the Pug dog breed would disappear - as it should - but then it became fashionable and now they are everywhere and it is most upsetting seeing the poor creatures struggle to breathe in warm weather. I know one of our veterinary organisation is asking companies not to use them in advertising as is increases demand. I just wish you'd chosen three different breeds, that's all.

  • Those poor Persians look like someone punched them in their noses, and their noses stayed punched in. Surely, this must interfere with their breathing. They usually don't live as long as kitties with natural noses, and I can see why. Breeders often don't care about the well being of the cats they breed -- they cater to people who want something exotic, and to cat show standards, which aren't always best for the cats. People want to put prizes over their pets. Shame on the breeders who breed these hairless kitties and Persians with smashed in noses!

    @jrnfw4060@jrnfw4060 Жыл бұрын
    • Persians are prone to respiratory issues. So is my favorite breed, the American Burmese. I look for a breeder who doesn’t go for extreme facial flatness. It’s not good for the animals. They look inbred to me, anyway, when they have that feature. I would probably go with European Burmese, as they have longer noses, but there are no breeders in my area.
