This is the brand new Audi A6 Avant E-Tron Concept that's due to be released in 2024. Audi has displayed some seriously impressive technology in the A6 Avant E-Tron such as projectors all around the car, you can even project video games from the front headlights. Today Sergi gives us a closer look at what is shaping up to be one of the coolest cars ever made.

I think the traditional, turning signal light can better warn oncoming traffic or traffic behind, rather than the projection on the floor, which only a few cars around can notice

Exactly! Having it ONLY at the floor looks mega bad... But I doubt the goverments or European Union will allow having this. Maybe combine it - to have blinkers on the car itself + projections on the ground, but only on projections on the ground ..naah, this is dangerous.
I don't think it's gonna be visible under very bright sunlight. It's definitely a gimmick.

I like the projection turn signals but tbh they should never be replacing regular ones. Just extras. If you're a bit farther away and it's daylight no way you can see them

Yeah, they are just meant as a additional safety feature, definitely not gonna replace regular blinkers :) but very cool looking nonetheless
100%. Same with the door handle, it should not be removed. The automatic opening should be add-on not replacement.
yeah, im thinking the same, but looks like those lights showning the direction the car is turning by the postion of the wheel, not the blink lights, wich must be on the back lights as used to be. my thoughts
Looks like the Citroen C5X. Also when the car is covered in snow and dirt these projection blinkers will be just great!

The styling is spot on, but just imagine it goes into production with all those features, would be a nightmare to fix when faults starts popping up.
Hehe, my 2012 is the same. You just learn how to fix it over time, They require constant learning, proactive maintenance and spending. Many owners that keep them longer have learned all sorts of crazy stuff. I've replaced so many mechanical things, electrical stuff, sensors, modules, ,even learned how to recode the car when needed.

As an RS6 Avant fan, I am deeply in love with the proportions of this concept. I’ll be happy if they keep these proportions and design language on the production version one

@@chethemerc7841 you are right! Don’t get me wrong, I hate electric cars too since they are boring. But as they are being pushed on us, at least Audi doesn’t make them super ugly like the likes of BMW and Mercedes-Benz. Aside from Audi and Porsche, the rest of German car electrified are made ugly as if they are on a mission to destroy the image or identity of said brand.
7:03 the sticker is there because of the currently mounted tires for winter conditions (which you can see before clearly). It is obligatory in Germany to have those if it snows and the most winter tires are limited at 240 km/h max (cheaper tires even earlier). Otherwise you could go even faster. The sticker is being removed when the normal tires are being mounted again. I think the RSQ8 can reach up to 300 km/h!
and dont forget, theres always a 30% backup on the maximum speedlimit of the tires :D

The rims on the RSQ8 look like they came off of an RS5 DTM racecar, definitely interesting but also very cool to see Audi take another approach to spec their cars. Love that Audi is finally adding an avant to their E-Tron lineup 💙

Not really into the gimmicky lights but absolutely love the overall styling and proportions of the car. It sits beautifully on uber nice wheels and looks menacing even at slow speeds. Hope this is how it ends up when in production.
The wheel arch room is way too small for a convenient ride. Final car for sure will sit higher.

I think the gimmicky aspect of the lights is highlighted by the style of the presentation.
Totally agree about fancy lights - stop spending money on stupid "dancing" lights and concentrate on the drive train , suspension and battery life!

For design aesthetics and AUDI DNA they absolutely nailed it! - the almost slammed expression togther with the quite clean dynamic expression and super flow just makes it a perfect AUDI. Also now that there are no more front engine, the stance is so so much better - excellent rear and front solutions too. 🤟
F Audi. glad I sold my 991 Turbo S. I still have my Model X and m3. Next car will be another Tesla. VW motors group is too political so I’ll be using my money elsewhere.
But knowing E-Tron, and their shit electric drivetrains they will be no match to Tesla sadly. German's know about the looks, but their electric drivetrain game is very bad. I mean These E-Trons are always very good looking. Just needs a Tesla drivetrain, and Tesla efficiency. At least Mercedes is catching up better than Volkswagen Group.

Every gas station on the high way has now a seperate lane on the road to the gas station leading to FastNed its a company with fast chargers for electric cars up to 350kW charging. And currently people with money drive electric and charge there. The poor people go to the gas station to get gasoline.
As harsh as it sounds, but if you can't afford it, then you are not Audi's target audience.

It's a very imposing design concept, especially the sportbrake/estate version. The tech will undoubtedly be extremely good and it would be very interesting to see if Audi A) brings this car to the market, and B) how much of the design would actually make it to the final model. Let us not forget how good the Mercedes EQS concept car looked, only for something to get lost in translation when the actual model was released

The indicator projection is cool, but the example they give us is in low sunlight/darkness. Not sure how visible this will be on a sunny day. Great looking car tho 👌

An absolute beauty! What I'm a bit concerned about are those charging ports. Here in the Northern Europe they'll be full of snow and ice at winter times. But anyway... imo. that will be the nicest looking electric car on the market.

@@pan6593 Im just selling my Etron for an Nio ET7. Its not best in everything, but in some things it makes my Model S seem 20 years old. Very comfortable (silent) ride, allot of space and good seats. The range is not good enough for long trips, and the acceleration could be better. The perfect car is not made yet. Even internet trolls know that. ;)

I wonder how those projected turn signals will look on snow and slush or in heavy sun... looks to me that this won't be legal any time soon as it's not instinctive to see what the lights are even if they are visible at night.

As an owner of an ICE Audi I received a mailer with an etron on it inside was a service center coupon for 50.00, if that’s not a red flag I don’t know what is…. Audi’s love to spend time in the shop and this one would be no different.

I like the styling. The lights and projection things is more of a gimmick that actually useful thing imo. Those turn signals and warning lights that projects to the ground...yeah, i don't about those. Might have some compliance issues.
Check out adaptive headlights. It's not for the games they use projectors there. That way the headlights can be adjusted such that they will light the road ahead of you without reflecting off, say, rain drops or snow flakes. Very cool. Much cooler than the video game, even though with the same tech you can do that too,
@@PanuMarkkanen adaptive headlights are not comparable to gimmicky lights this car has. Projecting turn signal on the ground? I would love to see it in action in winter when there are shit ton of snow on the ground. Driver in the back is not supposed to look at the ground to see a signal. I am 100% sure many things about the lights on this car will not be in production vehicles. they are useless.

Outside features are great but I would've loved to see the inside features as well.
I was in charge of developing new lighting technology for a rather large 'consumer products' company, and we worked on projection and various lighting effects like moving bands of coloured lights, keypad lights that could match the light/image in the display, 'multi-layered' indicators & messages, 14 years ago, but with only the power of one LiPo cell...I even had discussions about headlights like this with a major semiconductor company 10+ years ago...it's great to see these ideas coming to fruition! But, the USA will take years to 'approve' these European innovations, just like with halogen and xenon headlights.

Here in Europe gouvernements are allergic to aftermarked LED's in older cars. In your homes they "force" you to exchange your old lightbulbs for LED's, but your car...
in europe we also take long time to finally adopt the full battery vehicle this is obvious a problem in democratic nations... so no problem on only your side of the ocean😂😂😂😂 i hope we will manage the dekarbonisation fast enough
