Correction, Audi creates awesome concept cars and they release awesome looking versions of them. Like the Audi R8 and i have seen lots of concept technology being realized in production versions.
Well, because the price, they don't make for commerce, it wouldn't be rentable for them.
I'd be concerned about the glass in the grill, especially since this is considered an off-road vehicle. The trunk concept is fascinating. Surprised it took this long for someone to try it.

it's probably tempered glass, strong enough to stop bullets.

Please Audi. Bring this car to production. Static dash, make the AR optional, keep all other parts of the design as-is, and build this car! Crazy good. Love!!
they are not, too complicated and expensive for the amount of money they can make from it, still a super fucking cool concept car though

Wow! The new tech is getting better and better every year. I remember when I was younger, about 30 yrs ago, zI never would have thought we'd have Back to the Future cars in real life. This is an absolutely incredible vehicle and the AG is nuts!! I love it. But I know there are some drawbacks he didn't mention.

The augmented reality is what blows me away the most, ever since I was a kid I’ve loved the idea of having iron man’s heads up display in real life and this really just brought it to life. Hope I get to try it one day!
Yep it just mind boggling it combine reality with technology..
LOVE the shape, chunky tires, "toothy" details and that magically practical back end! AR would take some getting used to but worth it for this one!😊
Super cool , the AR , great use of the frunk space to make the entire inside of the car feel much more roomy. All round some very good features.
I love the flexibility of having multiple car types in one, but I think they may have gone a little too far with the virtual interface. Driving has always been a very tactile experience and that seems totally lost in this concept. If they want to go more high tech, I think having an A.I. respond to voice commands for control of the car's features and controls would be better and safer than having to find everything virtually. The time it took to find a song by scrolling through choices in the ceiling was a long time to not be watching the road.
I think that choosing a song mode is only available in fully autonomous mode. He said it switches to driving mode when the dash and steering wheel come out.
Perfectly working voice controls is what we need. Absolutely

Nah guess it will have extensive voice commands and display options. I will do it, and there's nothing than me or you could think of they didn't before. Simply, they are professionals dedicated to that.

and it's electric, but yeah look wise and how it works is pretty awesome, though idk how the open pickup truck back will work during the rain, probably why they also have the divider which is neat.

I like the idea of this fast back, raised, off-roadish sedan. Feels very cool. I'd appreciate the ability to raise and lower it even further, a more permanent steering wheel and cluster, the ability to make the lower glass opaque, and some other changes. Making the teeth-looking things come out of the bottom is silly, but the overall shape and design is way cool.
I think those teeth give it a more industrial, heavy machinery-ish look, which contrasts well with the overall slick aesthetic

Always an Audi fan! This one caught my eye, a simple, cool nice blend of a futuristic SUV and a Supercar!
Technology is proceeding at such a rapid rate that one can barely keep up! It's like driving a grounded version of a jet with Heads Up technology before you. Amazing!
It's unbelievable. The technology in this car is alien. But cool as chilled Ice. No body is stealing that car without the glasses I presume that's one reason that technology is designed. With all that tech to make life simpler. But technology has its technical problems. Which might make it less simple. Well done Audi. Audi Has met the future. Outstanding
I recently hit a large piece of construction debris lying in one of the middle lanes travelling at 65 mph. The impact tore my license plate off together with the screws. I was lucky I was driving a 1994 Ford Bronco with a steel bumper. I wouldn't want that construction debris say "hello" to me inside the vehicle after flying through the cool looking glass grille.

I absolutely love the overall design of this car, however. I really do not know how I feel about the augmented reality glasses. I think he would cost more of a problem as a driver, even if the vehicle is autonomous. Also, I really like the glass sides and front.However, if you take this vehicle off road I bet you any money the glass will get broken as soon as a stone or rock hits it. Unless the glass is super indestructible. Really really impressive technology though
That pickup change is a real good idea
I understand all this tech is proof of concept to demonstrate the vision and potential Audi has for the future. But even 50 years from now, I don't see a lot of that interior working out. More moving parts equals more fail points. And when it comes down to it, reliability and simplicity will prevail.
When it comes to concepts, Audi goes out of this world, love the clean interior, wonder how much of these features would ever go into production.

the point of these concepts is to showcase their technologies nothing more probably will see some features from these trickle into production cars in 5-8 years but theyll be a lot more realistic

@@davidb7358 no I mean If you are driving this car over rocks and boulders it is guaranteed to hit a rock once in awhile that’s why cars like a Range Rover defender have bullbars on the front cos they r actually designed to go off road. It takes more than fancy tyres
They most likely already thought about that when designing the car, so it isn't a major problem I assume

its more out of the box than the cyber truck of you know who..and looks good too...great Audi!
The greatest thing about all these transformations is that they seem to work super quietly which is especially important in an EV which is a lot quieter so that all other sounds are more noticable.
I was actually thinking a hybrid of Iron Man, and what Harrison Ford drove in blade runner

Incredible attributes. Love the design and the look is beefy nice. Best concept yet. Can you take the glass out for airflow through the body" That would tickle some fancy.
I think the coolest thing is the possibility to extend the trunk. This is really a point where all the car manufactures should concentrate to. All the rest is cool but for instance I don't believe augmented reality will take place soon. I'd like to see more information on the wind shield but not wearing glasses. And please let the air conditioned controls in the physical form!

What I love is taking away the mechanical safety features away and relying on pure electrical engineering while traveling 70+ mph I mean its one thing if power steering goes out, it's another if the freaking servos go out while steering.
The cost of getting any of those moving components fixed is gonna be enormous

the glass everywhere on an ORV is a little mis-guided. It would probably also cost an arm and a leg to replace the glass I bet, like the small back panel windows on other vehicles. Looks cool, and the inside tech is pretty sweet really, just not something that would actually be useful in a real situation lol

The tires should be run flats or a type of tire that doesn't require air so it can get punctured and it will keep on going.

I believe that in about 10-15 more years, this system would be super practical and even more responsive, but as of now i see it more as a concept, which dont get me wrong still super amazing and i hope that one day we all are able to use it. So Hypeeee!!
