god I just finished the movie and omg, this whole story is a masterpiece, I cried like a crazy. The last time I cried like this was when I watched Clannad a few years ago, and not even that anime made me feel what I felt watching Violet Evergarden. The story, the soundtrack, the animation, the characters and their development, how heartbreaking is to lose someone important for you, the grieving process itself, and how those situations will change you as a person. And just the amazing development of Violet, how all this really sad and confusing situations made her grow and made her finally understand what humans emotions are, how she finally understood that she wasn't a weapon, she didn't need an order to act, she was a human being, a human that have feelings, that feels empathy for other, that feel remorse, and knows what love is. And just watch the process of how this broken and innocent girl became the strong woman that she is, was absolutely beautiful and heartbreaking at the same time. 100000000000000/10 ❤

I love listening to songs like this and seeing comments in a bunch of different languages; it's really moving how one song can reach so many people universally. This song is incredible. Evan Call is truly a genius.
The moment when the trumpet comes in is just priceles. In that one moment, whole show is captured. That sound is slicing the reality with such a grief until the flute takes over, high above everything, its goinng alone, like Violet..... Seriously those are the moments I live for.

I haven't watched Violet Evergarden yet, but this particular song gave me instant chill when I first heard it. It's a beautiful, sacrificial, heroic, heart-wrenching yet fleeting love song to me - not necessarily a romantic love, perhaps something more than that.. Long story short I just really love it ^^ Thank you for sharing it with us!
If you haven't already, I strongly, strongly recommend it. Just beware, it's one of the most heart wrenching shows of any type I've ever watched. Where most people rate YLIA as the most painful shows, compared to this, I'd put YLIA around a 6/10 for emotional damage and this up at around 11 lol.
