A savannah stand-off! Two black-backed jackals hunt warthog piglets in the middle of a warthog sounder. The adult warthogs seem very unconcerned about the jackals and continue feeding while the warthogs chase the piglets around. The jackals did not manage to catch a piglet while I was watching.
Ol Pejeta Conservancy, Laikipia, Kenya
Those jackals are actually just training that piglet to become the strongest, fastest, baddest warthog alive.
I agree with you
And they will call him MISTER PIG!
1:28 The Gazelle in the back like: Let me mind my own business before I'm next 😆
Possibly from the warthog. I just saw a video of a warthog killing and eating a newborn gazelle…
This could go on for 2 years , and nobody gets hurt.
🤣🤣🤣🤣
😂😂😂😂
Legends tell still going Lol

I love how the adults have absolutely no concern 😂😂 they’re like juniors gotta learn to fight for himself
Finally, a warthog video where they don’t get turn to pieces.
G Hii whare do you live
😂😂😂😂😂😂

Very brilliant comment!
Those piglets are very smart. They stay close to their mothers.👏😂 Jackals are extremely skilled animals and cannot be dodged easily.
I love how the gazelle makes a cameo appearance in the background... I guess she was just waiting for a few bucks to come our way for the appearance
I don’t know why I find it funny but when the adults just start randomly chasing the jackals away I burst out laughing.
26mrwrestlemania Warthogs in general are hilarious to watch! Haha
i hate pigs
Honestly,me too😅
You know you dont receive any respect as a real predator when your food pays you no mind.
Senior warthogs to juniors be like: we all faced the same thing oo
"Me and my partner bob are here to baby sit ... just keep on grazing, we will handle the brats"
This is how teachers turned a blind eye on me when i was being chased by a bully and decided to run towards them hoping they would interfere...
That's the beauty of Kenya .... my motherland
I guess this is the way how these warthogs train themselves to run faster and faster every day until they get bigger.
Very interesting upload. The only chance for a jackal kill is to stampede a piglet away from the sounder. They were probably successful when the piglets were smaller, more numerous, less smarter siblings. Thanks for posting.
I don't think that would work either! Warthogs have some to the lowest infant mortality rates because their babies are FAST AF!!!! lol A jackal was never going to catch one!
@@LKauf279 Hello Cris. There's a delicate balance between prey and predator species and the environment. Overwhelming success of a predator will deprive it of its food supply. Cheers.
Did anybody see the deer in the back ground checking the jackals & warthogs out LMAO. Too funny gotta love Nature.
Thats no deer, impala
@@JohnJonathan996 it's a gazelle
Hunting !!!! I would say that looked more like a really good game of tag
The warthogs are like “ that’s small fries we’re not gonna bother”.
Amazing. The adult warthogs seem disinterested @ fox shenanigans. Probably they have hired the foxes to train the young piglets how to evade predators.
Jackals aren't foxes. The name is literally in the title.
What a beautiful video with mother warthogs and her Babies It looks like they are enjoying the day here with grassing Looks cute But these jackals what are they doing there ❤❤❤❤❤
Even if they could lift the babies, with the speed of the wart hog and weight of the piglet, the jackal could never get away.
They can seriously injure, and when he dies, warthogs will not always be guarding.
All I could hear in my head, when an adult warthogs has had enough and started running after a jackal : ''Why you little, bring yo @ss back over here ! 😂😂😂
He's laughin at you man, that's the way the warthog laughs.
@@andrewbrown2888 Laughing at your mom, you mean ?! 🤔 Hahaha that's right 😂🤣😂
What's your real name dildostroya? Incognito pussy?
Jakals are so cleaver. Its play with death. I guss they were succeeded in same situations. But the way they choose to hunt, is so dangerous & uniqe . I like it .
They come right up on a fresh lion or hyena kill sometimes and help themselves. Smart animals. Risky but smart.
Wild dogs: step aside cousin, don’t humiliate us all together
Wow! The adults are super tolerant of the jackals! They better tone down on that tolerance because one wrong move can cost a piglet!

Jackels: Hey Piglet, we got some candies... follow us, or meet us behind that tree. Piglet: Mama, these thugs are molesting me... 🌚 Momma: You bunch of rascals! 😡 You want a piece of bacon?

It´s like playing but it´s not actually. It´s hunting. Jackals try to make kids run and separate from the warthogs group, but they don´t fall on trick.

using so much energy for No gain
The jackals trick, consisted of separating the piglets from their mothers, but they were too smart to fall that trap. The mothers on the other hand, never perceived the jackals as a threat.
the piglets are getting trained too. they must learn to deal with bigger and stronger enemies in future.
If you're a parent, you know that there are days when you'd let jackals swipe one of your children.
Most of the time, the sows/boars are not even bothered. Like they're allowing the piglets to get some much needed 'threat defensive training'
The warthogs are not taking the Jackles to seriously.

This was hilarious & fun 2 👀
How the fuck does anything make it into adulthood in the wild
Volume
No old age money...never make it
Good question.
The adults seem very complacent about protecting their young.
jackels aren't perceived as a threat
Moms like these fools know they they cant manage the kids Just wastimg time
I also noticed the adult warthogs are not seeing the jackals as a threat.maybe because the piglets are now too big to become" lunch bacon" for the jackals.they are usually very alert when other predators are in the vicinity
They know what kind of predator that is considered as a danger (Lyon, Leopard, Cheetah, (Pack) of wild dog
Zero fucks were given that day...
Play with the jackals but don't go to fare away. haha
what a clever little jackals trying to lure the youngster away from its group by pretending they just want to play with it XD
"Clever" ......didn't do them much good .....it seemed they were just wasting their energy....These piglets are just too fast also, even the older hogs didn't see them as a threat, ....just an annoyance...Even if a jackal would attempt to grab one, he/she wouldn't be able to run off with it....Probably play hunting, or testing the hogs.......
They were very obviously told don't talk to strangers
Foucara
Pam Pam .

the jackals are absolutely no threat to the wzrthog they're just freaking sitting there
And the warthogs are like, go baby become luch for them, the grass is yummier than your naughtiness
Warthogs are insane, if they managed to lift one of the piglets the Warthog would have changed the jackal at supersonic speed and smashed it into the middle of next week
Plot twist: Mother warthogs hires two jackals to train their Little piggies to outrun predators in the jungle
Good training for the piglets...
Kamokami
The jackals make it look like a game but they just want to drive a young one away from the adults.
If they caught one and it started screaming, it would've been all over for those jackals

Big 👍 Super footage. Some great close-ups. An enjoyable watch - Nature and the Wildlife & Birds within are the Greatest Free Show on Earth - if you have a little patience and 'see' what is around you ◕‿◕
I mean the Warthogs aren't even trying to run the Jackals off. Do they even love their kids?lol. They could easily crush the Jackals
Callum Doyle Aw i see
There too busy making pigs of themselves.
Do they ever get tired?
Well clearly the parents merely see them as a nuisance rather than a predator otherwise they would not ignore or tolerate those two chasing their kids in full sight.

Found it funny. What a hard work the jackals have! And the piglets are very cleaver.
They know the Jackel is no real threat. The two would have to single out a piglet, and it's not happening. "Wishful shopping."
BEAUTIFUL
Did the jackals even have a game-plan???
Wonder what % of overall prey animals get to live a full life in the National Parks.
This animal is beautiful
Good training for the piglets, that's why the parents weren't too fussed!
It looks the litte warthog enjoying.
This is amazing a warthog is fully confident that nothing bad is gonna happen
This is how jackals practice their fresh game kill scavenging techniques before going out to eat with the hyenas and lions...😂
Lol 😂
The elder wartdogs are taking this as training for their kids to tackle Lion and Tigers
No, not tigers. it would be lions, leopards, and cheetahs. (possibly)
@@nikAnimals_ yeah, these are African savannas, there will be hyena, and wild dogs too
Seems like the warthogs in the savannah are sort of free-for-all snacks. Predators take them for granted. If they fail to take down an impala, gazelle, buffalo or antelope, they snatch one hog instead. I really wonder how can the hogs still survive in that predator-infested habitat. Almost every predator are after them. They are not safe even in their burrows. How come they didn't go extinct?
I know that they have a symbiotic relationship with hyenas. Hyena’s use their dens. Solo predators like leopards or cheetahs can actually get their asses handed to them by warthogs with their speed, big body’s and tusks. When they can escape, they’re actually super fast. I assume pack animals like wild dogs, hyenas and lions usually look them over because they can’t be easily shared so they don’t associate warthog kills with a full belly. Edit: okay I know the word for their relationship isn’t symbiotic (given that warthogs dont benefit but also are not hurt) but for the sake of me just leaving this comment and moving on please just understand or correct me LOL
I think they pro create often. Look how hard they are to get rid of in America
I saw on another documentary they make friends with exiled lions and the lion defends them from other hunters and explains to them the warthog is their friend and they can’t eat it and the other hunting lion is like oh sorry my bad my family is starving but you’re cool so I won’t eat you.
They have predators around yet they still graze
Oh come on do you see a jackal a pedator 😂😂😂😂😂
Warthogs won’t naturally be bothered by jackals...in fact...they can easily kill a jackal if the jackals attempt to mess with it or try to kill it.
OMG. They certainly aren't maternal/paternal creatures. They only went after the Jackals when they interrupted their meal. 'Go away kid...I'm busy'
I don't know if I'm more amazed at the ineptness of the jackals or the nonchalance of the warthogs.
They are well aware that they are too big and their piglets are way too fast!! lol
Speed of the hog is incredible
The piglets are so swift!!
This is my favorite 😀
It ended up as a jogging for the Jackals but they are the ultimate teaser.
Adult warthogs be like: kids do not understand racism, i will just let them mix and play together while im having my lunch

I love how they just live period! They why they hunt the loyalty I can keep going on and on. But that way I call myself the Jackcal as a rap artist because I know for a fact a strong pack of Jackcal will kill any top pack wildlife
One day this dogs would reAlised 20 years is gone and these little one has great great grandchildren.
Looked like the little guys were in training.
NICE video.........................
In fact the adult warthogs can do nothing except giving non-threat warning. Neither the jackals nor the adult warthogs can harm each other. But the clever jackals are waiting for a mistake of the piglet if it runs too far away from the parents.

Babys strong and wonderfoul
The adult warthogs almost could not have cared less about the possibility of their babies being eaten.
What if adult Warthogs form the circle around the youngsters?! Like bulls against volves do.

everyone keeps playing until someone gets accidentally eaten
Rather than Piglets wouldn’t they be Warthoglets?

Looks like me every saturday night
Jackals don't get tired they chase there prey the whole day and night until it's too tired to run and be eaten.
This video is a textbook example of pigs being pigs (too busy eating) and jackals being jackals (nefarious)...
All it takes is one swipe with those tusks and it would be over for those jackals. These warthogs know they aren't serious predators
They were just training. They had plenty of opportunities to bite the piglets by the tail, which they would've done if they were actually hunting...
At the end everybody did sme good run of exercise
And just like that the jackals went hungry that day.
Atleast there is no animation . Thanks for original
